“This little restaurant, raw bar, bar bar is not messing around. They handle their shellfish perfectly, cold, crazy fresh, and masterfully shucked. I recommend just a dash of the mignonette to just highlight the delicious flavors of the posters. The bartender told me the raw scallops have never left the menu so I ordered them. I can see why they're almost a signature of GH. The bok choy pancake is really good but strangely filling. Plenty for 2.

The cocktails are well mixed.

A must have with their sauce (i ask for it on the side along with an extra one) i always come here when i dont feel like cooking or have leftover rice from the day before and dont wanna make any meat to go with it . She has been my server previously and she's certainly an asset to the team! We shared the pear salad and the Marriott burger and everything was delicious! Highly recommended!“

However they really outdid themselves with, what I would call, the new “it” dinner option- the birrio burger. Every bite has flavor & every bite melts in your mouth. I hope this becomes a weekly special due to its uniqueness. My “pear-suasion” drink complimented it perfectly. As always the staff there is top notch. We were there on Christmas… things were a little chaotic, but the food was outstanding especially the dim sum and the walnut creamy shrimp. Definitely worth the drive from wherever you are. After a wonderful meal, my husband paid the bill & we were getting ready to leave when the manager came to our table to ask what was wrong & if we were unhappy w/our server.....'No he was fantastic' we said. Oh! he said, because we didn't leave a tip he thought the waiter had messed up.... suffice it to say.... husband had THOUGHT he left the tip when he paid. Apparently he didn't!!! Talk about being embarrassed!! We gave Jake a little extra in his tip. So, next time you're at Davenports, East Prov. ask for Jake... he's awesome & goes beyond his waitstaff duties.“

“My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. It was very obvious and blatant disrespect to me. My husband even commented on feeling uncomfortable. As a former bartender the general rule is to pay more attention to the wife than the husband out of respect but also because most often the wife is writing the tip. We will for sure be going back but will sit at a table and maybe only order sparkling water.“

Our hosts were warm and friendly and apologized for not being able to serve us at a table inside due the pandemic. I honestly can’t wait for life to return to normal so I can return to this gem of a restaurant for the whole experience (including Sangria). Black Goose was very accommodating. I had steak tips, which were tasty and cooked perfectly. My hubby had French onion soup and buffalo chicken wings. The food was warm and delicious.
