“A year ago, I tried the Salted Matcha Latte with oat milk ($7.50). It tasted just as good as my favorite matcha place but was less bang for my buck (smaller and more expensive). Came back recently to try the new Plum Pineapple Matcha Latte ($7.50), and it was not nearly as good, as I could not taste the matcha at all this time (even though the color looked promising), so I am bumping down a star.

Also, it seems like they do not properly—or unevenly—adjust the matcha ratio if you order the 16oz, as you end up with a much milkier drink that will dilute the matcha, so I suggest ordering the 12oz.“

“My family and I love Noodle Market. We usually order the Crispy Rolls, Tofu & Veggie Salad, and a Curry or Pad Thai. The wonderful waitress remembers us and our usual order perfectly! I also like that the background music isn't too loud -- I don't go to some restaurants because of the current trend of playing music too loud for conversation and relaxation. Noodle Market is a favorite!“

“This review is long overdue, but this is a great Thai small business to support. The place is cozy [with seasonal outdoor seating] and the staff is always warm. The Drunken noodles are my go-to and it is a generous portion of noodles AND protein...for the most part. I strongly discourage paying extra for extra protein as I paid $3 for EXTRA protein and received 3 small shrimp. This seems to be a trend as I have ordered DN at two other places and the extra fee was not reflected in the portion delivered. But Mae does deliver consistently outside of this.“

“The ladies at the counter were so sweet helping us with the menu choices, offering to cook alternative vegetarian options, and making this a delightful first trial of Vietnamese food. “As far as banh mi go, this one is a solid four stars. I went with the BBQ pork and asked for no aioli. The bread was perfectly crusty, the pickled vegetables tasted great and were cut well, as were the fresh jalapeños. I liked the flavor and smokiness on the BBQ pork, but I wish the temperature on it had been anything above room temperature. There were also a couple of overly fatty pieces that should have been trimmed.

The service and atmosphere leave a bit to be desired. The restaurant, at least when I visited, was quite messy. I understand that the sandwiches generate a lot of crumbs, but I think it would help a lot to more regularly wipe down the tables and chairs. I had to wipe off my table and chair when I entered, as did another party I saw come in after me.

I'm also not a huge fan of the QR code ordering system. For such a small place, it feels quite impersonal. Lastly, the cans of soda come out warm. They do provide a cup with a small amount ice, but the cup really ought to be full of ice in order to properly cool down the warm can. In my case, all of the ice was melted as soon as I poured in half a can. Warm soda is just not pleasant.

I think I would order take out next time to avoid the issues they have with dining in. I did very much enjoy the banh mi, but the service issues were a bit perplexing.“

“Phở Station - A Charming Pho Spot Run by Latin American Owners

If you're looking for a great bowl of noodles near Wellesley College, I highly recommend checking out Phở Station.

First off, finding the parking can be a little adventure. There is free parking in the back of the building, but the entrance is tucked away in a tiny alley right after the bank parking lot. You'll need to be observant to spot it!

Stepping inside, you won't find the usual Asian-themed decor of a traditional Vietnamese joint. Instead, it’s a small, immaculate space with a modern, casual American restaurant feel. Funnily enough, because the owner and staff were all Latin American, we felt a tiny bit nervous at first about how the food would turn out.

However, those doubts disappeared with the very first sip. The broth was deeply flavorful and clean, and the food was served with beautiful plating and decoration. The taste and quality easily rivaled the standard Phở spots I've had in LA.

On top of the food, the owner was remarkably kind, chatting with us and giving us helpful local insights. If you're a fan of Vietnamese noodle soup, Phở Station is well worth a visit!“

“Delicious!!! Tried the beef banh mi and it was so so good. They STUFF it with delicious pickled vegetables and the beef is super tender and flavorful. The bread is perfect. It's a big sandwich and they do not skimp on anything. It was so fresh and perfect. I miss living in Allston but I'm definitely coming back to eat here weekly.“

“My first visit here. I had a dish where you make your own rice paper rolls with a protein. I had pork and it came with peanuts, carrots, watercress, cucumber, rice and a sweet mild fish sauce. It was delicious and fun. I didn't finish and for my to go box they included a fresh container of the dipping sauce so I was able to have the exact same thing again at home.“

“Pho Viet is one of my favorite spots in Newton Center! The food is always delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell that they care about the quality of what they serve.

“Pho 1 has changed a lot and I’ve been going there for years. Last night I ordered the beef soup for take out and when I got home and opened it the meat was like shredded and not the same consistency that had been in the past. These are hard times for all of us and giving customers scraps is no acceptable. I will go again later in the year and see if they have improved.“

“My family and I came out on a weekday in July to Le’s for a quick lunch. We were seated right away and the server brought us the menu.

The menu has many Vietnamese options.Even family style dishes. The seating area is very big so great for large gatherings. There is also a downstairs area for private functions.

We ordered fresh spring rolls, grilled salmon, beef with rice and small pho soup.

1 of the server was very friendly and told us that a celebrity had come in early for lunch. It was nice to hear stories from the server.

The food came out nice and hot.

This place is great because it is located inside a small mall with underground parking garage. We came during a thunderstorm shower.

Perfect for people coming out of town to check out Harvard square or touring near by colleges. Also, great for college students.“

“We had such a great meal here! We started with the soup with pineapple, tofu, and shrimp rice wraps, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. For our entrees, we ordered the steak banh mi and the beef pho, and both were perfect.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a truly great Vietnamese meal. I usually get banh mi in Malden, but they never feel like a full sandwich, and my favorite pho place that I loved for years closed. “Good food for a reasonable price. Great quantity size. I've been getting pho from the H-Mart dining hall for years, and this has been a long-time favorite. My only complaint is that the last time I got pho, my bean sprouts were moldy :< Fortunately they're provided separately from the soup, so I was able to eat everything else just fine.“
