“This is my favorite restaurant in the world. It's casual and cozy and never intimidating. Also never full, probably because take out is their main gig. The food is so good. I am obsessed with the szechuan broth and regularly used to go in here by myself and get chicken combo and eat the whole thing in 20 min. I also love the sushi, always great quality. I used to come in here a lot with my band, often in a certain state of mind, and we would ask for "Triple Dragon Combo," which is not something they offer but then we would go on to explain that we wanted Red Dragon Maki, Dragonfly Maki and Dragon Maki. My wife is less of a sushi fan but she orders from their Chinese menu and the hot and sour soup, Rangoons, and Gau are fantastic. I have yet to be unsatisfied with my usual choices enough to try their Thai food except I usually get a Thai ice tea which is great. Always friendly staff and we often have friendly conversations. I hope it is the same forever. Anything else? Err, sometimes you gotta go around the block to find parking? It's never that bad though.“

“After noticing Sushinoya open for a year or so I finally decided to try it. I was craving sushi and ordered take out. We ordered California rolls, spicy tuna, eel, salmon, and shrimp tempura for take out. The order was ready in under 30 minutes. After eating some of the sushi I instantly knew it was special. Sushinoya made some of the best sushi I've ever had. It was fresh, delicious and perfectly balanced. I am looking forward to going back and trying their other offerings. Their prices are also very reasonable.“

“We have been going to Uchi since the opening week, and the food and service have only improved over time. We get takeout most weeks, and have enjoyed every item we've ordered, from various appetizers (we love the shrimp shumai) to entrees of sushi, ramen, fried rice, etc., to the fried ice cream dessert. “Chef Toriyama has some of the best sushi in Boston, hands-down! Little nuances that just make everything pop the vegetables tasted alarmingly, fresh good texture, really stunning depth the flavor. Almost reminds me of picking vegetables out of the garden. Not the usual slightly sterile taste, and texture that you find from modern restaurants.

The way that he seasons the rice is a little bit unique has a nice slightly nutty flavor to it. Really everything was incredibly well, balanced, and thought out.

The atmosphere is also stunning, soft, jazz music in the background sunlight gently fills the room

The staff all seem to know one another and be well connected and the entire vibe just feels warm.

Even the preparation & assembly of each role is different but in a charming and unique way. You can definitely tell that Chef has been at this for over the last two decades.

I also ordered the spider roll and the waitress didn’t tell me they didn’t have soft shell crab. She didn’t write anything down and I thought maybe she just forgot. She never came back with it so I was just waiting there. Until I asked another waitress. By then I was kind of done and didn’t want to look for anything else.

Overall, I thought the food was very good. I will probably try the omakase box next time or sit in for omakase if I have the time.“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

“Visited here based on ratings and it did not disappoint! Tried to find a weak spot with so many things on the menu but could not. Sushi was great, sauces complimented the fish without overpowering. The Ramen bowl was good, flavor was more complex than expected from Ramen. Poke bowl was great with nice with a good balance of various flavors. Service was timely and polite! “I love Takara in Medfield. The staff is wonderful. I eat here almost every week. Even during COVID, my family did take out weekly. This is my go-to restaurant. My wife takes me there as a reward!! The food is wonderful and well prepared. I think that I have tried almost everything on the menu over the years. My favorite meal is the spicy tuna avocado salad! The rest of my family enjoys the sushi, sashimi, and various maki rolls which I always help them finish. Korean inspired food is a nice twist on typical sushi. Great place with great service. Great bar and wines too!“

“My spouse and I have been coming to Yama for over 20 years, and we have always enjoyed meals together, with family and with friends. The meals are well prepared and attractively plated. Service is personable and excellent even when they are busy. [As an observation more than criticism, Asian restaurants in general have had to struggle obtaining and affording top quality rice of all sorts, from Japanese-grown short grain to premium Indian basmati. Unfortunately, it seems Yama is no exception — the rice is good and acceptable, but not exceptional.] Lunch bento boxes and sashimi/sushi specials are excellent and good value.“

“Took a friend there to eat for their birthday we got there and Monday and Tuesdays are only for takeout we talked to the staff and they were very accommodating they said sure come in sit and enjoy the food. “I got take out poke bowls and they were both really delicilious. I got my partner the ahi tuna bowl on salad. He said it was really tasty, but the salad was just big chunks of lettuce and not cut up quite right. That was the only negative remark. I got a build your own bowl with tofu and shrimp tempura with corn, seaweed salad, avocado, and edamame with spicy mayo. It was SO GOOD! The person behind the counter was so nice. I will absolutely be back often.

“Enjoyed the 갈비 비빔밥 (Galbi Bibimbap) which is essentially marinated beef short rib in a mixture of white rice and fresh vegetables and a fried egg. It was delicious and an enjoyable experience watching the food cook in the hot bowl right in front of me. The rice at the bottom crisped up and gave the dish that extra crunch I was not expecting. “I was not expecting good Chinese food in the burbs of Boston, connected to a hotel. But, I was pleasantly surprised by Bamboo. It’s a beautiful restaurant with comfortable seating. We were there for dinner and it looked like they may have a daily lunch buffet during the week. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean.

Now the food. We had chicken lo mein, which was so delicious. Sometimes this dish is dry on Chinese restaurants, but not here. We also had the garlic duck which was so special. It’s large pieces of duck in a brown sauce with vegetables. We had the pork spareribs for an appetizer. We will definitely be back!“

The chef was wonderful and had both of my kids laughing hysterically as well as the adults. The food was exactly what you would expect from hibachi- it was very good and it came with salads and soup.
