“Very good overall. Food was interesting and mostly delicious, but heavy on the vinegar/acid, which wore out our palates. Music volume was ok — we were able to converse without yelling - a nice change from recent experiences at other restaurants. (Suggest you moderate the thumping bass though — it sermed get louder as the evening progressed!) Liked the ambiance and pace of the meal. Staff and service was outstanding.“
“Ate at the chefs counter last night with a buddy. The food was delicious and fun. Was delighted by each course. Very well executed. Wine pairings were wonderful. Service was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was cozy and comforting. If I lived in Boston, I would visit here often.“
“SO GOOD !!!!! The food here is to die for ! The service is amazing. Can’t wait to come back here. I came here with my husband and sister in law for my birthday brunch on a Sunday and the server helped us with recommendations. I didn’t even get a picture of the banana bread they recommended because it was so good. The grits are amazing. You have to check this place out.“
“Very good food, pretty portions. They are small so if there are two of you, order at least 4 plates! :) If You're a group of 4, you'll probably get to taste the whole menu. To me, main dishes selection was way better than the desserts. In the desserts section, everything seemed to be either chocolate based or ice cream. I wish there were more vegetarian options in the main menu, but I have to admit that the fish dishes were perfect, so if you're a pescetarian, you're good here. Love love love the atmosphere, the candles, the plants!“
“Excellent! Filet mignon and rainbow trout. Her steak was perfectly seasoned. My fish was moist and well seasoned also. She got risotto which wasn't allot but was very good and asparagus. I had delicious brussel sprouts and asparagus.Could not have asked for a better waiter!“
“Today was our last day in Boston during our four day outing and we were looking for a place to end off our trip with a bang. Did not disappoint!!! The layout and vide of the restaurant is beautiful, perfect for a date night or night out with any loved ones. Our waitress, Shivahni, was amazing! She was very nice and super attentive. For appetizers, we got the cornbread and their croquettes. Both were tasty and had their unique flavors. For entree, both my mother and sister got the mushroom risotto, my father got the scallops, and i got the panini. This has to be one of the best french dip panini's out there. 100% would recommend!!! I wish they had this exact place back in Miami! When we come back, we are totally coming back here :)“
“Absolutely excellent meal with an excellent team. Starting with the amazing bread and butter and a ln orange creamsicle (adult version of a childhood favorite). Then the broccoli salad with poached egg (poached expertly creating a creamy sauce). I had the fusilli broccoli- home made pasta dressed beautifully. My husband had the chick pea stew - whole chick peas made this his favorite. Finished with delicious double chocolate chip cookies. Can’t wait to go back!“
“Get the tasting menu!!I was so happy that Forage went above and beyond on providing vegan and vegetarian options for every course, none of which felt subpar or like an afterthought. 10/10 for creative dishes and delicious food for everyone.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options“
“Just wanted to say how much I appreciated the atmosphere and customer service in this place. Made an out of towner from TX feel welcomed in a city I didn't expect it in. Great bartenders who take care of their customers. Thanks again and looking forward to coming back in the future!“
“this place is so wonderful, a cozy interior that you can meet the owner, Peter. he is so knowledgeable and kind, their coffee is outstanding and delicious. for food their tuna wrap is my go-to but i am going to have to try all their snacks!“
“The food was so good and our waiter was really kind. We got two original cocktails off the menu and we really enjoyed them. We'd come back more often if we lived closer!Kid-friendliness: Our 10 year-old was more than welcomed. His pizza was delicious.“
“Best Irish pub in Somerville! The atmosphere and decor are spot-on, food is delicious and servings plentiful, and the staff is attentive and personable. No designated parking but street parking is usually available. Just across from the Sullivan Square T station.“
“Love the atmosphere, very spacious. We made a reservation for a weekday dinner and I’m glad we did because the place filled up very quickly after 6pm! Our server was very sweet and food came out pretty quickly. Everything beautifully played and creative. There were some dishes I’m not sure I would reorder but it was definitely worth the try. Good portion shareable portion size for a tapas place.“
