“We started with the Ponchatoula Strawberry salad which was a very tasty combination of flavors. For our entrees, my husband had the scalibut and I had the herb crusted drum fish. Both entrees were excellent. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse bombe which was to die for. Service was excellent and courses were timed well. Overall we had a great dining experience and highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Truly one of the best and most unique dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. A wonderful tribute to Senegalese and Creole food. The staff was absolutely incredible — so friendly and knowledgeable. Explained Senegalese transitions and even started the meal with a table side hand wash. They weren’t stuffy either, which can be common at restaurants at this caliber. They really made our experience top notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. All locally sourced and in season ingredients. Will absolutely tell anyone visiting to go to Dakar.“

“If you are a breakfast person, you NEED to check this place out. Right as you come in your greeted by their wonderful display of baked goods. The host and wait staff are amicable and courteous. The restaurant itself is very well lit with ambient light from the ceiling to floor windows and nice Edison bulb lighting.The food is excellent, every plate coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I highly recommend the crab cheese appetizer and the salmon Benedict. And of course, can’t go wrong with the homemade biscuits. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.“

“The drinks and food servers were attentive and couldn't be more accommodating. The food was excellent, and the portions were perfect. The Hurricaine cocktails were also perfect. Lovely atmosphere, and although it did cost a little extra, it was worth every penny. Highly recommend a visit.“

“This is one of the best lunch cafes I have ever been to! I am a vegetarian and sandwich options are always so limited anywhere else. So many options I had a hard time deciding. Even if you’re not vegetarian you should check this place out!!“

“We went yesterday and the wait was 2 hours. Got there a little earlier today and we got in. I’ve eaten at the Uptown location and was so happy they opened up another one that’s closer. It was my daughter’s first time and she said the food is so good and understands why there is a wait.“

“What’s left of my not crab cake and RA pasta…the BEST vegan and GF food I’ve ever had!!!! I thought for sure I would be sick…no way my allergy food could be this tasty and comparable to “real food” nope!!!! Not sick at all! I felt like I was eating “bad” food. “Amazing Event Cakes — We had a formal event this weekend for which Bywater provided our cakes. The chocolate peanut butter was to die for. The other cake was not what we ordered but we loved it just the same. If you need a cake for any occasion, we highly recommend Bywater Bakery.“

“The first time I visited, the case was empty. Sold out. So I came back and it was worth the visit. I purchased 4 different items so I could taste test. The London fog twist with pistachio and the potato/cheese croissant are amazing. The cinnamon roll wonderful.Vegetarian options: Plenty of meat free choices and vegan cookies.Wheelchair accessibility: Nothing in New Orleans is “accessible” because there are no curb cuts or automatic doors.“

“Oh my God... Read reviews on yelp and wanted to go to this restaurant... It did not disappoint. As a matter fact we've gone to several pizza places in New Orleans, and this is by far THE BEST! It was a Wednesday night so things were pretty chill. We had an awesome waitress, DD, who really made everything super comfortable and easy for us. Give us a different tasting of wine so we ordered a bottle and then a pizza... It was just a great evening highly recommend Theo s pizza! We will definitely be back! But sincere thank you to DD for making the experience. Wonderful.!“

“I’ve never reviewed my greatest restaurant ever but I will start now. In October my wife and I went to Emeril in New Orleans. Not an easy reservation but worth the time, effort and long trip from our home in Hawaii. Our experience was great. . We knew that there were plans to shut down Emeril for a total redesign from top to bottom. We waited for the exact date to try to get a reservation and luckily secured one. We had absolutely no idea what to expect. The experience we had proved that the “new Emeril “ is the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. I will not describe each dish since it would take up too many words but know that each dish was outstanding. Now I will explain why Emeril is #1 in the eyes of both my wife and myself. Online you will see that there are two Tasting Menus, no a La carte so we were at least prepared for what we were going to eat. We were not prepared for the following total mind bending and culinary experience. When entering Emeril you are greeted with a true Aloha greeting. We sat at the gorgeous bar since we were early and had a Vieux Care our new go to cocktail. The mixologist continued with the Aloha Spirit and made an exceptional Vieux. The bar area was awesome. In a very short time we were greeted by a hostess who escorted us to the brand new dining room. It totally blew our minds. Twenty or less tables with a huge space between them. You almost feel that you are the only guests there. The table we sat at had a large banquette that just added a new dimension to comfort. Large gorgeous pillows supported our backs. Almost directly in front of us was a huge glass enclosed kitchen. This was pure culinary theatre. Almost immediately a chef came to our table and asked us if we would like to see the inside of the kitchen. We didn’t bat an eye and followed him into the most gorgeous well thought out kitchen we’ve ever seen. The chef gave us a brief description of the kitchen, introduced us to the staff and the entire team offered up a special hello. We both felt like the greatest VIP’s. He then showed us to a small table next to us that had two champagne flutes with what he said was a rhubarb juice. Also on a plate was a cube of some unbelievable jellied concoction to showcase the ingredients. Back to our table and the party began. The two tasting menus were explained, one Classic and the other Seasonal. Then the Amuse Bouches started arriving. We expected only one or two. Nope, two sets, one group of cold, the the other warm. Each one was as great as the seven small main dishes. The beauty of the entire experience was that we both left feeling sated, never full. The service was impeccable. Never hovering but always there and totally knowledgeable about every dish and that includes ingredients. The sommelier was the antithesis of what many sommelier’s are. Being Wine Educators and Consultants we really appreciated his knowledge and communication skills as well as his passion towards wine. We had a dedicated service team who I would love to take with us to other great but not perfect restaurants. Jason Burse, the Assistant General Manager made the whole experience into a perfect culinary tour de force. This is why we both feel that Emeril is the Best Restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. Although expensive, it did not break the bank. Can’t wait to return next October.“

“Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit.My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff.No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.“

“Great drinks, happy hour, atmosphere. The loaded fries and pimento cheese are outstanding. Staff were always friendly and helpful. While they do have a frozen daiquiri option, if you are looking for a great cocktail in the French Quarter that does not come out of a slushy machine into a plastic fishbowl, add tw+tw to your itinerary. We've been twice in 3 days.“

“The food is soooooo good. The best brunch menu in Nola. Tried most things and it always slaps. Service is great.-1 for no reservations and long waits. I have no idea why they don’t give both the overworked hosts and customers a break by having a more streamlined res/waitlist system. Attempting Bearcat on the weekend is a competitive sport.Is it a reverse psychology thing? Like knowing you probably won’t get in so you want it even more? Having waited in the sun for an hour so the mimosas are extra refreshing? Lmk!“

“My first time here. I got an iced pistachio latte with oatmilk and my husband got a frozen mocha latte with oatmilk. We live on the northshore and had to go to the southshore for something and instead of stopping at Starbucks, we wanted to try something new! Definitely recommend. “Exceptional dining experience! We were seated at a lovely window table overlooking the charming courtyard. The menu features inventive and amazingly executed dishes in addition to great craft cocktails and an extensive wine list. Special mention goes to Griffin and Peter, both of whom guided us through the menu, made knowledgeable recommendations and provided exceptional service. The garlic flan, lamb and red snapper dishes were excellent. The stellar reputation of this restaurant is well deserved. We look forward to returning next time we visit New Orleans.“

“Everything about this place is Amazing. You don't have to dress up if you don't want to that's #1. The service is quick, very responsive and our server knew what he was talking about when askeed about menu recommendations. My boyfriend picked a winner with this restaurant for my 3rd birthday celebratory dinner and we left full, satisfied and happy. If you're going here for your birthday they do a sparkler, slice of cake and a song. I had the escargot which tasted so good, the redfish was the fish of the day and it was moist, flavorful and melt in your mouth delicious. We also had the chargrilled oysters with cheese and they did not dissapoint and the crawfish beignets were a big size and cooked to perfection with a nice little crush balanced with the flakiness. This is definately a must try spot! Parking close is a little hard to find so I would leave earlier to plan for that and I would recommend making a reservation. Luckily my boyfriend did and they had a table all ready for us as soon as we walked in and they wished me happy birthday as soon as they saw the note on the reservation.“

“We stumbled upon this establishment on our way to tour while on vacation. What a happy accident! We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided. Everything we had was wonderful, not to mention the service was good and the views were lovely. So happy we stopped!“

“We wanted to try something new for dessert and found this place while driving down Severn. After reading over the menu option — there is a wide variety of sweet & savory items — we settled on a dark chocolate milk shake and crème brûlée crepe with strawberries. Absolutely amazing! We did not expect it to be as delicious as it was and now we can’t wait to come back for another sweet crepe. Definitely recommend giving this a try if you haven’t already.“

