“I ordered a chicken salad, salad, there was a 4.50 upcharge. It was amazing and extra large. We got three servings from it. Delicious with blueberries and strawberries on a bed of lettuce. It was expensive but excellent and very large. My bill with ice tea was about $25.00.“

“This is my go-to spot for sushi in the city. While there are several more premium options for sushi, they come with premium price tags. None of them hold a candle to Origami in terms of value. The menu here is extensive, so it will be easy to find something for everyone in your party. The rolls are pretty standard, but all are good. Their nigiri in particular stands out for being excellent yet being almost half the price of some of the other more hyped sushi locations in the city. Their cocktails are great as well.“

Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking spots are all right next to the ramp. Ramp isn’t far from the door. Sushi bar only has stair access, but they give you a sushi menu.“

“SO happy to have the outstanding sushi place in my neighborhood now. We've only gotten takeout a few times thus far but have thoroughly enjoyed everything. The seafood salad I had last night was absolute perfection, and we've settled on the caterpillar roll being our collective fave.
I love that even the regular rolls feel special though and if course that it's all fresh as can be. Can't wait to go back and hope to get to be a regular for a long time.

After visiting several other Sushi local places that recently opened up in Metairie I really appreciate it going back to Uchi sushi. If you do, you will likely be told they are out of rice, fish, water, etc. I waited tables through college and I get that people who come in 10 minutes before a restaurant closes are the worst, but the staff here shuts down seating earlier than anywhere I've ever known. If they truly don't want to conduct business after a certain time, then they should close an hour earlier or simply clearly post a house policy stating no seating past a certain time rather than lie to repeat patrons.“

“Alright Hina Hut!! We ordered sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken. The sweet and sour sauce is awesome! There have been some positive changes since we last ordered from Hina Hut! Chicken was great! They are boiling seafood now. Crawfish, sausage and corn were seasoned well! We had a pick up order and then bought some of the boiled stuff too!“