“Berry Tavern is mine and my husband's favorite restaurant in Danvers, we always call it our "Townie Place". I've never had a bad meal here, the Carbonara is my particular favorite. We especially love sitting out on their patio when the weather gets warmer. Berry Tavern is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner and we take people here all the time when we want to impress them with a good meal!“
“Wonderful! Interesting pizzas cooked in a 900 degree oven with some creative sides and top notch hospitality. Really nice cocktail and wine list also.Dietary restrictions: We were provided an annotated menu with which dishes were okay and which could be modified.“
“Delicious, nutritious and wholesome protein bowls that leave you feeling super satisfied after a long day of hackathons at MIT! So many options of yummy sides to pick from too, including the kale salad, Mac and cheese, farro and brown rice base etc. This was the perfect spot for our large group that had a variety of dietary restrictions since there were options available for everyone. Highly recommend their ginger mint lemonade as well. Wish we had a place like this back in Seattle. Will be back here again!“
“Came to Boston from NH for a weekend away with my husband. I researched restaurants for days and ended up picking the Tip Tap Room for our dinner meal. The bread with rosemary butter was to die for!!! I got the bourbon bbq steak tips, apple salsa, and sweet potatoes. I ordered medium rare but they arrived medium well. My husband got the steak frites, ordered medium well. His came out rare. We informed our server right away. They replaced my steak tips but my husband was full at that point and left other rare steak tip behind. We were surprised to see we each received half off our meals due to the mistake. We certainly did not expect this as mistakes happen, but were so grateful. Such a kind gesture. We are definitely going to come back again and we appreciate your kindness and hospitality!“
“Swung in for brunch and had a pretty good time. Ordered the Hot Buttered Rum, and while i didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would, it was still neat.We ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken and cookie dough waffles. The biscuits and gravy were rather forgetable, but the waffles were so good.Finished off with the brownie sundae, which was great.Overall, we had a good experience. The service was good, the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and we came and left happy.“
“Amazing atmosphere with iconic decor. An antiquated feel to it. I was here for a conference and there are quite a number of meeting rooms, but seating is rather limited. Also, parking is a gigantic problem, so use public transportation if possible because most conferences go all day long, so the zones limit you to either one hour or two hours with NO option to extend your time. You will have to keep moving your vehicle and driving around & around & around in hopes a spot will open up. Very friendly people here and it has a prestigious feel to it.“
“I have been there twice, once during Fall, the weather was nice enough to enjoy the terraza, last time, just a couple of weeks ago, inside. The ambiance is nice, very warm and lively (even when it is in a hotel)This time The Mission had a promotion for brunch, $18 without drinks, we decided to go for it and try an array of small dishes. The variety was nice and short rib taco was excellent, sadly most of our food was cold, reason for me to takeaway a star from my review. The music is overwhelmingly loud, have to scream to be heard across the table, which takes away from the ambiance.“
“Went here for valentine’s day dinner. The food was delicious!!!!! We ordered off their pre-fixed menu and then ordered a mushroom starter (i can’t remember the name but it was SOOOOO good). The wait staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond. The short rib was incredibly tender and cooked amazingly, the chicken fell off the bone, the wagyu tartar was the star of the night though. The flavor was absolutely incredible i would love to come back here. The hostess noticed when she seated us that our table was wobbly and my partner and without saying anything to us she came back and asked if she could fix it- we weren’t bothered by the rocking but it definitely made our experience better and we appreciated it! Our waiter boxed our leftovers up too and was just incredibly kind and attentive. Truly a 5/5 experience.“
“Great place for something low key and casual. I came here to meet a friend for drinks. The restaurant is split between 2 levels and we met up downstairs. The bartender was very friendly and was able to get our orders in right away. Note that this is a CASH BAR ONLY!“
