“I moved out of Boston 20 years ago, however, one thing a true Bostonian from Roxbury can never forget is The Silver Slipper. A staple in the Dudley area when it comes to breakfast, The Silver Slipper is one of the few restaurants who still make everything homemade.
As I was visiting my father, he advised he was ordering from The Silver Slipper and I had to get my order in. As I had a full day ahead of me, I didn’t want anything too heavy. I opted for a protein based meal and ordered the Spicy Beef Sausage with Wheat Toast.
Calling the order in was simple and straightforward. The young lady who answered was pleasant and efficient. She took our order, repeated it back to us and closed out with the time expectation and a see you soon.
Upon arriving, the restaurant wasn’t crowded so it was easy in and easy out. The order was accurate and ready as advised. We confirmed everything was present, grabbed a few condiments, paid, and was out the door.
As you will see by the pictures, this is REAL SAUSAGE. All these years later and The Silver Slipper is still holding it down.
The sausage was fresh and super spicy just like I like it. The burn on the sausage was perfect and made the bites even more flavorful and textured. The toast was perfectly toasted and non-buttered which was perfect as the sausage had its own grease. As soon as the sausage hit the bread, it nestled into the toasty goodness and they became exactly what I needed to get the day started.
Shout out to The Silver Slipper for their tenure and quality of food. We the People of the Boston Foodie World Appreciate You!!“

“I expected more than corned beef out of a can from the description on the menu. The home fries were cold. Good sized portions and the service was adequate. We chose another breakfast place for the next day. Great location, though, in a walkable neighborhood .“

“Mike & Patty’s is a staple in Boston. Everyone is so welcoming and the food is to die for. Don’t try to be healthy and make sure you order the Bfast Grilled Crack with a big cup of coffee. Eat at the counter (only two seats) or take your sandwich outside and stroll the village.“

“Ate here on vacation twice and the family loved it. Breakfast was great- I had the breakfast sandwich and the kids had pancakes. Lunch had many unexpected items. I had the musaka, which I had no idea what it was, but it was amazing. The guys working the counter bantered and were a ton of fun.“
“If you are looking for an old fashioned friendly neighborhood restaurant with generous breakfast plates and real coffee, Mary Ann's in West Roxbury is the place.
Parking: A few spots in back. Street parking usually available.
Wheelchair accessibility: Street level. Wide door.“

“Our requests:
1- Shakshouka: Shakshouka, Turkish/Arabic style, is delicious, the ingredients are fresh, and the potatoes on the side are amazing. I give it 7/10
2- Florentine Benedict: The eggs were excellent, but the sauce mixed with pitto did not feel suitable with eggs and spinach, but it was delicious in general. I give it 6/10
3- Bagel: Plain bagel is good. It is the best type, like the one I tried in New York, but it is acceptable.. I give it 6/10.
Service:
Very excellent, their treatment was nice and nice, and they were very fast even though the place was almost full. The coffee is prepared for you as soon as you finish your cup
Prices:
I consider it expensive for a restaurant of the same category.
Overall experience 7/10 ??“

“Haven't had the chance to eat the bagels yet but did get a chance to talk to the owners. They are in the people business, they just happen to sell bagels. Big Fan, if you're in the boston area check these guys out.“
“When I lived in Dorchester, I could hardly believe how old this is. Build 84 years before this became a country outstanding! There are a lot of historical buildings in Boston, they are a must-see when you visit. Just try to street clear of the Mass ave nonsense.“

“This place fixed my jet lag... First time in Boston, first place I went, ordered the Capitol Breakfast. Pancakes are the best, sausage and eggs delicious too, and great coffee.
Small business with friendly staff, lots of regular customers, great place to just sit and relax. Felt like I'd been coming here for years.“

“In August I took my mobility-challenged Dad to iHop for lunch. He used to go to this location frequently when starting his career, especially on the night shift, and has fond memories. We went at midday to avoid crowds. As we were crossing the flat parking lot (yay, thank you!) with me pushing his wheelchair, a car beeped and an iHop employee got out of her car to hold the door. She then left, but had stopped at the end of her shift to to help. Another employee inside immediately came and held another door. The staff was so kind and helped find a good comfortable spot. The food was delicious - and the coffee as good as always. It was the first time we didn't get breakfast food. My Dad loved the BLT and especially the onion rings. He got the senior sandwich which was perfect size and a good price for seniors. I had the chicken biscuit sandwich. I reluctantly saved a piece to bring home to my mom because I knew she'd love it so I wanted her to try. The service was impeccable. They were attentive but let us linger. My Dad enjoyed himself without feeling like he was holding anyone up. He doesn't like to go out a lot, due to mobility and memory challenges, but he had such a good time. Next time I'm home we will be back. Thank you for a great experience!“

“First, I would like to say that, The One Family Dinner, is my FAVORITE breakfast shop to eat at. Their service is amazing and the food is prepared with care and love. The atmosphere reminds me of being in my grandmother’s kitchen. Lastly, there’s two waitresses who have the BEST customer service ever. My favorite waitress is, Taylor. She’s very, very, nice and she provides wonderful service. Next is, Mrs. Mary. She always smiles and makes my coffee just how I like it. Thank you!“
“This was so much better than last year. The food & drink choices were interesting & tasty. This year's musical entertainment was outstanding! The move to ordering & paying by QR Code made life so much easier. We didn't have to try getting the attention of the servers. They cleared away dirty items (which they did not do last year). I did notice servers standing around talking with each other while we were waiting to be served. But one server jumped right on it after I mentioned it. So everything was better. Can't wait to return. Ok - I returned the next night. Different band so a different vibe. This was even better. The service was better. You've really improved the customer experience so thank you. If I lived anywhere near Boston I would be a regular customer. Great job. I look forward to being in attendance next year.“

“My sister, nice, and I wandered around Bostons wharf area for a quick breakfast and stumbled into Sunny Girl on the corner of Fleet and Atlantic. Would've missed it due to scaffolding but had cafe tables outside. Food wad Amazing!!! BLT was stacked mountain high and the English Muffin was The Best ever!“