Forget the fart (& whatever else) that freely flowed out of you in the early AM. No need to remember the muscle you pathetically pulled failing to reach the snooze button shortly after. Nothing before Satsuma matters. (And nothing after.) Married? Now you're single. A parent? There was never a child. Employed? Step directly to the cash register to completely omit any & all responsibilities. Who needs a paycheck, family or a life when the cuisine & vibes are this spectacular? Without Satsuma you are nothing. Make something of yourself - nay - make something EXTRAORDINARY of yourself & come support a cafe that will revolutionize the very core of your DNA. “We went to this place after seeing a tik tok about their Italian ice slushies. They’re right down the street from the fairgrounds. The atmosphere wasn’t entirely welcoming to us and parking was tough like every other good place in New Orleans but I’d go again when in the mood for delicious Italian ice slushies. Yummy!!“

“Great food for a reasonable price. The staff is very kind and helpful. We only tried the pizza which was really well made. We enjoyed the crispy thin crust. They have a variety of toppings for pizzas and are willing for personal modifications. They also have a "build your own" pizza option. Would highly recommend!“

“Food establishments are required to have a customer bathroom. At SUBWAY across the street people behind the counter would not give me the key after looking at each other for a few minutes they said it was out of order. Bought my food at this AMAZING cafe and paid roughly the same amount . The food was sooooo good, the service was AWESOME, the vibe was nice and we enjoyed it! SUBWAY'S loss was our gain!“

“I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“

I regularly get the Tuscan bagel and it’s so delicious.Couldn’t recommend laurel street bakery enough!They will take little things you like (such as a bit extra toasted or just egg whites) and implement them without the slightest sign of annoyance like I’ve experienced in some other spots.If you haven’t been here def come try them out!“

“BRICK OVEN PIZZA! I know it says wood fired, but when I searched for “brick oven pizza” in NO, nothing popped up. Absolutely AMAZING seafood pizza. Cannot recommend enough. Would have bought another but had no viable way of getting it back to Dallas. As you can see I ate 1/2 of it before realizing I should take a pic to post. Our waitress Stacy? was very accommodating (as well the chef) as my wife has crazy food allergies and she was able to eat all of her without breaking out. Definitely returning next time I’m in NOLA.“

“I dont know how I made it through my first 18 months of Keto not knowing about this place. I went with my daughter (who isn't keto) to pick up a few goodies for me to try. she asked me to get her cookies while there, and I warned her "it is keto" (she always complains about my "keto food") but she wanted it anyway. She got cinnamon cookies and I got key lime cookies plus a strawberry pie and olive bread. Everything was so good! I've tried baking my own keto baked goods for the lady year and a half and crumbly or too soft baked goods is my biggest complaint. The texture and taste of everything I got was so good! To both of us. I will definitely be back.“

“This place has good food with lots of vegan/ vegetarian and gluten free options. It is very much a pick up food spot since it is in the market area. The market does have seating nearby, if not there are park benches around the market as well, but I took it for pick up to a bar that does not serve food. I had the vegan crab cake po’boy which was good, so I can only imagine that the traditional crab cake po’boy is amazing as well! I would most definitely come back to try that out or any of the other delicious looking options. They had a variety of food options with a lot of traditional New Orleans fares as well like red beans, okra gumbo and beignets. So I would say this is a great place to try some true NOLA foods. Also, true to the NOLA spirit, they also sell alcohol! Yay! Parking around this area is rough, so if you must park, I would recommend the parking lot a few blocks away.Vegetarian options: Just about all options had a vegan/vegetarian counter.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, vegan/ vegetarian options“

“My family and I love, love, love to eat here. Feels like family! Our server is always nice and helpful, and always get our orders correct. The serving portions are excellent. Pricing is a bit high, but it's made up for by service, cleanliness, and the amount of food. Plus, the bathrooms are always available.“

“I have followed this food truck around the city for years! When they opened the initial brick & mortar I was thrilled! Initially I was a little disappointed but since they reopened I can tell you this is what I was waiting for. I ordered take out last night. The tacos and avocado fries were perfect. Everything I knew and loved about the taceaux truck! The packaging was perfect and I loved that they offered me sides in separate containers to doctor my condiments. The hours are great! It’s hard to find food open after 9 pm uptown! My food was ready before the estimated pick up time and I had an amazing margarita (it was perfectly balanced!) with a very friendly and helpful staff! She let me know they do happy hour every day they are open 3-6, all day on Tuesdays and great drink specials for brunch hours on Sunday. I can’t wait to go back!“

“Friendly, great environment and food was fabulous. We had brunch, with delicious mimosas made from freshly squeezed orange juice. “I eat here regularly, food is delicious, I usually get the stir fries, but the curries and noodle dishes are delicious, as an American that doesn't know anything about Thailand but eats at lots of Thai restaraunts in the US, this is one of the better ones I've been to. Maybe 99% of the time food is delicious for the past 2 years ive been coming here. Once in a blue moon I get something that is not quite as good as I'm used to.“
