12 Best Wine Bars in Cambridge

“This is the first review I've ever written (seriously!), and to be honest I'm writing it as I sit here with a friend of mine looking at the website, talking about miscellaneous stuff (like me not having ever written a review), and I was telling her about when my partner and I went to Zuzu's Petals a couple of years ago (my friend will be in Cambridge soon and I was giving her a recommendation).

We love this place! We're not regulars as we only go to Boston occasionally to see my partner's sister and family, but whenever we're in town we try to go at least one night. It's so refreshing to have a space with no phones, at least for a little while, YA KNOW?!? Of course I'm writing this on a screen, so the irony is not lost on me, but a break from screens? I'll take it.

Last time we were there the record player (vinyl, of course!) was playing Bowie, Stones among others - again, refreshing to hear full albums - and I think we had a cheese plate and few glasses of wine and of course dessert. It's always been a nice time for us and we highly recommend! And thus dear reader we reach the conclusion of my post: my friend and I both agree, since I'm sharing this restaurant suggestion with her, why not share it with the world?!?!? (Like I said, it's my first time and this was fun to write...)“

“I had not been in almost a year and I forgot how amazing Giulia is. The Service was outstanding. the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was perfect. Oysters/Corn Pasta/Foccacia/.......just perfect right down to the panacotta! Thank you very much TEAM GIULIA!“

“Such a cute place and the staff are so knowledgeable. I don’t know much about wine but with a simple conversation about what I like they are always able to help me find something I love that’s also new and exciting.

The food is also delicious. Simple but well balanced and the salads are out of this world. The cod and whatever bean dish they are serving at the time are my other go-tos.“

“You changed the garlic bread! Once a revelation, now it' s ordinary. Bring back better garlic bread, please. Also, the ice cream really wasn't up to standards, because it was grainy. However the risotto, the pastas, the caesar salad - all were outstanding. Our server was excellent. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinners and look forward to going back soon.“

They give you the check in a Copy of the Constitution! Recommend but why are you not accessible! Such a contradiction of your stated philosophy. Should at least put it on your website with your apology“

“We had the bolognese and the haddock and ordered a side of roasted carrots. All the food was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Not too busy, we didn't wait long at all. Cocktail was very different— a bitter sweet rhubarb flavored martini— great!“

“We had our wedding at Batifol, with ceremony next door at the bakery. It was literally the most amazing experience. The Batifol team was extremely responsive, organized, and executed everything perfectly. The food was amazing - all of our guests said their Salmon and steak were cooked perfectly! And they allowed dietary changes for guests with all different kinds of restrictions (vegan, gluten free allergies). 100% recommend any day of the week. I also love their brunch and dinner menus. And If you want to have an intimate event, their event coordinators are out of this world!!! Thank you all for making out day so perfect!“
