“Our first trip there. The food was delicious. I had fried catfish with fried rice. It was cooked perfectly. My sister had fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. Again cooked to perfection. Whitney was our server. She was so attentive. We wanted oysters, but they were out until later today. The have fresh shucked oyster's. We definitely will get them next trip. The owner Miss Sara came an talked to us about our experience. They all made us feel like we were important to them. Some places make you feel like a bother. Not here. The price for the amount of food was incredible too. Can't wait till next time. Thank y'all so much.“

“We went when it first opened and the owner was there and came around and talked to us and was very nice and friendly. My 4 star rating is because I don't put salt on my food for decades and our order seemed salty to me but it may be because I don't use salt anymore.“

“I just loved this place good atmosphere, friendly service, the food was amazing. I'm from Lafayette me and my friend drove out our way to Hammond to check this place out and it was no disappointments. We had to best waiter Mrs. Amber, thanks for your on point service we were lucky to have you as our waiter. It is a must we will be returning. Anyone passing by Hammond check out Stuffed! Potatoes & Poboys you won't be disappointed.“

“PICKY EATER ALERT! so we ordered the shrimp/snow crab bag( came with corn, potato, sausage, boiled egg) and ordered it with sauces mixed. (Cajun, garlic butter,lemon pepper) OMG SOOOOOOOO GOOD. well seasoned, hot and prepared exactly the way I ordered. Hubby got the shrimp/fish basket, came with fries. crispy fries seasoned. fish and shrimp flavorful, hot and a good quantity. Clean restaurant ✔ friendly employees ✔ great food ✔ = returning customers!“

“My favorite is their thin fried catfish. It is to die for and without a doubt the best I've ever had. The fish is moist and flaky, the seasoning is light and not overpowering and is cooked to perfection. I've been going there since I was 16 yo and I'm 70 now and live away and my only regret is I'm not close enough to visit but I still crave it. They also have the best tartar sauce ever and with their strawberry daiquiris make a perfect meal“

“We are forever customers! Not only is the food amazing and the staff top notch, East of Italy goes out of their way to accommodate guest. We wanted to book a party and they went above and beyond to make it happen. Our son’s celebration was everything and more. We haven’t had a meal we didn’t like. “I was living behind there in 2007 for a couple months remodeling those mobile homes and painting at Elmers chocolate factory. I gained 50 pounds eating breakfast lunch and supper there. Everything there is amazing. I even saw navy pilot from Pensacola there. I would move to Hammond just to eat there regularly. Now I take my family there when ever we're near.“

“This place is currently called Railway Cafe, and it's got a very cozy, rather nostalgic vibe to it. The servers are very polite, and the food is worth the price. I ordered the fish po'boy, and it was quite possibly the best po'boy I ever had!“

“We really enjoy eating here. Casual atmosphere, the dining area is really nice. Service was impeccable! The food was excellent. My significant other had the cowboy steak, and I had their southwest egg rolls. They cooked his to perfection he says, it was medium, medium just as he requested. Mine were so good, I can’t wait to go back! There is a bar area that you can also eat in. Nicely decorated in the dining area.“
