“Pressed Café in Burlington was fantastic. The food was excellent — the smash burger salads were seriously amazing, fresh, and packed with flavor. What really stood out though was the service. Clarence, the manager, was awesome and made the whole experience even better. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly cares about customers. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had in the area. “Amazing gluten free cafe and bakery. We had the peach grilled cheese, pancakes, and a breakfast sandwich and all 3 were amazing. My fiancé was diagnosed with celiac 15 years ago and she said it’s the best pancake she’s had since she was diagnosed. We also got iced coffees, both were delicious. The sweets we brought home all look and taste amazing. Very allergen friendly.“

“Cafe Nero never disappoints. The food and their cafe stores always deliver amazing coffee, lattes and sandwiches. Love this store location with its huge large viewing windows. Also, it’s so nice to be served by actual baristas that know really how to make a good latte and cappuccino. So much more exquisite than Starbucks and Dunkin Doughnuts. Just make sure to get in early and find a seat because it does get very busy and popular with the locals.“

“The person serving us on a line was impressively adept and efficient, while being quite friendly to everyone He turned out to be the manager. I was looking for dessert, but on the kiosk, under bakeries Nero wasn’t listed, in fact, hardly a thing was, so I planned to go without until I stumbled upon Nero on my way out. They bake fresh every day. It’s a very comfortable and relaxingenvironment and as noted above excellent service. He was serving an outrageous range of coffee, specialties, and the bakery goods looked carefully crafted. The chocolate cake was quite delicious and reasonably priced. “After living nearby for more than a year, I finally visited Bikeeny Caffe this week. The pastries were delightful! My favorites were the Italian cheese blend pastry and the honey pecan pastry in the photo I’ve included. The employees were cheerful and kind. I plan to return at least once every week!“

“This is the most unassuming restaurant I have ever been to. Once you're inside, you are family. It is almost like someone opened up their kitchen and living room, set up some tables and chairs, TV is blaring in the back, and someone cooks up some food for you. The hospitality cannot be beat. A beautiful café that feels so peaceful, considered and thoughtful in its every detail—the perfect place to sit with a friend, or take some time to just be alone and read a book. The co-owner Namwon has great energy. He was always really kind and welcoming to me and my boyfriend (we are from Australia, but Dado felt like a little slice of home). The most amazing display of humanity was displayed by a customer named Maria who i believe worked at the registry of deeds. She paid for a woman who was having language barrier issues meal. “It was just another day of Ivy League networking for this metropolitan girl. After inhaling more liquid than I could hold (I nearly leaked myself in front of a prospect!), i sprinted to tatte’s single person restroom. A smooth man came out just in time. As I put my hand out to open the door, he said “oh no, someone’s still in there”. I quivered and stomped my right foot for two minutes in confusion until a second man exited the same restroom (were they brothers? sure looked like it!). First I wondered what they were doing together in there. Then I said to myself “hey! don’t judge, some people need help in the bathroom.” He had a big smile on his face. So did I!“

“Tatte is an amazing bakery, always my first stop on my trips to Boston, offering savory and sweet offerings, combining the Israeli traditions with American tastes. Watch for example the use of za'atar or sesame seeds. If you can, get some of the nut cake which is remarkable. Their coffee is also third wave level“

“Love a good cafe tucked inside a local bookstore like this. But this one actually takes the cafe part seriously. I’ve been to a few literary coffee spots in the city (including Cafe Zing down the street), and this place has the best food and drink selection. Plus, the layout works better here. The café area is more clearly separated from the bookstore space, which made it feel noticeably calmer and more relaxed than most spots in the city.

Like most Cambridge spots, they use Iggy’s bread for their pastries and focaccia, so the baseline quality was guaranteed. Most sandwiches come with either pesto or chili crisp mayo, and honestly, both work really well with on the focaccia. I personally preferred the chili crisp mayo (Epilogue). Even with the strong umami from the salami and cheddar, the mayo still added an extra layer of richness without overpowering anything. Drink-wise, they use good-quality local coffee brews and teas, and everything I’ve tried so far has been good.

Even without the bookstore charm, this would be a top-tier cafe. And a major bonus is that on weekdays, they offer 45-minute parking validation for the Lesley lot out back.“
