“Great snowballs and vanilla dip cones“
“I will admit I slept on this place. I passed by for years and ignored it. Saw the lines but kept passing it by. Stopped one Saturday and got a Strawberry Daiquiri and Wine Cooler snowball. I was hooked. The other snoball place I went to on the Westbank didnt have as soft a texture of ice as Snow World. The flavors at one place can be found at most other places BUT the texture of the ice isn't universal. I would definitely pass by again.....well.....I did last Saturday. Definitely have me as a customer when on the Westbank.“

“The food was Sonic, i would say it was actually a little above Sonic average but the only reason I'm commenting is because damn my car hop was hot! I don't want to be disrespectful but my goodness... sometimes you just have to call it like you see it and trust me, you can't miss it! Lolol. It was all around for experience. Even without the gorgeous young lady who Im assuming is in her early 20s.... it was still an above average Sonic experience!“

“What the heck, had no idea this place existed. It’s phenomenal! The Summer Nights gelato was too good! Even as I entered the shop and the Italian music was playing ? it literally makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Do yourself a favor and go.“

“Soooo good. I ordered an item with a warm brownie, hot fudge, a scoop of ice cream of choice, whipped cream, sprinkles, and cherry on top. So yummy. I would recommend and will be a repeat customer. It is a little confusing to get inside of the business. You have to enter in a main entrance of a building that looks like a real estate office and then walk left to enter the creamery. Clean place. Restrooms are available at the end of the hall of the main building. Handicapped parking and ramp. I didn't see a button for wheelchair door.“

“Service was outstanding! I appreciated the time spent helping me narrow down my macaron choices. T he almond brittle ice cream was delicious & so were my macaron ice cream sandwiches. Bonus points for the ice cream sandwiches that didn’t melt while eating despite the heat. It allowed me to savor the moment. I would recommend & will be retuning.“

“In the heart of New Orleans' throbbing Central City, a gem is hidden in plain sight: Red Rooster Snowballs. This place started small, a modest pit stop dubbed "Little Red Rooster" back in the firecracker summer of '77. Under the watchful eyes of "Ms. Lynn," it's morphed from just another seasonal joint into a full-blown, year-round sanctuary of flavor, standing defiant against the monotony of the typical New Orleans tourist traps. This isn't just about snowballs. Sure, they sling them with the best—try the banana snow cone drenched in condensed milk. It's like mainlining banana cream pie straight into your taste buds, minus the unnecessary fluff of crust. But this place is a microcosm of the city itself. The menu reads like a roll call of every New Orleans staple: po' boys stuffed to the gills, seafood that practically swims onto your plate, pralines so sweet they’ll make your teeth sing, and sandwiches that do the Muffuletta tradition proud.Ordering here is a breeze—no fuss, no muss, just pure efficiency with a side of Southern charm. There’s a window for shouting your desires into and another where those desires come to life, handed over in styrofoam and paper, steaming hot or blissfully cold. And if you can grab the lone picnic table out front, do it. It's the best seat in the house for soaking up the local color, watching the life of the neighborhood unfold as you dig in.Red Rooster is more than a mere eatery; it's a testament to New Orleans' spirit. It's where the locals go to escape the predictable and dive headfirst into the real, unvarnished culture of this city. Here, amidst the clatter and clamor of Central City, you're not just feeding on good food; you're absorbing history, community, and the kind of authenticity that can’t be fabricated. This place is a slice of life, a slice of New Orleans, and damn, does it taste good.“

“The ice cream always draws me IN, do you hear me?
This is hands down my favorite spot in the Quarter to grab a sweet treat and satisfy my sweet tooth. Thankfully it’s only a few blocks away from my home so I go frequently. Sitting outside while stuffing my face w| ice cream is usually my fave as I can savor in all the sounds of the Quarter.
10/10 recommend!“

“Great snowball and ice cream stand in Marrero, just a little past Estelle Elementary school on the left-hand side on Barataria Boulevard. This establishment has been open for a very long time, so I assume they are doing a thing or two right. They usually have loads of people throughout the day and evening.“

“This is by far the best Snowball stand in the world. Just saying! The ice , the flavors are amazing. But I had a bad experience. I always order a medium sized snowball in a large cup. All of you experienced snowball experts understand my reasoning for doing this. So that I can drive without the drizzle of syrup running down my shirt. Well, I asked for the large cup and the cashier didn’t acknowledge that she did hear what I asked. So I repeated it. She then responded quite rudely. Saying that she did hear what I asked. Well of course when my number was called to get my treat it was in a medium cup. I asked about the large cup and was told that it wasn’t on the receipt. I was then told that they could not transfer my treat because of the condense milk. With all this trouble … I can’t wait to get off of work to go back..?“

“My experience at Popbar in the heart of New Orleans was a delightful foray into the world of artisanal frozen treats. This quaint establishment offers an array of popsicles with a twist – you can choose from sorbet, yogurt, or gelato bases and then personalize them with various chocolate coatings and a plethora of toppings.I decided to try the strawberry sorbetto popsicle, aiming for a refreshing and fruity treat. To add a dash of indulgence, I coated it in dark mint chocolate and topped it off with graham cookies. The strawberry sorbetto was a standout, offering a burst of fresh, tangy strawberry flavor that was both refreshing and satisfying. It was a perfect antidote to the New Orleans heat. However, the dark mint chocolate didn't quite hit the mark. While its texture was rich and complemented the sorbetto well, it lacked the minty punch I was anticipating. This was a minor disappointment in an otherwise delightful treat. The addition of graham cookies was a masterstroke, providing a crunchy contrast to the smooth sorbetto and chocolate. This mix-and-match approach to building your popsicle is what makes Popbar a unique and engaging experience.Aside from their signature popsicles, Popbar also offers other menu items, but the customizable popsicles are undoubtedly the main attraction. The ambiance of the place is cheerful and inviting, contributing to a pleasant dessert experience. In conclusion, Popbar offers a novel and enjoyable take on frozen desserts. Their concept of customizable popsicles, where you can mix and match flavors and toppings, is both fun and inventive. Even though the dark mint chocolate could use a little more mint flavor, the overall experience was delightful. Popbar is a must-try spot in New Orleans for anyone looking for a refreshing and creative dessert option.“

“These are wonderful! I am so glad I saw them at the Algiers bonfire. The ladies were great with their recommendations and all the toppings. I'm a little concerned that the store is so close, on the Westbank. It looks like there are a lot more options to try. This is going to be a problem :)“
“OmG!! By far the best snowball place in the parish!!! Check it out and tell me if I'm wrong because I guarantee I'm not!! They have a bunch of other stuff as well! The flavored pickles are awesome as well! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!“

“The staff at this location were nothing short of amazing! Everyone were incredibly kind and helpful despite having a long line. Luckily they worked quickly and were incredibly professional and patient. After receiving my frozen lemonade I witnessed a woman yelling at the kind employee and being incredibly disrespectful which resulted in the customers husband pulling her away. It was just terrible the customer actions were deplorable and I feel embarrassed for her husband and children that were with her but the staff, two young boys and the manager an energetic a sweet black lady name Tasha I believe handled it very professionally and were still kind to all of the following customers. I give them a 10/10 for their customer service and their frozen lemonade! 6/17/2023“

“Yogurt was good and service was excellent. The toppings didn't taste fantastic but the yogurt itself was alright. However, the machines in the store are very loud. Combined with the music that plays, it sounds like a mall food court.
I'll certainly go back in the future but I'll probably opt to sit outside.“
