“My favorite hand roll place. Overall great food and speedy service. The handrolls are super fresh and come out quickly so everything stays fresh and flavorful. We ordered salmon mango, foe grais, miso butter cod and spicy scallops and all of them are really good. Highly recommend the spicy scallops. Our server Stelle are friendly, efficient, and keep things moving without rushing you. Easy spot for a really satisfying meal.“

“Mind-Blowing Culinary Experience at UNI Dining at UNI is nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Take's talent is truly remarkable, turning every dish into a masterpiece. The sashimi is unbelievably fresh, each slice practically melts in your mouth, showcasing the incredible quality and craftsmanship that UNI is known for. One of the standout dishes was the Foie Gras sushi with pop rocks and strawberry. The combination of flavors and textures was nothing short of genius—a perfect balance of richness, sweetness, and a playful pop that left me in awe. It’s a daring creation that speaks to Chef Take’s innovative spirit. My personal favorite, though, has to be the Toro topped with caviar. The buttery, luxurious texture of the Toro paired with the briny burst of caviar is an experience I won't soon forget. It's the kind of sushi that dreams are made of. The service at UNI is also top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and makes you feel like a VIP from start to finish. They are well-versed in the menu and make excellent recommendations, ensuring that your dining experience is seamless and memorable. UNI is, without a doubt, a dining destination that should be on every food lover’s bucket list. Chef Take’s talent shines through in every dish, making it an unforgettable experience.“

“This place is a tremendous value. The quality of the sushi and all of the different noodle dishes as well as other entrees is absolutely outstanding at such a reasonable price. We have been here a number of times and we always go after we see the chamber musicians play at Jordan Hall. Never fails. Always a great encore.“
“The “cactus” (made of beef) burger was easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also enjoyed the scallop / shrimp ceviche, though on the smaller side it still satisfied and has a delicious citrusy aftertaste. Drinks were amazing and served by the friendliest bartender, Miranda. Boston sorely needed a spot like this and at 500 Boylston it’s helping bring back the area. Can’t wait to visit again and try the remaining menu items. Great upscale atmosphere.“

“Don’t be fooled by the somewhat outdated interior and hole in the wall feel. The focus here is on the food!
Good quality fish, creative rolls, and efficient service. The price-to-value ratio can’t be beat. Tastes that much better with the reasonable prices. Note that you can tell the fish is not top-notch quality, but it hits all the right notes for an everyday sushi craving. Some rolls are more outstanding than others. My favorite so far was one that incorporated crunchy tempura bits into the minced tuna topping (forgot the name!).
We loved our recent visits so much that we’re getting platters from here for a holiday party. I’m pretty sure they’re going to be a hit.“

“One of the best sushi spots in town. True hole in the wall in Allston/brighton. The owner is the sweetest man, the sushi is always FRESH and delicious. And the miso soup!?? Perfect. I always come here when I need some sushi. Great price for the incredible quality. Would recommend over and over again.“

“My favorite thing about this restaurant is the fact that BEEF sushi is served. As someone who doesn't like seafood, it's great to be able to enjoy eating here with friends who do. All of the beef options are delicious and it's fun being able to look for it on the revolving track. Their desserts are also delicious (though few), and the servers are all very friendly. It's very easy to not overeat here and to be able to decide how much you're going to spend.“

“Kenzoku Mazesoba is a great eatery for comforting, brothless ramen (mazesoba). The interior is bright and the staff are accommodating.
The meal started with three warm Kurobuta sausages that were topped with pickled red cabbage and a mustard-based sauce over fresh greens. Overall, a well-rounded appetizer with a nice balance of textures, richness, and acid.
Next, the torched Hamachi roll had fresh fish slices laid on a roll and then torched. The hamachi was then topped with black tobiko and complemented with fresh ginger and wasabi. The roll was light and tasty.
The Yuzu Shio Ramen was the standout and featured braised pork chashu and a delicious poached egg. The medium-bodied noodles were a pleasant to chew with the toppings.
The vegetable mazesoba (vegan) included tofu soboro, mix of corn, quinoa, red pickles, and other goodies. It was a lighter flavor and we appreciated the opportunity to order the truffle oil on the side.
Overall, recommended for a casual and pleasant dinner among family and friends. The food quality and atmosphere make this hidden gem a great choice.“

“I recently visited this omakase restaurant and was truly impressed. The quality of the fish they use is exceptional, and I enjoyed every single dish they prepared. The presentation of each course was beautiful and thoughtful, adding to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch omakase experienced! 10/10“

“Came here to try the new bubble tea line. The new favors were brown sugar, ube milk, Thai milk and matcha milk . We also grabbed the Fenway special and spicy Hawaiian. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The drinks were all Delicious. They came with matcha boba balls and brown sugar boba balls. My favorite definitely the ube milk. The Fenway Special was so spectacular. All the ingredients just went well together. The spicy mayo was definitely clutch on it. The spicy Hawaiian was a well balance of flavors and textures. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny for the quality. Definitely, will be back to get my poke bowl fix.“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

“My partner and I eat here once or twice a month and last night’s meal was exceptionally good. They’re our local little sushi shop and we’ve found the rolls that are consistently good (spicy tuna and salmon/avocado), and we get a combo each and feel super happy with our soup, salad, roll, and drink for a good price :) service is also great“

They go above and beyond with their service, always friendly and genuinely caring for you to enjoy their food! And their prices are unmatched - you can't find prices like that anymore. “Omori hits again. I frequented the location in Brookline when I lived in the city. Now that I’m outside the city, I was so pleased to see Omori had another location. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is incredible too! Highly recommend any of the yakitori!“
“Basho Express is a solid spot for quick and reliable sushi, especially if you’re looking for something fast around campus. The fish tastes fresh, the rolls are well-made, and portion sizes are surprisingly generous for the price. Service is usually quick and friendly, and it’s easy to grab takeout without a long wait. Some items can be a bit basic compared to full sushi restaurants, but for convenience, quality, and value, Basho Express definitely delivers. I’ll be coming back for quick lunch runs.“

“Yum!! The sushi closest to the camera was the Southie , the back one is the coco salmon. Both delish but I think the Southie was the winner for me-
We also got the bim bam bop. It was so good I forgot to take a photo!

“Delightful and surprising gem in the South End. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and really sweet and attentive service. Everything we tried was good, but the pork gyoza were some of the best we've ever had. The prix fixe menu looked like a great deal and opportunity to sample across the menu, but we were not super hungry. Will definitely be making this a regular spot.“

“I ordered food from here by pickup late at 10pm. Both of these things typically cause food to generally be worse in my opinion.
However, the food was amazing! The miso soup and shrimp tempura maki were really good.
I also got the chicken katsu, and it was absolutely delicious! Not only that, but it was a very generous portion size too! Given how much chicken there was, I would've liked a little more katsu sauce, but it was so yummy.
Can't wait to go back!“

“Our mains were very good but a little unexciting, as opposed to our appertizers which were mouth melting.
We had the mango sticky rice as dessert, amazing, I’d pay 10$ for that mango alone. Had brianna scrape the plate (very rare!!), see picture below.
Very nice staff. Cute but small inside.
As a heads up; they dont serve alcohol“

“This was great food. Everything was obviously fresh and high quality. We ordered from the menu, not hot pot, and all the dishes were cooked exactly perfectly. Even the appetizers were clearly cooked with care. And they have a really extensive menu of hot pot items, plus plenty of other dishes. They really care about making the best food and they succeed.“