“My experience at this place with my father was great there was no wait time to be siting. The waitress was very friendly and was awesome taking our order. The food was amazing I had the steak tips and my father had the salmon bowl with a salad. The lemonade was delicious and my father love his Irish margarita I believe what it was.“
“Delicious! Hadn’t been in person since pre-COVID and finally made it out to Branchline tonight. I didn’t realize how much I missed the chicken until I had it again tonight. The sides were amazing and service great, too. Will be back again soon. Thanks, Branchline!“
“I have gone to countless amounts of restaurants in my life but this one tops every single one combined. The service is immaculate from the servers to the bartenders and the food is outstanding. I’ve never gotten a better cocktail than some of the ones Brandon and Alex have made for me. I would never go anywhere else when I’m in Winthrop. 10000/10 is my score for this place every time. Go here.“
“The cocktail menu had some very interesting selections! We got the vegetable tower, gnocchi and scallops. Service was great and the food very well done. We found this as we were staying overnight close to BOS for an early morning flight. The bartender was very genuine and took care to make an amazing cocktail!“
“My bartender this night was Zack. He was intuitive and an informative bartender who brings atmosphere to those around him. The decor is colorful and inviting. Modern lighting, not to bright, but not too dark. Almost a space like atmosphere. Clean, tidy and top notch. The menu is inviting with many choices. Appetizers, meals and even desert...try the Ruben it is mouth watering! Also if Damian is working the kitchen that night your going to end up with the most flavorful meal. He is a master of his skills. I highly recommend the food, drinks and atmosphere.“
“This place is amazing! They serve some of the best food, they're super helpful and friendly, and it's in a great location. We tried Valdosta Famous Bolognese, Vegetable Tower, and Chicken Dijonnaise, and we absolutely loved everything. I'm totally gonna recommend this place! ??“
“Nice atmosphere for dancing but facilities could use improvement. Need heavy-duty and more coat racks. The ones we put our coats on collapsed and it was a nightmare finding our belongings. Also, the sink water pressure could use some help. See video above.Btw for the people looking at the food pictures, thinking this is still a restaurant, it’s not anymore and is an event space, just a heads up.“
“Definitely on the fence for 5 v. 4 stars. It a great space with lots of interesting decor, and the upper floor has a great vibe ...get up there if possible. Service was good; expected for a slow evening. Vibe is nice...not too much TV or music pervading, yet not lacking in some liveliness either...nice touch. Host was great and re-seated to better spot (chairs not stools) was easy. The standard menu (no specials that night) had scallops which were super! Cooked perfectly with the broc rabe also perfect on the side. The risotto, possibly from another school of risotto-thought, was not so. Just OK and seeming under cooked a bit and underwhelming... some umami or like influence would be good/needed. Duck dish was nice...but, they asked if medium rare is OK which it is! and should be. It was a precut set portion of tiny fillets which is great ( tho Im a fan of on the bone or "whole" fillet). What came up was nearly raw in the middle...yes, I definitely could have sent it back, but i"m lazy I guess and wanted to start eating together. Note to chef: a thin/medium size line of pink is good but a big old bunch is not. Note I eat rare /medium rare everything including lamb and port, but this was 'too much'...again my fault for not sending back, but.... Asparagus side was done very well...not under/over cooked. I'll be back!“
“Excellent dinner at Tryst restaurant last night. The shrimp taco and kale and Brussel beet salad were delicious. We both got the burger and it is amazing cooked to perfection good size 8 ounce burger with delicious french fries.we always sit on the bar side either at the bar on the high top, Great ambience drinks and bartenders Chuck and Denise“
“This place is, well, a tavern! But don't let that fool you, the food here is amazing quality, well seasoned, and delicious!Everything was great, no complaints here, would come back over and over again for their southern fried chicken & honey mustard salad. So good!!!“
