“Tonight was the best dining experience we have had in two years! The drinks were awesome, the food was piping hot and came out on the hot plates, even the last bite was hot! My daughter’s plate from the kids menu even looked delicious, and she enjoyed every bite. Most impressive was the service- Yanina was terrific, she was so happy the entire time, we never needed anything during our entire visit, she was one step ahead of us every time! We will definitely be back!“

The only reason for removing a star is a small but frustrating detail: my wife ordered the French toast, which is pictured with strawberries and bananas. When it arrived, it was just the bread and syrup. We learned you have to pay extra for all the toppings shown in the photo. It felt a bit misleading, though I’m sure it would’ve tasted great with the full fixings.

At $9 it seems like a great deal, but once you add everything shown, it’s more like $13.25 — not quite the same value. Still, a tasty spot with a fun atmosphere. Maybe best to DIY it next time and bring your own strawberries, bananas, and Nutella!“

“We ate lunch at Himalaya Curry House for the first time this afternoon. We highly recommend. The food was phenomenal-excellent Northern Indian cuisine. (I don’t like Southern Indian cuisine. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are very generous and we both went home with enough left over for another entire meal. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, basmati rice spiced with Cumin. My daughter had the Black Pepper chicken, same rice and we shared a side of Aloo Gobi cauliflower florets in a spicy, creamy sauce. There was complimentary chutneys (3 different flavors served with pita crackers. My patient’s family is from Northern India and the mom cooks exquisite Indian food. Fed me home made dinner every work night. That is how I was introduced to spectacular Northern Indian food , so I have a good palate for high quality. The atmosphere is average. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful assisting us with our choices. We will definitely go back again to try different entrees. The menu is extensive!“

The service struck the right balance in terms of being there at the appropriate times. And the atmosphere and noise level was great even though the restaurant was full. “Two years ago I switched my allegiance from Haute Coffee in Concord, MA to Nibbana Cafe in Lowell. While the coffee at Haute is indeed very good (Counter Culture beans, not local), I find the staff there a bit impersonal. Seating is also quite limited. Nibbana has equally good coffee (if not better, which is really saying something), provided by Tiny Arms, a local roaster. There is plenty of seating and parking at their location at Western Avenue Studios. The coffee is generally light-to-medium roast and they offer an array of interesting, unusual coffee drinks (I only drink espresso, straight, so I can't comment on those). At the time of this review, they have been cranking out lots of new food items. The staff is extremely friendly, always offering a welcoming smile and an enthusiastic "Enjoy!" when I pick up my order. The owners truly live by what Buddhists call "right living". They are very community-focused, and it shows. If you haven't checked out Nibbana, you're really missing out on a special place.“

We had a Day-After brunch last month following our Class of 75 reunion the previous evening. I had reserved space for twenty, but only half of us were able to attend.The outdoor seating was perfect as was the weather. The service and food were excellent (I have been going about avocado toast all wrong...that was wonderful).

Anyway, my classmates and I enjoyed our time together there. I would not hesitate to go there again.

“My daughter in law’s lovely large Khmer family really wanted to go to this restaurant! We drove from Ny and the other family members flew in from CA and drove from CT. The food was fantastic and quite flavorful. We got a real smorgasbord of various dishes that we all enjoyed. My favorites were the Khmer chicken wings-outstanding crunch and flavor (I like them better than Buffalo wings), and my absolute favorite, lemongrass chicken. Every other dish was amazing, too. We certainly want to go back here!“
