Very helpful and I left feeling a little better than when I got there. . It was late at night so I’m sure management will know who I’m talking about if I got his name wrong. But great service I received the other night! However, I would like to mention that his coworker. I never caught her name. She wore glasses and was brown skinned. But I can’t help but scratch my head at this lady. She was incredibly rude towards everyone. Yes, the customers and even her coworker. She was being rude toward the guy and he didn’t even do anything to this chick. She was just carrying herself as if she demanded bro to obey her attitude. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone like that loses her job for the way she treats her coworkers. It was pretty rough. It was almost as if she was intentionally trying to overwhelm her coworker with the way she went about everything.”

“This is probably the best Burger King in town. It has plenty of parking. And they have always been nice to me here. Rather a customer or delivery driver. Always friendly. And food is usually served in a very well timed manner. Quick bite for sure. Still has a playground which is quite rare for any fast food restaurants. Food seems fresh and ready every time. Atmosphere is a tad out dated. But it is what it is. Still very nostalgic. I eat here all the time and one of my preferred Doordash and UberEats pick up spots!”

The french fries were cooked to perfection and had a nice crisp to them! I enjoyed the lettuce being chopped, not shredded. The service was great, more than I expected. Much to my surprise the manager on duty brought our order to the table. The dining area was clean and ready for customers. I am not a fan of fast food but this establishment in Lake Charles LA takes fast food to a higher level. I recommend this establishment for a fast, enjoyable meal.

I finally got the chance to come back 7 years later and the sandwich only improved with time (how improving from perfection is possible, I have no idea, but they did it). The coffee is fantastic and the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. The owner is hands on here in the shop, consistently ensuring the highest quality he can provide.
I would move to Lake Charles for the sheer fact that this coffee shop exists. Out of every little secret breakfast/lunch nook I’ve enjoyed in the US, this is by far the best spot in quality, price, and just straight up talent in knowing how to create and blend the best flavors. Whenever I think I have a new favorite, I always compare it with Stellar Beans (don’t worry, y’all have never been dethroned as #1 for me). I love this place and will bring all of my guests here every time I pass through.”

The first bite took my right back to my grandmothers house when I was a little girl in California, sitting on the front porch eating her chicken sandwich and drinking iced tea. My husband never said a word, he just ate in onion bliss. The cookie was a delight, a sweet end to a lovely meal. We started with delicious appetizers-crab claws in butter, onion soup, and truffle fries with Parmesan cheese. Absolutely delicious. I was seriously craving crawfish tonight and begged my husband to get me some. Of course, by the time I got off work, almost everywhere was already closed. Marriage was hanging by a thread at that point.
When I stopped by your place, you had just closed too. But the owner was so incredibly nice that he reopened just to sell me some. And on top of that, he generously gave me an extra 10 lbs!
That level of kindness deserves an award. The crawfish were jumbo-sized, perfectly seasoned with authentic Cajun flavor, super clean, and not a trace of mud anywhere. Absolutely delicious.

“I have visited the pioneer club 4 times in the last year. Each visit was different but all were memorable. Valentine’s Day had a special menu, the steak I had was perfect. It was tricky to find a place that reliably could make tasty and mild dishes until we found Taj Mahal. We try to get dinner here once a week and it’s always fantastic- made just the way we order it heat wise, super tasty, very large portions and great service. Definitely worth stopping by and checking out! Check out the mild chicken korma if you want to venture into Indian food but are afraid of it being too spicy. Great place!!”

They converted the wedding area to a reception area in 20 minutes. A well oiled machine. Great time for all.”

“My wife and daughter and I went to Luna's yesterday, as my wife grew up in Lake Charles and said that Luna's was THE local hangout when she was growing up. With good reason, I found out. The restaurant was a delight. The food was amazing (I had a fantastic hamburger and a really good salad), and the atmosphere made me smile (all around us, throwback posters and paintings from 80s music and 90s movies). I usually don't like to sit at the bar because of all the gossip that usually goes on. Nope no such happening at this place. Norman , owner, was spot on with food details, wiping down plates etc. I actually was impressed with the smiles and laughs that went on yesterday. They all seemed eager to help each other out. The iced tea was so amazing. I could have bought a gallon to have at the house. Both our plates of food was seasoned well and the correct temperature. I cannot express anything negative. Tried the Sesame chicken and liked that as well but in all honesty, I always go for the pork egg fu, my husband and I usually get a large wonton soup, egg rolls and an order of egg fu and it’s more than enough for the both of us for dinner. I know I need to try some other menu items but I love the egg fu so much I just can’t bring myself to order anything else. We haven’t had egg fu yung this good since 2007 when we moved to a Europe.We only discovered this restaurant this year but we sure are glad we did and now it’s pretty much our go to for Chinese every few weeks, sometimes more often!”

“My wife and I went to Popeyes on Lake Street at about 5:15 p.m., they had no customers in the lobby and 3 employees hanging around the front counter. We were not recognized at all! We waited for about 45 seconds and eye contact was finally made and still not greeted. One of the girls finally asked if they could take our order, I started to tell her that I wanted to order a 16 piece family meal and she literally walked away and didn't say a word! We immediately left and decided to go try Golden Chick. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a polite young lady and a young man named Jacob. We found out that it was the young ladies first day and Jacob was training her, he explained everything on the menu to us that we asked about all while training her. I can't say enough about this young man. And his attention to the customers, we were very pleased with our experience in the food was fantastic. Definitely will be back and never going to Popeyes on lake street again..”
