The location is absolutely beautiful, the staff is amazing, the food was excellent, and the list goes on! Everyone who attended our wedding spoke so highly of the staff, the location, the food, and the overall experience. We are so beyond grateful we chose Abita to celebrate such a special day! One of the things people love to do at a coffee shop is relax, but many are smaller and have indoor seating only amidst a swarm of blenders and espresso machines. Book and Bean is a much quieter and personal affair where you can sit in a shared area outside. So even when the heat index is in the triple digits.

Awesome coffee and food selection and great place to unwind.

“Was just going for a ride when I passed this place up. Inside has a cozy yet modern feel to it. Almost like having breakfast or lunch at mom's. Place was very organized, and everyone was so friendly to me that I felt like part of the family. Oscar and his mom Carol are amazing. Now to the food! This is definitely what we need in Mandeville. “Went Halloween decor shopping today at Home Goods and had to stop in next door for a Crème Brûlée tea from UR teas. We walked up to the door and it was locked. The owner came and opened the door and said he was still there brewing so we could come in even though he just closed. He was super friendly and talked tea with us while making our drinks. If you’re ever out by this little gem you gotta stop in and give their Crème Brûlée tea a try. It’s my fav!“

“My oldest daughter was having a baby at Saint Tammany Parish Hospital and we needed some good food and drink! We found a PJ’s coffee beside the lobby on the first floor and it did not disappoint! It Offered a variety of foods including pastries, quiche, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and parfaits plus a full lineup of hot and cold specialty drinks. There were also a lot of vending machines and an ATM. Several quaint eating spots are available plus free parking outside the hospital is a plus. PJ’s is a nice pick me up and hang out spot in the hospital with Generous hours, too! Be sure to visit.

I recently had to pick up a large coffee and food order for an early morning meeting - at other coffee shops usually something goes wrong and isn't on time, is forgotten etc.... however this group had everything not only ready to go, but thoughtfully organized for transport and to make unpacking and finding everything easier. Great customer service and excellence in delivery are rare things these days - and this PJs has it in spades. Thank you Dove Park PJs team!!!“

Also consider, the coffee makes an excellent gift especially for out of state friends who aren’t so lucky as we are to have this availability.

“Had to make a quick stop here during a long road trip, and this place is a gem! I had the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, and my wife had the bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit. Both were delicious. We also tried the beignets just for fun, and we were very impressed, although given the amount of sugar, who is eating more than one of these?!! 😄

“After a horrible experience at the PJ’s Coffee in Slidell, the marketing manager provided me with a gift card to give them another chance. However, I went to this location and the service and coffee were great! I’m going to stick with the Covington location.“
