“Wow! When you're not a local, go where the locals go. The hotel bartender recommended this place, and it was so very good. I'm not even a big fan of clan chowder, but the one here is delicious. I also ate the broiled scallops, and they were cooked to perfection. Check 'em out! You'll be happy you did. And full.“
“I was excited to see they've changed their menu as I was tired of the same old offerings year after year. The two salads we ordered were fresh and delicious. The Caesar was huge, chopped and very garlicky and came with a Parmesan crisp. The second salad was endive, blue cheese, candied walnuts and was large. Dressing on this salad was just ok but salad was nice and fresh. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked and had delicious green beans and sticky rice as sides. The pesto and ricotta baked pasta was absolutely terrible. The pesto wasn't basil pesto but I think was tasteless spinach pesto (I asked the waiter and he had no idea what type of pesto it was). There was barely any ricotta in it and it was dry as a bone. The meatballs that came on the side were good but an odd choice as an accompaniment to the baked pasta (they were in red sauce and pasta was green). They need to get this pasta dish swapped out with another type of pasta entree that isn't over cooked and dry and flavorless. Cocktails are interesting and unusual. Ambiance and service both top notch. We'll be back, I just will order better next time and skip the pasta.“
“Understated spot in Scituate Harbor. The sushi is world class besting even the finest and over priced “ Bostons Best “. The non sushi menu is equally impressive. An amalgamation of Asian dishes served served in a creative and imaginative style elevating the gastronomic experience. If you have yet to try this hidden gem , I suggest you do so“
“Excellent sushi! We tried the Green Harbor Roll, Lobster Blossom Roll, and Sriracha Lime Special. Green Harbor Roll was my favorite but the other two had great flavor. The edamame with chili flakes and dumplings are a must try too. If you get the chance try to sit in front of the sushi bar, the chefs were very talented and fun to watch. The sushi boat is on the bucket list for next time. Highly recommend.“
“Very nice place, right on the water. Went for lunch today after hanging out at the ocean watching the waves crash, if storm coming in tomorrow. Waitress was very attentive and when i ordered the blackened chicken sandwich she cautioned me as to how spicy it was, glad she did because i would not have enjoyed it. Got chili instead, very good serving with a heap of tortilla chips. Also ordered the corn bread with honey butter so delish. Husband got the lobster bisque, good chunks of lobster in it, we both had a ceaser salad, he had anchovies on his. Salad was a very good size could have easily shared one. I recommend this restaurant“
“Get the stuffed lobstahh… need I say more?!? This dish was absolutely amazing! The clam chowder made for a delicious appetizer!I went for a late lunch with some girlfriends, and the restaurant was busy inside, so we opted to sit outside. The server was super nice and friendly, but did not check on us as frequently as we would have liked. The food was absolutely fantastic!Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant does have a lower level, but it was not open during our visit… they did however allow us to use the restroom on the first floor.“
“Excellent food! My party had the calamari appetizer, then the seafood sampler, fish'n'chips and fish dinner. Everything came out of the kitchen hot and delicious. We enjoyed talking to the owner about Football while our table was being prepared. Would love to go back next time I'm in Boston.“
“Probably the best Prime Rib I’ve had in awhile. GIANT slab of meat, maybe an inch and a half thick, super tender, very flavorful, melted in my mouth ?On the specials menu only $31.99 after 6pmGuess it sells out quick and I can see why. (We sat down at 5:55) The table next to us was asking for it as soon as they sat down. Our waitress Patty was amazing, she hooked it up with a container of their delicious Au jus to take home since we couldn’t finish everything at the restaurant.. I took two more bites when I got home because it was that good.9.79/10#primerib #hullmassachusetts #schoonerrestaurant“
“I wasn’t expecting the food to be this good. We had the fish and chips and the burger. Tip: Change the regular fries for truffle fries.Shout out to Caeleigh G for doing a great job taking care of us.Request to the restaurant: Give us more than two pieces of bread for two people. The bread is delicious!Parking: We got there at 5:30 PM on a Saturday. We didn’t have issues finding parking.“
“While traveling through for a wedding my wife and I decided to stop for some pho. We have ate a lot of pho in our day and this spot ranks in the top 10 pho spots we have eaten at. 10/10 recommend getting the Nguyen special pho and the oxtail pho. There were about 4 tables plus us at the bar and one server she took care of every single table with efficiency and a smile. She was very kind and welcoming. We will be coming back!“
“High energy provided by the St Pats 5k runners, and a fabulous D.J. playing base-thumping music while we "chair-danced" and enjoyed an exceptionally tasty supper brought to us by the most pleasant waitress we've had in a long time!!! What a great way for us two "oldies" to feel alive again (and have a delicious meal.) Great job Venus II.“
“We went to dinner here on a Tuesday night and they were packed which was a great first sign (they must be good if they are that busy on a Tuesday). They still sat us right away. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive to us the whole time we were there. All of the food just blew us away! It was absolutely amazing and so full of flavor. I can not wait to get back over there again“
“First time here. Went for early dinner Saturday afternoon. The place was very busy but we were seated in ten minutes. Our server was at the table almost immediately. Emma was excellent. Very attentive and extremely patient as my wife asked a million questions about the menu. The meal was great and priced reasonably. Will definitely be back!“
“As usual we had a lovely, well paced dinner. Sarah was attentive and did not rush us at all. We loved the scallops and steak tips...shared it as a Surf & Turf. I LOVE the mixed veggies. Mashed potatoes...a little dry. Desserts were great. LOVELY TIME !“
“We’ve been visiting Duxbury Beach State Park for a few years and finally decided to grab some food from Blakeman’s. Not sure what took us so long but it was worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish sandwich. Not too heavily breaded and the fish was very fresh. The accompanying fries were excellent. My wife was impressed by the taste and size of the lobster roll. Our son enjoyed his chicken fingers and fries and he’s a very picky eater. If you’re just eating at Blakeman’s then the parking is free. Just tell the attendant when you enter the public parking lot next door. Otherwise, if you’re planning to spend some time on the beach and then visit Blakeman’s or vice-versa then the parking is $25 for the 2023 season. The beach and the restaurant are well worth the price of parking.Kid-friendliness: They offer a solid kids menu. “Consistently good food with 'jolly green giant' portions. Good spot to split an entry as they are pricey. Fabulous bar and bartenders. Everyone was so accommodating from 'welcome'. It has a different vibe of a sports bar and a summertime get together after the beach. I will be back!“
“Went for a late lunch with a friend. We sat outside and enjoyed the view, the breeze, margaritas, and delicious food. We shared a lobster roll, fried haddock & scallops and shrimp cocktail. We both agreed that the fried scallops were the best we’ve ever had- they were cooked to perfection. Service was great.“
“Five stars. This place should be turned into a church because the food I was eating tasted like the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Honestly, the people were so sweet too. The guy even gave me a special surprise because of my large tip. Their eyes are thin but the noodles have never been thicker. Again, five stars. And I would definitely recommend for kids. ;)“
“We moved here a year ago and ordered pizza from here the first night when everything was in moving boxes. It was so good that we have just kept coming back. The pizza is always cooked perfectly, and after going here approximately 10 or 15 times (loosely every other week for a year) I can confidently say the people that work here are nice, the food is great and consistent, and the prices are very reasonable. 10 out of 5 stars for this place.“
“We held a Celebration of Life luncheon for my sister-in-law at the Barker House, and it was wonderful, classy and flawless. I live in Georgia, so never even saw the venue or met Andrew or Camryn in person until I showed up two hours before the event. It was perfect and they were so very compassionate. Highly recommend this venue and event planning team!“
