12 Best Wine Bars in Cambridge

“This is the first review I've ever written (seriously!), and to be honest I'm writing it as I sit here with a friend of mine looking at the website, talking about miscellaneous stuff (like me not having ever written a review), and I was telling her about when my partner and I went to Zuzu's Petals a couple of years ago (my friend will be in Cambridge soon and I was giving her a recommendation).

We love this place! We're not regulars as we only go to Boston occasionally to see my partner's sister and family, but whenever we're in town we try to go at least one night. It's so refreshing to have a space with no phones, at least for a little while, YA KNOW?!? Of course I'm writing this on a screen, so the irony is not lost on me, but a break from screens? I'll take it.

Last time we were there the record player (vinyl, of course!) was playing Bowie, Stones among others - again, refreshing to hear full albums - and I think we had a cheese plate and few glasses of wine and of course dessert. It's always been a nice time for us and we highly recommend! And thus dear reader we reach the conclusion of my post: my friend and I both agree, since I'm sharing this restaurant suggestion with her, why not share it with the world?!?!? (Like I said, it's my first time and this was fun to write...)“

“We love Dear Annie! The wine selection is amazing, we’ve never had a bad bite or sip. Shoutout to the onion dip and potato chips that we get every time. We’ve even hosted a private event here (the dear Annie staff was amazing) - it was our favorite gathering to date“

“We loved everything about this restaurant. We had a great table in the window, our server was so knowledgeable and her recommendations were outstanding and the food, the food!! We had a mix of meals, seafood, pasta, special truffle course, and the chocolate cookies. Every single bit was delicious. We will definitely be back - if we can get a coveted table!“

“An excellent dinner. Purple carrots! Lemon potatoes! Tahini mushroom with an egg! Blue fish! Good service. Guy ran down The block to return my bracelet which had fallen off! They give you the check in a Copy of the Constitution! Recommend but why are you not accessible! Such a contradiction of your stated philosophy. Should at least put it on your website with your apology“

“We went there for our wedding anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make us feel special. My wife doesn't drink alcohol so they even made sure to bring some complimentary non-alcoholic beverage option when bringing drinks to celebrate. Our waiter was great and made sure to check up on us regularly.“

“The food is fantastic, and the service was fast and attentive. The pumpkin cappelletti is my favorite thing on the menu! The ricotta stuffed garlic bread was also amazing, great spot for a date or a nice dinner with friends. Our server Brian is a star 🌟 I am looking forward to dining here again soon.“

“We had our wedding at Batifol, with ceremony next door at the bakery. It was literally the most amazing experience. The Batifol team was extremely responsive, organized, and executed everything perfectly. The food was amazing - all of our guests said their Salmon and steak were cooked perfectly! And they allowed dietary changes for guests with all different kinds of restrictions (vegan, gluten free allergies). 100% recommend any day of the week. I also love their brunch and dinner menus. And If you want to have an intimate event, their event coordinators are out of this world!!! Thank you all for making out day so perfect!“
