“Going on vacation to Louisiana and I am obsessed with Mexican food back home but had been previously disappointed by some restaraunts around, but this place had it all while also being a nice quiet environment you could enjoy, sweet servers and great food, only reason food is a 4 star is because I personally think the salsa tastes too sweet at the start and others at my table agreed but it was still very tasty.”

“Mama’s Kitchen was recommended to us by Dominique at the Whitney Plantation when we asked where we could find authentic southern food. My partner ordered the gumbo and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn. I had the fried chicken and fries. My partner summed it up perfectly as we were heading back to NOLA: “It didn’t feel like a restaurant. The service was warm, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food… absolutely impeccable. Where do they find these people? Pleasant workers are hard to come by these days! It was so good the first time, we found ourselves back there the very next day! The catfish was fried to golden perfection — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The Philly cheesesteak was seasoned just right and packed with flavor, and the shrimp were large, juicy, and downright delicious. To wash it all down, do yourself a favor and try their hibiscus tea and lemonade mix — the perfect refreshing balance of sweet and tangy. Overall, Sam’s Southern Eatery earns a solid 10/10 from us. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Southern comfort food done right!”

“Parking: 4 spots for smoothie king customers only and other spots if needed . The staff is unremarkable and so sweet and kind to all customers that enter the store . This is the only smoothie king I will go to because they clean and makes your smoothie the right way . I love the little cute notes they put on your cup . Love everyone from the workers to the owners ❤️ St. John parish is blessed to have an awesome place like this in our parish .”

“I didn't go in the restaurant only the truck stop but if the restaurant is a thing like I seen and experienced then it would be fabulous. First truck stop that I didn't feel taken advantage of. 2 all beef hot dogs that are bigger then the bun and a 44 Oz soda just over 5 bucks you can't beat that other place be like 7 to 8 unless they have a special.
