“I ordered the fried red snapper with rice and it was so delicious! The red snapper was big and well done. Good flavor . Everything was GOOD GOOD! I want to come back to Boston just to eat here again. The people that works there, especially the men needs to be a little more friendly and smile. Welcome your customers with a nice , warm smile , stop stiffing up your face when they walk in it’s disgusting! We are not your enemies! We are your supporters! Without us there is NOOOOO BUSINESS , remember that. And be helpful when non Haitians people come into your business to support. When I walked in.. there was a dark skinned , tall skinny male there taking orders at the bar. When we made eye contact. He immediately squeezed up his face . I wanted to turn around but I was hungry and wanted to try something new.He never once smile . I hate that energy. You’re not there to look intimidating. You are there to make your customer feel warm. You want you customers to always return so give them that happy warm feeling and presentation.I’m a business owner as well and a lot of black owned businesses needs to apply this. SMILE! ?“
“It was our first time - we scored the big table in the back - very quiet and spacious for 5 of us! There were 5 different entree options and we each got a different one — everyone was raving: the eggplant, the duck, curry cakes, trout and the chicken. Dessert was fantastic: pistachio cardamom ice cream — absolutely delicious. We'll be back soon for the jackfruit sliders that were sold out! I had the Baobab mocktail — highly recommend. Thank you, we LOVED all of it, the hype is real. Can't wait to return soon!“
“Outstanding food. Quick friendly service. Our large group was served with a delightful meal. We were able to try most of the appetizers and enjoyed them all. We split several plates of the lamb shank, jerk chicken, and kofta. Amazing spicing.“
“Excellent all around. The salad was a bit more ordinary, but the kale salad was really nice with a mix of flavors and hearty greens. The jerk chicken was moist and tender, and nicely seasoned. The chipotle chicken might even be better! Small flavorful tender bits all around. The mac and cheese was a bit lacking - with there was more cheese flavor to go around. The beans and rice was delicious. The nicest might have been the plantains; they were really not too sugary, but had a nice sheen on the outside and cooked beautifully. So good!“
“We have ordered Work Hard Eat Good multiple times for catered work events and let me tell you, our employees don't get this excited for any other caterers! The jerk chicken and the mango salsa go SO well together, and the plantains are a lovely sweet treat too. The owners are down-to-earth and very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend trying them out!“
“From a half-Filipino missing a taste of home, thank goodness for this place! One of very few authentic Filipino restaurants in the greater Boston area. The food is delicious, portions are large, and the service could not have been friendlier. There’s something for everyone here! Definitely stop by if you’re in the neighborhood, and totally worth the drive if you’ve never had Filipino food before!“
“Owner is very polite, welcoming and attentive. Their food is delicious and reminds me of food back home in my country. I've been here multiple times and enjoy the food every time.Parking: Limited street parking spots but never had an issue finding a parking space here“
“It is carry out or delivery only. The food was so so good, fresh and so fragrant. Beef patty was probably best I’ve ever had. Curry chicken had a nice savory gravy. Jerk chicken was also amazing, overall one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Boston. 10/10 would definitely go again“
“I think that this restaurant is phenomenal. I went with a friend who had frequented the restaurant in the past. She raved about the food and how at night it shifts into a great dancing, music, eating venue. I found, the service to be very engaging, warm and friendly. The food was savory and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend Orchid 7 Fusion Bar & Grill.“
“I've been craving Caribbean food for weeks, and my visit to Boston served me well. This food was just what I needed. We ordered around 9PM, so the restaurant wasn't too busy and had limited options left, but we still got heaping portions that made the $20/order worth the money. The venue is small, so there's only a couple tables, but there's no doubt a lively atmosphere during the daytime. My partner and I had fried pork with rice and beans, with tostones and some side salad. They gave us salad dressing, pikliz (which was surprisingly sweet), and an unnamed sauce that was DELICIOUS. We had a decadent food coma after eating only half of the food before getting food. 10/10. If I lived in Somerville, I'd be a regular.“
