“We happened to be in Orleans and decided to grab an early dinner at The Barley Neck. We started with a dozen raw oysters and a bottle of French Chardonnay. The oysters were so fresh and delicious we ordered a second dozen. My husband had a lobster pasta dish for his entree and I had a Thai style tuna steak. Both were delicious, but a special thumbs up for the tuna. It was without a doubt the BEST tuna steak I’ve ever had! We finished with the pineapple upside down cake special! O.M.G. Everything was consistently amazing. The service was attentive and welcoming! From beginning to end the experience as a whole was on point! 10 out of 10!“

He made our evening, from providing us top tier service to a thoughtful dessert for our anniversary- we couldn’t have asked for a better gentleman to serve us. Try the Lemon Drop martini: cucumber infused vodka, mulled basil ( for 3 days), a splash of Cointreau, lemon and simple syrup. Quite refreshing for a summer day. “I wanted to give a shout out to our waitress, Nadeen, at Sacred Cod Tavern. The place was slammed. Regardless, our server, Nadeen, went over and above what was expected. Even though the tavern was extremely crowded and Nadeen was obviously quite busy, she timed drinks, meal, check and take out perfectly. We asked that we get a take out order to arrive about 5 minutes before we were done with our meals. I don’t know how she did it, but her timing was perfect. It was like she knew when we were done with drinks, and appeared asking if we wanted a refill and then after meal was served, she appeared again making sure that everything was ok. After our meal she perfectly timed our take out order as we requested. The finishing touch, going over and above, was making sure ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and salt was included in the bag, along with silverware. She was meticulous with everything. She was polite, professional and knowledgeable. We asked questions about different dishes and she knew her stuff. She never acted rushed though clearly she was juggling many tables. Nadeen is the consummate server and Chatham Bars Inn and Sacred Cod Tavern is very lucky to have her. I hope she’s always my waitress. Thank you !“

“I go to this lovely spot quite often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this spot many times. The meals are of high quality, the staff members are friendly and the payment is reasonable. I enjoy being in this spot over a good dinner.“

“While we live about a mile away, we've never dined here and decided to do so for a holiday treat. Upon entering the Wequassett grounds, it was somewhat difficult to locate twenty-eight Atlantic. Most of the signage pertained to lodging/room numbers. We did eventually locate three signs (all on one post together) for three different dining venues. Unfortunately those signs were in front of multiple entrances and none of those doors were identified as restaurants. We walked around for a bit and eventually were able to ask for directions to our dining room. The menu offered only 6 entrees, along with a couple of surprising choices we thought would be found at their other casual restaurants. The two fish choices were salmon and monk fish tail, along with chicken, lamb, beef and a vegetarian choice. Our food (salmon and lamb) was average and we would have preferred more menu choices. Our meal presentation was lovely, and the service impeccable. A jazz trio provided festive ambiance and the decks were lit with holiday lights with fire pits blazing. We may return in the day time to enjoy the view, and hopefully next time we'll find the place easier!“
