“My mom and I are visiting Marblehead and didn't expect to visit pizza heaven while here! We ordered the Insalata salad (subbed the Parmesan cream dressing) and the Fonduta pizza. WOW! We were blown away. The crust was delicious - crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The toppings were a perfect combo - super savory and aromatic with the truffle oil. We will absolutely be back when we visit next year!“

“Went this past weekend. Luckily made a reservation a week prior because it was packed! Very attentive service. No rush, but there when we needed him. We have cocktails at the Hidden Door before arriving so we order wine and beer straightaway. Apps were the Hamachi tartar - FANTASTIC. Onion soup - wonderful. Escargot - look at that s car go!.. Mains were equally wonderful. The skate wing was perfect. Frankly it was so good I forget what everyone else got. Desserts were also yummy. We opted for the honey lavender sorbet - light and refreshing. We'll be back!“

“I placed an order for delivery on a rainy Saturday night and as it was my first order, I went basic and got the Taco meal deal - 3 Beef tacos. The order went to Marblehead although the website said Salem, I saw the location was Marblehead on the status map. I'm guessing that Salem had closed for the evening. The order arrived early and it was delicious! Best tacos I've ever had! The beef was seasoned perfectly and the hard outer shell was wrapped in a crunchy sleeve of thicker soft shell that was wonderful. It prevented a crispy shell break and held the contents together. Bravo Spitfire, count me a happy customer!“

It was also my birthday, so no cooking! lol Made a reservation for 4, but at the last minute, my 92 year old mother felt up to joining us - she hasn't been interested in going out much lately, so we spent the morning with her. We were thrilled, and decided to chance it, hoping they could add a fifth to our reservation. It was crazy busy, but the staff really worked hard to accommodate us, and did so in a very timely manner. We were most grateful. The decor is beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was superb, even on this very busy day. They even included red eggs! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back soon.“

“I was around the area and was craving for some Ice Cream - so what did I do? Open Yelp and looked for the closest one to me and has at least 4 Stars reviews- You already know what popped up first - Holy Cow Ice Cream ! I pulled into their parking lot on a drizzly 7pm evening - and have no idea what I wanted . At the same time , I don't want to be standing there looking at the 25+ of flavors that they had . Surely enough- I said to myself, ima have the worker pick for me ! So I said to the girl with a gray sweater, tied pony tail- "idk what I want, can you surprise me ?!" - she didn't hesitate or think twice or question anything (other then do I want it in a cup, cone, etc and I picked waffle cone)- and I'm glad she didn't ask me anything more than that because I STILL didn't know what I wanted lol! . She ranged me up, and did her thing . I also overheard her coworker asked if she wanted her to do it instead- she said no- she will surprise me . I waited approximately 3 min- she handed me a big WARM ice cream cone. I'm going to go ahead and say that waffle cone was freshly made. She gave me two scoops of something which had chunks of caramel squares and chocolate, vanilla, chocolate chip. It tasted a bit like butterscotch and something else . The bottom of the waffle cone had chocolate squares and mini chocolate chips and oh. My. Goodness. It was the most delicious ice cream I've ever had ! Kudos to the girl who "Surprised Me" with this ice cream on April 10th at 7pm ! I'll never know this flavor . lol And I'll probably say the same thing when I come back“

Perfectly cooked pork with a rich but not to "blue" cream sauce. Plenty of food for dinner plus the leftovers which will be lunch this weekend! My vegetarian wife ordered the leek and mushroom ravioli and she was in heaven too. Lastly if you are a fan of German Hefeweisen beer, grab the Tucher, prob the best authentic Hefe I've ever had!“

There was only one other family in there and it was blissfully quiet. Service was speedy and friendly. The 3 of us got away with an $80 tab. It was a relaxing meal. Chicken Marsala for me. “Kokeshi is in residency with Bambolina (a wood-fired pizza joint, also delicious) and it's perfect! My husband and I (and our puppy, Dexter) stopped in for lunch on Wednesday and were treated to a wonderful meal with an awesome server and comfortable outdoor seating. I had the Spicy White Kimchi Ramen and my husband had the Margherita pizza. Both were amazing! I highly recommend stopping in when in Salem!“

“Odyssey Grill is the best! Winthrop is very lucky to have them. We moved to the South-shore two years ago and miss it really bad. We miss driving a few minutes for their chicken kabobs subs, stake tips salads, and chicken wings… never disappointed. Now, whenever we drive to Boston we try to stop by to pick up our favorite chicken kabob subs. If you want good food for a “still” affordable price you got to stop by and try their menu. A great local business from a great family.“

“There are not many places in New England where one can get authentic German (and to some extent, Scandinavian) food. This is the best I have found in Massachusetts. It is mostly a "buy and take home" deli type place, although I believe they do have some hours when they operate a cafe to dine on site. Their deli and bakery items are authentic, though. Just like I remember having when I lived in Germany years ago. If you live in MA, and are craving real German food, this is the place to go.“

My husband and I were surprised to see so many cars coming in and out of the sizeable parking lot. Taking it as a good sign, we headed into the beautiful building. The line was long, but worth the wait! We grabbed a beautiful load of herb Parm sourdough, a cinnamon donut, a brioche chocolate mousse roll, ham and cheese croissant, two passion fruit tarts and two coffees. Came to a very reasonable total of $41. The coffee is great, and so far we've only tried the cinnamon donut but....WOW! It is so light and airy and delicious! Very very pleased. We were looking for a bakeshop near us ever since Bird & Wolf shutdown, and we are thrilled to find this gem that's only 10min away from our home.Only suggestion would be to possibly consider a slightly better system for order fulfillment. A single cashier who is also responsible for picking and packing everything leads to a bottleneck.Can't wait to go on a Friday night and try the dinner portion of this place. Really pleased!“