“It was my first time dining at Orinoco and it was an excellent experience. The atmosphere is inviting and distinctive, felt inviting after a long day. I got an Empanada Verde and Orinoco Mojito to start, a mixed salad and Parrilla Caraqueña for my main, and Quesillo for dessert. I stray away from mojitos because of sweetness but I figured to give it a chance and I wasn’t disappointed. It had the right balance and one of my favorite mojitos I’ve ever had. The empanada had me wishing I ordered more. The main entree was excellent, hats off to the kitchen staff. The chicken, steak, chorizo, and yuca fries cooked to perfection. The flavor/seasonings were balanced, and didn’t beg of anything else (sauces, etc.). I usually don’t go for dessert but I’d say the quesillo would be a dessert to treat yourself to. Lastly, the service was incredible. Very warm, attentive, and informative, Philip and Daniel are what made the experience for me, and are the reason I will return. Highly recommend, you won’t regret giving Orinoco a try. I’m looking forward to trying out more of their menu.“
“Great small Trinidadian cuisine located in hyde park,MA. The atmosphere is so inviting from the outside and the inside. It is a small place, with a homey touch to it. There's limited outside seating in the summer but as you can imagine, during the cold season, nobody really likes to sit outside lol. I was first introduced to this place last year by one of my Trini co-workers and got in contact with the owner to place a catering order for a work event. We ordered buss up shut, curry chicken, and chana and aloo. Everything came out so delicious and full of flavor. The team enjoyed the food and asked for another catering event and so I placed an order for the same dishes and the owner Allan, worked with our budget. Allan is very friendly and accommodating. Everything was done on time and when I arrived to pick up the order, Allan and his teams helped bring everything to my car. The chana and aloo and the buss up shot are vegan friendly :) I recommend this place! (10/10)“
“came here for my birthday today from providence r.i. I was very disappointed the food was nasty no favor the workers was very rude. haven't been here in awhile brung other people with me telling them how good the food is they was discussed. we won't be back here no time soon very upset the nasty birthday plate i ever had. it went straight im the trash. if i would of known that the food was like this i would of went to a restaurant in providence were i live.Ali you need to get back in your restaurant and get that food right. sorry Ali but this was nasty.“
“We rented the back room club for a Quinceanera in March '24. Janice and the team helped us with the event and made everything fit our budget. They circulated plentiful and very tasty apps and small plates. We had an open bar for adults and open soft drinks for kids and the bill was reasonable. The decor was classy, newly refreshed gorgeous wall paper and so we didn't need to add much. Everyone had a great time. One late comer missed food service but they were easily accommodated on request. Highly recommended for events! The team ensured the music was queued so we were able to save on DJ.Vegetarian options: We asked for vegetarian empanadas to be made in addition to toastones and maduros.“
“Great experience at a event for a family. Chester, the owner, did from soup to nuts. Decorating was on point very festive but so tasteful, getting the DJ Larry who was awesome, and providing the meal. The staff was very engaging without being intrusive and pleasant. The food was so good and plentiful. No one left empty handed unless they wanted to. The only downside was the parking and everyone found parking even if it was a little walk to the venue. This place is a must for good vibes and great food.“
“I have been eating at Ali's Roti for years. This is the best and authentic West Indian food found outside of the Caribbean. I highly recommend Ali's Roti for an excellent healthy home cooked meal. The staff and food remind me of my favorite food stall in Oistins, Barbados. I am very thankful that Ali's Roti is in Boston. I wish the staff a very healthy and prosperous new year.“
“The food was so good! I wish I took a picture before I ate it all. I tried the jerk pork with rice with djon djon. When I called to ask about food/recommendations, Juan was amazing! He asked if I like spicy and told me about the jerk pork. It was perfect. And he was helpful and nice. I won't order from some places, sad to say, because some are so rude and not helpful when you call an order in. And the staff here was friendly and said hello when I got there to get my food. I'll definitely go there again when I'm in that area.“
“Their salmon, greens or cabbage, peas and rice are top notch. They give very healthy portionsParking: I recommend parking in the church youwon't be there that long. Do not park behind the building in that parking area or risk being towed.“
“Ok so we came from Chicago and looked for places to eat. I almost didn’t come because it was 3.9 stars. Whoever gave this place a bad review is all lies. Food was just like the name “Flame”, And baby that sauce she put on my rice and peas was smackin!! It’s meant to be an In and out spot so don’t expect luxury, However it is clean. Just go just go just go if you wanna eat good!!“
