“We had an incredible experience at Grill 23 & Bar — easily the best steakhouse we’ve been to in Boston. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal. We ordered both the filet mignon and the ribeye, and each steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly outstanding. The sides were just as memorable — the macaroni and cheese was rich and comforting, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. Adding the Béarnaise sauce on the side was absolutely worth it and paired beautifully with the steaks. Dessert was the perfect ending: warm chocolate chip cookies served with vanilla ice cream — simple, classic, and done flawlessly. A huge highlight of the evening was our waiter, Bernardo. We will absolutely be requesting him on future visits. He offered thoughtful suggestions, anticipated our needs effortlessly, and somehow managed to be there exactly when we needed him — and never when we didn’t, if that makes sense. I ordered the wagyu steak and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The Brussels sprouts were spot on as well, with that ideal balance of crisp edges and tender centers.
A special shoutout to our waiter, Clev. He was one of the best waiters I’ve had in a long time—attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely made the whole experience better. He took great care of us from start to finish.

“We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and my retirement, and wanted to do it up right! We picked the right place for it. Coming in from Cape Cod, for a concert at Fenway we had reservations for Abe and Louie’s, but there were 2 at the bar so they let us sit there instead of our table. Our bartenders were great. To our surprise, Bree almost immediately said “Happy Anniversary!” And our drink order was taken. Michelle made a spicy margarita with a nice kick and a heavy glass, and a soda. Then we ordered shrimp cocktail which were brought out in mere moments. The shrimp were huge and cold and crunchy- perfect! We took our time and were not rushed to order our meal, but once we did, with Kendal, she asked all the right questions, offered to split our salad in the kitchen, and made some great recommendations. I wanted my Filet with their wedge salad as my entree and was told no problem. Our meal, my huge filet and my man’s ribeye were both cooked as requested and his suggested garlic whipped potatoes were creamy and yummy! The food was all out of this world, but what made the dining a true experience was the tango these three women danced around each other, each knowing what the other was doing and exactly what their patrons wanted. You can get a great filet many places but I pay for the service and we both felt like we were treated like royalty. Thank you Bree, Kendal and Michelle for making our anniversary and my retirement a true celebration!!“

“Can’t say enough good things about our experience at Capri! We came in to celebrate our friend finishing her cancer treatments, and they made an already incredibly special night even more unforgettable.

The restaurant was busy, but we never felt rushed for even a second. Everyone was so warm and genuinely engaged with our table, and they even surprised us with champagne to celebrate our friend, which meant so much to all of us.

Randy was our server and he was absolutely exceptional. He was fun, attentive, so personable, and somehow made the whole night feel really personal and special. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had an amazing experience.

“Last night was my second time at Post 1917 in Lexington. Outstanding meal top to bottom. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the mushroom and sweet corn sides were amazing and the tater tots (I'd rename them mashed potater tots) are ridiculous. The service was fantastic and the reception my wife and I got from Lori was as warm and welcoming as the first time I was there with a different group. We have great steak house choices in Massachusetts and this one is among the top. Well done to everyone there.“

Luis, our server, was exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming throughout the entire meal. He made sure to learn our names and guided us through the menu and answered all questions we had very thoughtfully. His recommendations were excellent, his pacing was impeccable, and he struck the perfect balance between being present and allowing us to simply enjoy the experience.

The food and service were unparalleled. We had the bread service, caesar salad, oysters, the olive snow wagyu NY strip, wagyu filet, and the potato flattie. Every dish was beautifully executed, and both cuts of wagyu were absolutely outstanding. The quality of the ingredients, preparation, and presentation were apparent in everything that made its way to the table. We also appreciated how multiple servers checked in with us throughout, asking us how our food was, etc.

Everything was excellent and the attention to detail was genuinely impressive. From the food to the atmosphere to the service, everything in coalescence made the evening feel truly special. The Zebra Room delivered exactly the kind of memorable dining experience you hope for when going somewhere of this caliber. Luis, in particular, made an already exceptional meal even better. “Can never go wrong at yard house near Milton first off its the only place open to offer food after 9pm which makes them already the best, some people especially with the colloege close need a later place, not only are they the only restaurant that cares about the later crowd you can never go wrong with their food...the pretzel is always a smash, the tuna nachos 10 out lf 10, burgers a hit, pizza delicious you really cant pick wrong if you pick the right type of food...the service is always on point, they only got 4 out of 5 bc their bartenders are not on the same.page the same drink tatse different from bartender to bartender and shots took 12 min...other then that the atmosphere is fun with good muisc“

“Popped by yesterday after walking by this place for 40 years. Saw a handmade sign advertising a meatball sub for $10. ok,,ill try it. It was homemade and actually pretty good BUT in my 60 years of eating meatball subs, this is the first one that was just meatball and bread..(with a sprinkle of parm out of a Kraft container)..no sauce or cheese (although i can do without that) some sauce would have made it!“

“We were interested in something lite to eat before the concert and sat at the bar. They have a fun bar menu with good choices. We had the surf and turf skewer ( filet mignon and lobster with a side of bernaise sauce), filet mignon sliders and the Shucked, Fried, Tossed and Stirred combo. That combo was great as was the martini that came with it. Nice to see a little imagination on the menu. Food was delicious. Loved the view of the harbor. My only request would be that the bartenders make a little more eye contact and acknowledge your waiting. I get it when they are busy but even after waiting until it settled down a bit, it was still hard to get their attention. This will be our go to before shows in the future.“
