The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. I didn’t even know there was a category for World’s Best Breakfast Sandwich… apparently Mike & Patty’s created it.

First up: The Fancy. That perfectly runny little yolk made me stop what I was doing and PUT DOWN MY PHONE. I know… in this day and age, that’s basically a spiritual experience.

I ate the entire sandwich and then did the only responsible thing: ordered another one. Purely for quality control. I’m basically a food scientist. 😂

Just when I thought I’d reached peak breakfast, along comes the Bfast Grilled Crack. Now I’m sitting there geekin’ out over what can only be described as fresh, delicious breakfast art.

These guys dropped the mic, pulled out all the stops, put their best foot forward… hell, insert every cliché here because they earned all of them.

Damn, this place is LEGIT.

“I can't recommend Korean Momma enough! We ordered an OG Burnt Basque Cheesecake for my boyfriend's birthday, and it was honestly the best Basque cheesecake we've ever had. The texture was perfectly creamy and custardy with that beautifully caramelized top, and the flavor was incredible, not overly sweet and just absolutely delicious.

What made the experience even more special was how kind and accommodating Su Jean and Duly were. They were able to make a special order for us outside of their regular drop schedule, which completely surprised my boyfriend and made his birthday so memorable. They even included an extra slice of their chocolate Basque cheesecake, which was such a thoughtful surprise.

If you're looking for a cake outside one of their scheduled drops, I'd absolutely recommend reaching out to ask about a special order. They were wonderful to work with, and the extra effort meant so much to us.“

“Cake order review only: easy to inquire about a cake online. Easy payment once we discussed the vision of the cake. And easy pickup. BEAUTIFUL CAKE. The cake was $90 for a heart shaped 2 layer cake with vintage piping, vegan vanilla with vegan vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam filling. I didn’t get the filling but was refunded immediately and the person handling the situation was so nice. I had asked why the darker icing tasted to chemically and they informed that the more they use the dye the more it tastes like it. So I would just skip that completely. Get the lighter frostings. Because like I said these are beautiful cakes and the cake itself is a good texture and flavor as a vegan cake.“

I usually go there and get the tuna fish sandwich and the egg salad sandwich but today they didn't have the tuna fish so they made me a fresh egg salad sandwich. What a way to go. the beautiful lady that made my sandwich came from the back and gave me a beautiful smile and told me the days of her operation and for me to make a phone call before I come so they can have everything waiting for me. Maybe an African-American man that made me very happy and I felt like I was home! Sometimes when you go into places like this and they see a big black man, you usually don't get that great service or they don't talk to you like you're definitely a customer, you usually get that okay what the heck do you want type talk, lol. “I normally dont dont this but Komugi Bakery is absolutely a 5/5! You can really tell how much attention they put into every detail, especially when it comes to texture and flavor. Everything feels carefully made, with the perfect balance of softness, richness, and sweetness without being overwhelming.

The French toast was definitely a standout. The texture was incredible, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right finish on the outside. Every bite had so much flavor, and you could really taste the quality and thought that went into it.

What impressed me most about Komugi is how intentional everything feels. The flavors, textures, presentation, and small details all come together perfectly. Definitely a bakery worth visiting, and I’ll absolutely be coming back!“

“This place has strong sentimental value for me. We got our wedding cake here and they don’t ( or didn’t at the time ) make wedding cakes. We were young and poor and they made us three cakes which we put on platters to make into a wedding cake. We had so much left over we were eating it until Thanksgiving (got married at the end of August). We had no money and were eating pancakes, kraft Mac and cheese, chicken loaf sandwiches, chicken pucks and ramen to survive. But our freezer was filled with the leftover cake and I just loved it.
Circle back 30 some odd years later and my wife and I are walking through Chinatown and we come across this place again (we had moved away from the area after we got married). We go inside, the cake is not on the menu, but we tell them what we want (peach cake) and they make it for us right there. We bring it home and eat it the whole cake in one sitting.
Now whenever we are in Chinatown, we stop here before we go home and they make the cake for us ( though we don’t eat the whole thing in one sitting anymore).❤️“
