“What a find! I found this a bit off the beaten path. But SOOO worth it! The 'Everything' sauce 9n the Fish and Chips was amazing! Almost seemed like they were using the pickled banana peppers as the base. Tie that with cilantro and a few other items and you have a real winner here.The sauce on the Shrimp had a similar flare to it, but tomato based (or just mixed in).So think about this a minute. You have a sauce with some pickle flavor. You add salt to your liking (I added a lot) and you have a very interesting flavor for the fries! Genius!The Chicken Dinner was an outside the box way for me to go surf and turf. The seasoning had explosive flavor. Just wonderful!I can't wait to go back for the Salmon!“

“This was my first time eating at shaking crab. Tbh the food was absolutely AMAZING! For one person the boils come in a bag. For two people it comes in a tin. Either way it was amazing. We got the Cajun regular and it had a little spice but nothing over powering. Service was great! I accidentally dropped my cup because my hands were slippery and the staff was super chill about it. This is definitely not a fine dining place. You truly do eat with your hands and get hella messy. They provide gloves and a bib. The ONLY thing I did not like is the apps came out the same time as the food. Next time apps will be placed before the food. But other than that. ZERO complaints.“

“What can I say? Avenue N is definitely one of the best in the state for farm to table comfort food and cocktails. However they really outdid themselves with, what I would call, the new “it” dinner option- the birrio burger. Every bite has flavor & every bite melts in your mouth. I hope this becomes a weekly special due to its uniqueness. My “pear-suasion” drink complimented it perfectly. As always the staff there is top notch. “The food and drinks were top notch, however, the lamb shank was still frozen in in part of it. Not sure how that could happen, but they were very apologetic and rectified the issue. The waitress took our drinks off the bill, which was almost the entire price of the lamb shank. We would definitely return as the experience was wonderful!“

First off, let me tell you about Jeff, our server. This guy is a rockstar, plain and simple. Not only was he super sharp on all the food and wine, but he was also just incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly. We had our 3-year-old son with us, and Jeff handled it all like a pro – making sure our little guy was happy and comfortable, which meant we could actually relax and enjoy the special occasion. He really went above and beyond to make the night special for all of us.
Then there's Danielle, the dining room manager. Seriously, she's incredible. You could just tell she was running the show flawlessly, making sure everyone was having a fantastic time. She even stopped by our table to chat and wish my wife a happy birthday, and you could feel how much she genuinely cares about her guests. It's clear she sets the tone for the whole place, and it just radiates excellence.
And the food? Oh my goodness. Every single dish was spot on. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious, and the birthday dessert was the ideal sweet ending. The whole atmosphere felt elegant but still totally comfortable, which was great for a family celebration.
If you're looking for an unforgettable meal in Providence, especially for a special event, you absolutely have to go to The Capital Grille. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and attentive service set the stage for a memorable evening. It was a very special birthday for me from when we arrived till we left 3 hours later and was absolutely my favorite dining experience ever! The highlight, of course, was the steak—perfectly cooked to order, with a beautiful sear on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness inside and so much flavor. The selection of cuts was impressive, and the quality of the meat was top-tier. Accompanying the steak, the sides were just as outstanding— my absolute favorite is the creamed spinach, was so good and I would get it again and again… The wine and cocktail list was well-curated, offering great pairings to enhance the meal. We had the best bubbly to start and cheers to my birthday, we had a delicious red wine to go with the steak,and a sweet dessert wine to end the meal. And for dessert, we had the chocolate molten cake, carrot cake, cheesecake and others so amazingly yummy and was the perfect sweet ending. “I was excited to hear that Hometown Poke opened up a café in the Mount Hope area. The owners are extremely friendly and hardworking, and so I was happy to see their dreams unfolding. Additionally, I really enjoy the fact that Hometown Poke sources their ingredients and products locally whenever possible from New England vendors, meaning when you support them you are supporting our community. The café is very spacious, with a combination of large and small tables to accommodate all guests sizes. The decorations are trendy, minimalist, and overall a great space for dining or enjoying a cup of coffee. When you’re ready to order, you can choose from one of their signature bowls or build your own. I decided to build my own poke bowl with mixed greens, chicken, and all the fixings that I liked. Truly a wonderful and delicious experience! And just an FYI, their protein portions are large compared to most poke places! I decided to try their South Toast which had ricotta, sea salt, thick cut bacon and local honey. It was delicious! I need to try the others next time i visit. I also got a matcha latte which was nice and warm for a cold fall afternoon. Overall I really enjoyed my time at Hometown Poke and will definitely be back to try more!“

He insisted that it would be worth the drive from Rochester, MA (my location) to Cranston, raving, “It’s the BEST!” and promising me that I won’t be disappointed. “It's a true Domenican Style restaurant. Cafeteria style. Absolutely fantastic food here. I eat here at least three times a month if you don't speak Spanish don't worry, they speak enough English lol..if you live or work near here, go eat here; your stomach will love you for it!

“My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. It was very obvious and blatant disrespect to me. My husband even commented on feeling uncomfortable. As a former bartender the general rule is to pay more attention to the wife than the husband out of respect but also because most often the wife is writing the tip. We will for sure be going back but will sit at a table and maybe only order sparkling water.“
