“There's one guy that works there that you can tell he just doesn't care about his job. I had an ice coffee with the sugar melted and I also had a refill cup. He charged me for a large ice coffee, it was almost a dollar more. And he was just very careless making my order. My coffee was AWFUL!!! The rest of the staff however is much better.“

“MOTW has the best chai in the city. I love the soft, creamy, silky texture of their Yemeni chai. I love the way they decorated the 38th st location, very inclusive and powerful pictures. Great spot to get some work or reading done. Also love their prayer or meditation area. It’s such a wonderful coffee shop. Usually Raadia is there when we go and she’s such a kind and friendly soul, always so helpful and customer focused.“

“Finally got to the Melody Maker this morning, and I’m so mad that it took me this long! Zach (spelling?) was welcoming and cheerful. I ordered two bagel sandwiches, an iced chai and a black iced coffee. Everything was made fresh and reasonably fast! The vibe is amazing, with lots of local art and crafts for sale. My bagel sandwich (the mozzarella Vespa) was EXCELLENT and my chai was delicious. We will be returning soon!“

Authentic Italian Sue had the Tutto with mortadella, suppressants, Capitola, prosciutto stracciatella cheese, tomatoes, onions, pickles, hot cherry peppers and garden greens on delicious seeded bread. I had the LaGemma piadina with roast beef, tomatoes. Charred onions and herbed cheese. Both are excellent, Pictured is about a quarter of the sandwich. “We visited this great location during a “road trip” from Florida. We were greeted by Travis who was very welcoming and took the time to answer my questions about a couple of items on their menu without making me feel rushed. Since we couldn’t decide, we tried many items including their Oatmeal (the best we’ve had during our travels), Quiche (excellent), Avocado Toast (superior flavor), Summer Toast (great mixture of flavors with great blueberries), Chai Tea (just right), Peach Lemonade (very refreshing) and great coffee. Bolton Bean will be our “must go” place when in the area in the future.“

Let me say I had not met the couple that owns the shop before today, and yet I have never felt so invested in wanting to see a new shop succeed as much as I did this one! The owners are a lovely young couple, extremely friendly, and accommodating. They love what they do and it shows in the quality of the food. I ordered the Pi (egg sandwich) and a cold brew coffee. Both were excellent. They roast their own coffee beans and it had just the right amount of roasted coffee flavor. There were a dozen other things I wanted to try, including the creme brulee cheescake, the baklava cheese cake, and the Greek pies. My wife got a hot coffee with almond milk, mocha and peppermint. I like my coffee creamy, and this was the first coffee with almond milk that tasted good to me. I have found my new favorite coffee shop in the area. Whatever you're doing, drop it and visit Coffee & Pi now!“

“What an oasis. We stopped by today and could not believe what a hidden gem we found. Wonderful selection of coffee, baked goods, grilled sandwiches... everything we had tasted fresh, a tomato soup was absolutely fabulous as well as 2 different types of muffins we had. My favorite is cinnamon. ? They offer coffee, T-shirts, hoodies and mugs too. Music is so calming and lovely that you feel like being somewhere at the beach. And the staff were so good!! My favorite drink is the iced chai latte, and I order it with an oat milk substitute. When I’m in the mood for an energy drink, I usually pick a random rush from the secret menu. There are so many options and so far, they’re all good. The most recent one I’ve tried is the Peppa Pig one, which has hints of strawberry, amaretto, watermelon and coconut. I recommend that one, as well as the Malibu Barbie, Ninja Turtle, or 50 Shades.The staff that work here are amazing and very friendly as well as knowledgeable with the menu.PSA - the whipped cream has no reason being that good!!!“

I went through the drive thru and I had to wait a little longer, but she came to the window and let me know that the Bold coffee was just finishing brewing (anyone who complains about a little wait for fresh coffee is someone I will never understand, lol). The staff there were patient and went out of their way to clarify about the milk/creamer choice when I forgot to be specific as I stumbled through the other portions of my order. It might seem like a small deal but anyone who has patience with me and pays close attention to other factors to make sure I don’t get sick, I just wanted to make sure to highlight the staff has to ensuring their customers are well taken care of.
