“Oysters and pita/crab dip were delicious! Service was a little rough. My husband got his oysters before I got my meal- he had that and his drink finished before I received my food. We tried to be patient because they were somewhat busy, but watched our server take off her apron and leave before ever coming back to our table after drop off. We had 2 other waiters and what looked like management walk by several times, and even though I tried to get their attention, never looked our way or stopped. Finally made eye contact with a gal working closer to the front who came over and was very sweet, apologizing as our waitress had just quit. She brought out my food that'd been sitting there for quite a while, so the muffalettas weren't great, coleslaw warm. She never came back or reassigned someone to us, no one checked on us for drink refills, etc. Had to flag her down to place another food and drink order, again because no one else was helping us. After that, zero service, no one stopped at our table to check on us, and nothing 'taken care of' for the mishap. We came at a time where we were able to see the end of one band and start of a new- both fantastic, so that was good. Would recommend based on food and music, maybe not so much service.“

We love a good “dive bar” with character and history, and this one’s got it! The service was IMPECCABLE *chefs kiss*. Our day shift bartender (I’m sorry I forgot your name!) was a great historian and she recommended some other great establishments to check out, both in Algiers and back across the river too. Algiers itself is a beautiful, peaceful, clean place, and the folks who live there and can stop by the Old Point after work are lucky!!“

From start to finish, the experience was top-tier. Manager Mia is a class act — professional, warm, and went above and beyond to make sure our group felt taken care of. Tee the bartender made me feel right at home, and Roc the owner personally came out to introduce himself and thank us for our business. That kind of hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. The food was phenomenal — my classmates couldn’t stop raving about it. The hookah was smooth, the drinks were on point, and the entire vibe made us feel like we were home away from home. They run a tight, professional ship with a welcoming atmosphere. We missed karaoke night (it’s on Sundays and we came on Saturday), but that just gives me a reason to come back — and I absolutely will. “I bought this cup for my sister while she was visiting for Mardi Gras. When she went to wash it out this happened. I spent $20 on this cup. She didn't use bleach or anything that would make it do this. Service was Great and the Lady was there by herself.“

Ordered our food, wife got a chicken sandwich 🥪 with fries 🍟 and I got a breast and wing with fries 🍟. After a short time our food was served. Wife got what she ordered and I got a drumstick 🍗 and a back, completely opposite of what I ordered. Upon going back to the register the manager asked what was wrong and I explained what was wrong and said immediately corrected the problem. Kudos to the manager. The young man that took out order was wearing dark sunglasses 😎 while he took out order and afterwards he took them off. Food was hot 🥵 and tasty.“

Also they actually sell my favorite alcohol for $6 Don Julio Tequila, and that's the cheapest around! It's $8 $9 most places so I really like that. I had a nice time last time in here. “Visited here during my first trip to New Orleans in October 2024. This is my kind of joint - a gothic dive bar that books great music! It reminded me a lot of Smalls Bar in Hamtramck.

We were actually going to a show at Allways Lounge across the street, but it turns out, one of my girlfriend's favorite bands (Wingtips) just HAPPENED to be doing a show here by crazy coincidence! So we were able to stick around long enough to see them play before we went back across the street for an exotic cabaret performance.

I'm DEFINITELY gonna keep an eye on the shows booked here next time we're in town. And next time, I've gotta try some of the Slavic Soul Food they apparently serve here!

“The place wasn't very busy when I went there on a Thursday night, but it's always nice to chat with Perry. The server Olivia was attentive and sweet, but then I've never met one of Perry's bartenders that I didn't like. Drink prices are very reasonable and I'll definitely go back.“