“Talk about a convenient location. This happened to be next to our train station.Admittedly I hadn't noticed the night before that this was within walking distance from our hotel, too, and wow, there is so much going on at Hub Hall. So, first thing's first - this appears to next to some shops, maybe a mall, and a concert venue. Moreover, the hall itself has a load of eateries, including bars and even a Mike's Pastry that takes cards. Now if you know the original Mike's, you know that they're cash only and that the line is ridiculous, so this was a serendipitous find. Seriously speaking, we had some drinks and sweets there. My only regret is I didn't have enough stomach to go to their restaurant Momosan, a restaurant whose version in Miami I just adore.“
“Excellent place to drop in real quick and refuel. The chicken sammich is huge! My crew got burgers and I got the banh mi BBQ pork. It was delicious. The place was super busy and near capacity when we stopped in for an early din din. The food came out as it was ready all hot and steamy. We also got the fried pickles and buffalo tenders. Everything was yummmyyy...if we are in reading again, we will def be hitting this place up. The bar is also really cool, with a bunch of great local beers to choose from.Parking: The parking lot is a bit tight if they are busy, but it's manageable as there is on street parking as well.“
“Yesterday afternoon (12/30/23), my friends I were welcomed right away by the very friendly and fun regulars and Ray who was tending bar. Within 10 minutes we felt like family and after a couple of hours, singing, dancing and bonding, they asked us to come back every weekend...and we wish we could!. We will definitely be back though! This is an immaculately well run, cozy, warm, perfect spot to hang out and have a few drinks. (Impeccably clean restroom as well!) Hidden gem 100%.“
“110 Grill is pretty good! Interesting menu and drink options. Great staff and atmosphere. My only gripe is that it's a bit on the expensive side for what you get, considering nothing really wowed me. But as far as chain restaurants go it was a pleasant experience.“
“Tonight we had the most amazing meal at Bambara. We were warmly greeted by our waiter Andres. He was a perfect example of what an excellent waiter should be, friendly and attentive. Next our food, it was delicious. My husband ordered the clam chowder soup which he thought was excellent, but his main dish was the scallops on top of farro risotto with butter squash was a 5 star dish! My order the salmon with crispy Brussels sprouts on a tahini sauce was wonderful too. We both highly recommend this restaurant. Not to be missed if you are in the Cambridge area.“
“MINI BOSTON! No, really, it could get quite overwhelming& confusing if you're a woman and/or a less-than-confident driver (I'm sure there are statistics regarding male vs female drivers, ie their lack of skill, perception, confidence in general with driving, and I'm a woman whom this applies to). Gorgeous buildings though, inside & out. Got a very mall kind of feel at the building/location I entered on foot, but like the quiet, calm alleys of a mall, where there isn't much foot traffic, and it's peaceful.“
“Came for supper. Very relaxed yet attentive. Drinks were very good. Elote Corn (so good!!), Malaysian Style Chicken Wings (mild and well cooked), Swordfish Tacos (nice pieces of fish and flavorful aioli), Oysters on the half (cold, clean, briney, yum), Nonna's Meatballs (nice sized meatballs good marinara) and a hot Lobster Roll (big pieces of lobster filled a well toasted brioche). Beautiful open views. Highly recommended!!“
“Rolly's Tavern is a great place for lunch and/or dinner. been there a few times. However, this review is in regards to their catering. They recently catered a small party for our family and their service and food was exceptional. They know what they're doing, they do what they say, and were really easy going to work with. They know how your special event can be. We will certainly recommend to any of our friends and family looking to have a catered event. Thank you again Rolly's for making it a special night for our family!“
“Pleasantly surprised. We got a server who I think had been characterized as awkward in another review. But I found him to be just fine and pretty normal. Good cocktail. Blackened Salmon was pretty delicious. So we're the patates bravas.“
“We absolutely loved this place! Came in on a rainy Wednesday night before a show - the place was nearly empty, which gave us a little pause, but we were hungry and had a deadline and we were seated immediately so that was great. I’m sure their attendance was t helped by the weather nor the construction right outside their back door. The server (only one there at the time) was lovely and personable, and while she told us she’d just started there she went out of her way to get whatever information we needed and was prompt and attentive throughout;m. The first thing that really surprised us was when my daughter ordered lemonade, which was met without a blink, and when our server brought the lemonade she said “I hope it’s ok, we don’t have lemonade