“I placed a large order for pick up for a familial event that included a large Tray of pernil, large tray of chicken, large tray or moro and potato salad 2 days before the event and they came through. The food was great and everyone was satisfied.“

“We had an unexpected situation at my workplace where an appliance malfunctioned, leaving us unable to prepare food for the people we serve. It was before 2:00 PM, and I Love Nick’s Pizza didn’t even open until 5:00, but I had to shoot my shot!

I called, and the friendly voice on the other end explained that they had just returned from vacation and weren’t even open for the day yet. Despite that, they were more than willing to fulfill our order and help us out when we really needed it. And to top it off, for every three pizzas we purchased, they gave us one free.

The pizza was delicious, but what really stood out was the kindness and willingness to show up for the community. They didn’t have to open their doors early for us, and they certainly didn’t have to do anything extra. But they did.

I will forever be a patron of I Love Nick’s Pizza. Great food, great people, and a business that truly cares about its community. They earned a customer for life that day!“

“Perfect little sub shop in Backbay. We opted for the Italian Sub to go. The atmosphere was awesome with a lot of locals getting what seemed to be a regular daily lunch meal. The staff and customers seemed to know each other and a sense of community was ever so prevalent. The food itself was outstanding, even after a 5 hour train ride it traveled with us to ur next stop. Highly recommend this place. Truly a diamond in the rough.“

“My wife and I went on a wedding trip in wine country California last year and had an amazing BLT sandwich with super fresh local ingredients at a little cafe. After returning home to the Boston area , I started a search for a lunch shop near my office on Portland Street that could replicate that BLT experience for me. Ultimately the Bonne Chance Cafe was it! The folks that own and run this place are quiet, seemingly shy, but sweet and lovely people very dedicated to their craft. I try at least once a week to go back there and get my BLT on toasted wheat bread with sliced grilled chicken added, and I've been doing this long enough now that they know exactly why I'm there. Their food is delectable and tasty! They run a tight ship, high on cleanliness and the freshest ingredients. Definitely a must find!“

Tried Pokeworks at Quincy Market in Boston and honestly wish I found this place sooner! The market itself was super crowded and a bit overstimulating on a Saturday night, and the location was slightly hard to find because it was packed with people — but that’s definitely more about Quincy Market being busy than the restaurant itself.

I did a collect order and highly recommend doing that because my food was ready straight away with no waiting around. The portions were EXTREMELY generous and definitely good value for money. I got the poke salad bowl with tuna and prawns and added literally every topping possible (which was great because there were so many included at no extra cost). Everything tasted fresh and filling, and I was seriously impressed by how much food I got.

I had the kofra kebab plate, ground beef with lamb, rolled and fried, salad, hummus, garlic sauce and tabouli. Look it up. I'm probably not touching it all the great aspects of it. Every part of it was exceptional, full of freshness and taste, each part distinctive in taste and presentation from another part. Not the usual commodification of Mediterranean food present in most imitative restaurants. So many spots are predictable, bland, food feeling like it sat around waiting to be served and unremarkable in every way. Not here. A full size salad, bright, light tastes with just the right amount of a delicate dressing. Not just the typical hunks of greens and ingredients thrown together with no soul and doused in some soybean oil based imitation.It was not the thick flour pita pocket that despite rips apart when you try to lightly stuff it with your salad or grape leaves or tabouli, despite being the thickness of baseball glove leather. This pita pocket was as thin as it could be, not the chewy baseball glove we usually get, yet completely resilient. It held everything I stuffed into it.“

“Love Tu y Yo in Somerville but quite a drive for us. This has the same owners and much of the same menu and is much closer. This restaurant was wonderful! My favorites are the cactus salad, the tamales, plantains, and birria tacos. Mole wasn't my favorite, and pozole was good but a bit salty. Staff were really friendly and welcoming! Definitely looking forward to coming back!“

My husband and son ordered a calmelized onion and red pepper version and I tried the vegan veggie pizza.
