“Valentine’s Day was my first time ever visiting the restaurant, it was very busy and me and my boyfriend were actually late for our reservation and the hostess took amazing care of us and we didn’t have to wait long to be seated even though we were late. When we sat down our waiter was Ken and let me just tell you Ken is amazing. He made my entire experience at the restaurant amazing, and he made sure our food was cooked to our liking. He was knowledgeable of the entire menu, and he recommended some really good things for us, and I am not only loved the food I loved the atmosphere, and the entire experience was amazing! “Officially one of my new favorite restaurants in providence! When you walk in, there's dim lighting which I particularly enjoyed especially because it made the providence sign stand out. Our waitress was kind and very attentive from the minute we were seated. Now the food was divine, everything was perfect. We ordered the calamari and each ordered the short rib with gnocchi. Every ingredient in that dish complimented each other so well, it was such a lovely culinary experience. My friend also ordered the "only fans" drink which she enjoyed. Will definitely return and can't wait to introduce more family and friends to this restaurant.“

My biggest complaint was the strange seating. We had a party of six, they had a bench seat for 3 of us and chairs for the other 3. The strange part was the table for 2 set right on top of us. 1 person on the bench, 1 in a chair. Just felt very crowded. Overall a very pleasant dinner.“

Every time we walk in, a manager is there to greet us and gets us to a couple seats either by the bar or at the adjacent tables. I eyed the flight of margaritas offered on the drink menu long and hard, but discretion won the day. First was the fish slider appetizer, which was generous and tasty. Next, I had the Chicken Scarpielle: chicken and sausage with asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes and a cream sauce. The sausage was sliced thin as communion wafers, so 'boo' to that, but the dish was good overall. “I am a little bit of a harsh critic when it comes to my meat. I ordered the tomahawk and I wouldn't say it was bad by any means, but it was just okay. It tasted like any other cut of meat. It was not as tender as I would have wanted it to be and there was more fat than usual. However, I ordered the banana bread dessert which was phenomenal and I would go back just for that and the drinks. The ambience was great and our waiter was extremely nice. He brought out samples of all the various sauces they had available with our steaks which I loved. It was my friend's birthday and the staff wrote her a birthday card. I thought was super thoughtful and went above and beyond what most restaurants would do. Overall I would recommend this place, I may have just caught them on an off night for steaks.“

The first time I walked into the Chieftain, my very professional bartender Kenzie made me feel like I had been here a hundred times before. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable, she filled me in on the history of the restaurant. She made me feel comfortable from the get-go. It's almost St Paddy's day, so I got the Corned beef and Cabbage. Spectacular is all I can say. This was the first time I've been here, and certainly not the last. I can't wait to go back.“

When my dinner was delivered I realized I had accidentally ordered the wrong item through the Grubhub app. I called the restaurant to ask if I could bring back the wrong item for the correct item. Not only did they tell me to keep the incorrect item, but to stay home and they would deliver an entire complimentary meal of the correct item as a courtesy. It was pretty distracting this visit. Love the house salad! Excellent dressing. Entrees this visit were Chicken Parmesan which is always tender and delicious served with perfectly cooked linguini, and a new item, Bacon and Cheddar Meatloaf. The meatloaf is smothered with what I would call French onion soup gravy, and served over mashed potatoes. Delicious, and nice presentation, but we both felt the somewhat thin slice of meatloaf itself was lacking in texture and bite. It was almost mushy. I can't say I really noticed the cheddar and bacon. We ordered a slice of Tiramisu to go and ate it later at home. Light and flavorful!“

She was friendly and professional and never got rattled in spite of the fact she was waiting on multiple tables simultaneously. I observed that she was patient with all customers; answering questions and making recommendations, all with a high degree of efficiency. The lobsters were delicious; a nice mid winter treat at a very good value. We ordered a side of fries and an excellent wedge salad to share. “I went here with my friends after climbing and literally hits the top 3 burritos I have ever had (I think the best tbh). The tortillas are handmade on site and seared which adds a nice crunchy texture. The cheese was so good because it had an amazing pull and bite like a cheese pizza.
