“My wife and I recently had an amazing dinner at Kingfish. The oysters and fluke & monkfish crudo were absolutely delicious. They were incredibly fresh and are definitely must haves. We tried a few cocktails and wine, all of which were unique and paired well with our food. We tried the lamb frites and pan con tomate with tuna carpaccio for our entrees, and they did not disappoint. Everything on the menu was well thought out and executed to perfection. The service and the atmosphere of the restaurant also could not be beat. This restaurant is a new favorite for us. We’ll definitely be stopping by the next time we’re visiting in the area.“

“I recommend everything about this place - phenomenal restaurant. Service was top notch. Oysters were perfect and lobster rolls were huge - they say 8 ounces of lobster - had to be closer to 1 lb. On a Friday, got there at 8:30 PM (after the dinner rush) and had no wait for a table. Pretty much a perfect dining experience.“

“Really good Lobster Bisque soap purchased from a local supermarket here in NE PA. Backstory. I attended Endicott College back in the day and remembered sitting on rocks in Rockport with bunch of friends, enjoying the fresh, local seafood. 🍤 I recently noticed this brand while shopping and although pricey, I decided to try it for lunch today. The boil bag was easy peasy, enough for two bowls and like I mentioned to poster below, I purchased some RANA lobster ravioli that were void of any indication of lobster, although it was listed as second ingredient on packaging. I combined the two. What a delight with great flavor, thick broth and satisfying product. It’s what I purchased when your New England establishment is a distance away. It’s next best thing! 😋🦞“

“Just came from Palmer River Grille, it's very nice inside and the food was excellent. My wife had a small issue with her meal (no need for details), the managers took care of it no problem, which they don't have to do, so I want to take this opportunity to thank them. Our waiter Derek was awesome! Just want to acknowledge everyone there, the wait staff etc. are very friendly, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and their food. “Gift Horse has been on our list for a while every time we visit Providence, and I am so glad we finally made it in. It was so good.

We came after dinner for some light bites and drinks, but honestly, I wish we had come here for a full dinner instead. The monkfish toast was fantastic, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and the martini was exactly what I wanted. 🍸

“We discovered this small family restaurant a couple of years ago and it has become one of our favorites! The sea scallops are the best we’ve had anywhere ( so sweet and cooked to perfection). We’ve tried many of the menu options and have never been disappointed.“

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!“

“Nice location. The restaurant is very clean, bright, great views. The food was average, portions are on the smaller side. I got the baked stuffed shrimp, it came with only four med size shrimp, very little stuffing, a small sweet potato and undercooked green beans. I usually cannot finish my meal, and I left hungry. I would give it another chance if in the area, but wouldn’t go out of my way.“

“Dan and I both grew up in Bangkok, and when we were teenagers, our respective families would take us to French restaurants. One of the dishes we both remember vividly was steak au poivre—perfectly cooked steak with that incredible creamy, brandy-peppercorn sauce. It was absolutely fantastic.

Ever since, we’ve been on a relentless quest to find steak au poivre that tastes the way we remember it.

We’ve tried it in Quebec. We’ve tried it all over New England and New York. We even tried it in France. Some have been good, some very good—but that traditional French flavor, especially that sauce, has always been just a little off.

Until last night. After decades of searching, we finally found it.

The steak. The whole peppercorns. The cream. The brandy. That rich, unmistakable sauce we’ve been chasing since Bangkok.

One bite and we looked at each other: THIS is it.

And where did we finally find the steak au poivre we’ve been searching for all these years?

The Capital Grille.

And it wasn’t just the steak. The creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin and creamed corn were all fabulous—and the bread was to die for. It was one of those meals where absolutely everything on the table was delicious.

“So I randomly found about this place and had to go as my nickname is Iggi. We live in CT so the drive about 90 minutes and it was worth it!! This place is actual perfection. The food is incredible, the vibe is awesome, the service is the best and I even love the hoodie I bought there. Must try’s are the Lobster Bomb, Loaded Mash Potato flatbread, beer flight and the chowder flight looked amazing, I’ll try that next time. Everyone was so cool, all the servers, even the manager. “We ventured into Providence to Providence for a quiet dinner on a Sunday evening. I'm so glad we chose Ten Prime Seafood. The hostess was charming, the waitstaff was professional, and the food was delicious. We started with the Chicken Nuggets & Caviar, crispy and delicious. The Lobster Tortelloni in pink vodka sauce deserves its own fan club. The sauce is rich without being heavy--creamy, bright, and so flavorful! The swordfish entrée was just as impressive. It was beautifully seasoned and grilled to that ideal point where it's still juicy and tender. We finished off the evening with perfect pairing of Creme Brulé and an Affogato. Ten Prime Seafood is a wonderful addition to the Providence restaurant scene!“

“I can only speak for the clam cakes which I found to be very good. They were a little small so they gave me extra. I have gone twice recently and both times they were out of stuffies. This is just after noon both times so you wouldn't expect that. The wait for the clam cakes was rather long too considering it takes five minutes to fry them. I will give them another try though.“
