“Visited for the first time after making a phone reservation more than a week ago - this place is very popular! Super friendly welcome, peaceful and calm atmosphere. We had two pasta mains that were very well made, al dente pasta, flavorful sauce. Very cozy on a chilly night. Service is perhaps a little slow but they want to make you feel comfortable and not rushed. Will definitely come back when we visit cape cod again!“

“Up visiting my folks on Cape Cod and we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast experience. Alexis our server had a bubbly and warm personality and made our breakfast most enjoyable. She took our orders with patience and made sure we had all we needed to satisfy our needs. Our breakfast arrived in no time my wife had the garden omelette I had the western omelette mom had the cheese omelette and dad had the 2 egg special and all were cooked to perfection. We had coffee refills without asking. I would give this breakfast experience 5 stars the food was excellent and Alexis is a major asset to this fine establishment.“

“This place is great! I visited in the fall and had a couple Cape Cod Mules and some buffalo shrimp and it was delicious. The bartender Beau was friendly and was doing tricks behind the bar the whole time. The vibe was beachy but local, the people at the bar were all friendly and talkative.
And to top it all off the beach is right across the road. The whole atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. As someone visiting during the off season the staff made me feel like a local.
Come here for a casual lunch and go for a walk on the beach afterwards.

“We had the rueben and some chicken wings. Both yummy. Great fries and not too many. Hot and crunchy. It was a rainy night and the AC was blowing on us. I'm guessing it's a good atmosphere for a warm summer day but for us cold, not helped by a table of heavily drinking golfers who were loud, and super crude. The hard surfaces amplified their noise. We should have sat with everyone else at the other end of the restaurant with everyone else. It was too late by the time we figured it out. Staff was awesome. Tara and Mike.“

Best onion rings I’ve ever had, they come out amazing and not dripping in grease. Loved it the first time to Cape Cod had to bring my mom and M.I.L the next trip 🥰🤩 highly recommend!!“

“Delicious, hearty chicken pot pie with a surprising little side of orange cranberry sauce that really set it off. The Reuben was a bit in the small side, though the corned beef tasted fantastic.

We were quickly seated, greeted warmly by multiple staff, and a kind waitress took care of us. Glad we stopped by on a whim!“

“Grumpys is a great breakfast spot that has plenty of seating, great food and a great atmosphere.
We have gone in with a group of 5 and a group of 9 and beer waited more than 15-20 minutes for a seat.
There is counter/bar seating, and a regular dining room with plenty of tables.
The food is great, the staff is very attentive and caring and you don’t want very long for any of it (food, seats, etc).
It’s located right on Route 6a and is an easy parking lot to get in and out of.
The parking lot is small, so it will take a minute to find a spot but worth the wait.
Kids are welcome and they have a kids menu and plenty of options.
Grumpys is a must stop!“

“We happened to be in Orleans and decided to grab an early dinner at The Barley Neck. We started with a dozen raw oysters and a bottle of French Chardonnay. The oysters were so fresh and delicious we ordered a second dozen. My husband had a lobster pasta dish for his entree and I had a Thai style tuna steak. Both were delicious, but a special thumbs up for the tuna. It was without a doubt the BEST tuna steak I’ve ever had! We finished with the pineapple upside down cake special! O.M.G. Everything was consistently amazing. The service was attentive and welcoming! From beginning to end the experience as a whole was on point! 10 out of 10!“

“8/6/21 Had breakfast here today. Got seated right away about 9-9:15am Waiter took order, BYO Breakfast sandwich with short stack, and 2 Scrambled eggs with sausage and home fries, and a popover. Saw other people come in after us, order, and be served. 🤔 After about 45 minutes, got up to ask where breakfast was; “it should be out soon” 🤷🏼‍♀️We we’re seriously contemplating getting up and leaving !! (Again, a breakfast sandwich, and 2 scrambled eggs!🤔) And it still wasn’t too busy in there. Our waiter didn’t come bring the food to the table, 2 other people did, never asked if things were ok. When he came to bring the bill, again never spoke to us, but, was talking to the table behind is. 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ It came HIGHLY recommended, but, we weren’t fans. Oh, and also on my “breakfast sandwich”, I got charged separately for the English Muffin!! 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s listed in the description as coming on an English Muffin, so, again…. Why being charged extra?!!🤷🏼‍♀️🤔 The popover was totally burnt and cold , and sausages over cooked and burned. 2 people- $34, Thanks, but no thanks! Service wasn’t that great! And 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and 2 scrambled eggs?!!🤔 We aren’t tourists, we are local to Chatham, and was trying to keep it local, but, …….“

No need for those with all the other scrumptious vegan fillings- you can load up a bowl or burrito with any and all vegan fillings- tons of vegetables, black and refried beans, and brown rice. “I wanted to give a shout out to our waitress, Nadeen, at Sacred Cod Tavern. The place was slammed. Regardless, our server, Nadeen, went over and above what was expected. Even though the tavern was extremely crowded and Nadeen was obviously quite busy, she timed drinks, meal, check and take out perfectly. We asked that we get a take out order to arrive about 5 minutes before we were done with our meals. I don’t know how she did it, but her timing was perfect. It was like she knew when we were done with drinks, and appeared asking if we wanted a refill and then after meal was served, she appeared again making sure that everything was ok. After our meal she perfectly timed our take out order as we requested. The finishing touch, going over and above, was making sure ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and salt was included in the bag, along with silverware. She was meticulous with everything. She was polite, professional and knowledgeable. We asked questions about different dishes and she knew her stuff. She never acted rushed though clearly she was juggling many tables. Nadeen is the consummate server and Chatham Bars Inn and Sacred Cod Tavern is very lucky to have her. I hope she’s always my waitress. Thank you !“
