I visited during a tasting event, which offered a great opportunity to sample several dishes from across the menu. The fish was beautifully prepared and expertly seasoned throughout. The standout was the black cod, perfectly balancing savory richness with just the right touch of sweetness.

The shiromi ususukuri — Japanese white fish sashimi — was delicate and refreshing, with candied quinoa adding an unexpected and satisfying crunch. On the meat side, the pork belly bao bun was superb: melt-in-your-mouth pork tucked inside a pillowy, perfectly steamed bun.

Every dish felt thoughtful and polished without being fussy. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. I can’t wait to come back.“

“Don’t be fooled by the somewhat outdated interior and hole in the wall feel. The focus here is on the food!

Good quality fish, creative rolls, and efficient service. The price-to-value ratio can’t be beat. Tastes that much better with the reasonable prices. Note that you can tell the fish is not top-notch quality, but it hits all the right notes for an everyday sushi craving. Some rolls are more outstanding than others. My favorite so far was one that incorporated crunchy tempura bits into the minced tuna topping (forgot the name!).

We loved our recent visits so much that we’re getting platters from here for a holiday party. I’m pretty sure they’re going to be a hit.“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

“We went here on a weekday for lunch. I got a 3 roll Maki lunch special (spicy tuna, Fin's roll, and Alaska roll), and my partner got the sashimi lunch. The fish was fresh, and the presentation was nicely done. We go to this restaurant at least once a month and have never had a bad experience. The food is good, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant is a pleasant environment.“

I ordered the crispy chicken pad thai and the chicken is genuinely life changing and your taste buds will thank you. plus the actual pad thai was the perrrrrfect blend of sweet and sour.

The Philadelphia comes with smoked salmon which is hard to find. Both rolls were hands down the best sushi I have had in the Greater Boston area! We also ordered the Sakura fried rice and beef with onions and peppers. They were pretty much the same you can get anywhere else. The sushi is the stand out here! The service was great. “Basho is an incredible restaurant. The black cod is the best I’ve had and I have been around the world twice. I love your soup. The miso ramen is incredible the right amount of tofu spice and noodle makes it so delectable anything that ails you it will cure. The shrimp fried rice had nearly a dozen large shrimp in it the taste was sublime and full of vegetable, completely disheveled for easy consumption.. the pork Gyoza was just a vine, and the sauce that came with it was not salty, but added just the right amount of zippy flavor. Their cocktails are amazing and go without saying that they’re inventive and delicious as well as refreshing and light……. As always, I would will return to Basho even after these five years, it is one of the best restaurants in the fenway, and it is a must visit.!!!!!“

“This well-known gem is worth the wait and will give one an experience rarely found in Greater Boston.
The dishes are unique, tasty, and well prepared. You need to have your entire present to be seated and they do not take reservations as there are few tables. The larger group I saw about six people. It's not a large place and has a very minimalist feel with the decor.“

There's always room for improvement in any restaurant or environment of food services. I gave this blossom 5 stars across the board. Every aspect of service, presentation, courtesy, cleanliness, decorum, food freshness, quality, and I could keep going on. If they were to try and improve, it could possibly hurt them. “I ordered pick up from Ginger Exchange on a Friday night. The service was really great and friendly and the prices were fair. Also the menu selection is wide ranging so there will be something for everyone. This is also conveniently located on a stretch of highland where there are not many other restaurants, which is great. In terms of the food itself, would love to see a bit more depth of flavor in some of the dishes like the bibimbap and noodles!“

“Went here on a Monday night when most other places were closed.

We got the thai pancakes and the thai garden salad for appetisers. Super pleased with them.

For entrees we got the tofu pad thai and chicken ginger make your own thing. Pad thai was great. Chicken was a little boring but cant complain because i ate everything and almost licked the plate (can we normalise that please).