so I made it for you.” We ended up all trying it and it was so good that four of the six of us end up ordering it!The next surprise was a nice little courtesy, when my wife and I ordered a Guinness to split and they brought it already in two small glasses - nice touch. The biggest nice surprise was the food, which we all agreed was very good… but the fish and chips was legitimately some of the best I’ve ever had - big chunks of fish with a light but flavorful batter, not the thick bready coating that sometimes masks lower-quality fish (we later learned that the owner gets all of his fish fresh every day from a local guy in Gloucester). It was also served both with a lovely tartar sauce and a curry sauce that my wife could not stay away from. And unlike one of the other reviewers we all found their fries to be fantastic (to the point where I got to eat fewer of mine than I wanted because the vultures kept swooping in).The final surprise was the manager coming out to show and describe some of the artisanal sodas they have to one of our folks. We had a lovely conversation with him in which he told us that they had only really been in business for a few months and were just getting their feet under them. They all seemed very lovely and appreciative of our patronage… while the level of service and attention might not be scalable in a full-house situation, everything was good enough that we will absolutely go back and encourage all our friends to do the same. This is a great new, local-owned establishment that is trying to honor the history of Harvard Square and its businesses and keep it from becoming entirely dominated by chains. Absolutely recommend!!“
“Stopped at the airport in on my way to Portugal and ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chip are off the charts excellent. My friend ordered a steak and tried what I ordered and was distraught lol. Server was excellent. So glad I stopped in for this dish!“
“We were visiting Boston from Maine. I have multiple food allergies and struggle to eat out at restaurants. Burtons Grill and Bar's website was incredibly helpful and easy to navigate. The food was great! and I didn't need to use my epinephrine pen! I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone with allergies!Dietary restrictions: Shellfish, mango, gluten, and soy free.“
“Went on a date to Rasa String Quartet by Candlelight at First Church of Cambridge and stopped by Nubar for a meal and drink beforehand. I had the Hunter's chicken, which was juicy and tender and delicious, and my date had the Strip Steak Aux Poivre, which she said was good but a little salty. I also had the Ward 888 drink, which was so good- if you like bourbon with some good fruit juices this is a delicious drink. The server/bartender was great. He was friendly, helpful, and on top of things without being overbearing. They are pricey but it's well worth it.“
“As always the first thing I look for at any restaurant is if they bring you water when you sit. Well here they did and she even brought two cups with straws and lids for the kids so they pay attention to that.Everyone in the party loved their food. I had eaten a late lunch so I was too full to order dinner but everything did look good and I do wish I could have ordered food to try. Maybe next time. I only got a dessert to try. The apple crisp, which was ok but a little dry for me. When I ate it with the ice cream it comes with it was a lot better. But when I finished the ice cream I couldn't finish the apple crisp.I also ordered a tea and asked for some Splenda and she forgot the Splenda and when I asked again she just brought me a couple of packs and I had to use my knife to stir. So not a perfect experience with that .All in all, a nice place, not the best dessert, but I will be getting some food next time.“
“This is for their pizza and the baked stuffed scrod only. Where do I get the pizza now that Companions closed?????????Kid-friendliness: I didn't mean kid friendly. I wanted to say the waitresses were slow n I had to leave my table to get them. Tables were sticky“
“The Abbey is one of those places you can order anything on the menu and be blown away. The Chef clearly has a skill for building a menu; they have the classics done extraordinary to rope you in and build that trust, and then you can go for the more adventurous stuff knowing that if its on this menu, its fricking good.“
“Great experience! Great food!!! The food was delicious. I got the chicken caprese and it was outstanding. Then got the key lime pie dessert delivered in a mug. The waiter was very nice we sat there for 2 hours and they were totally fine with that. Clean bathroom. Clean restaurant.“
“Have been here twice for dinner and happy both times with the food - both the menu and the quality. It’s a loud atmosphere - so much it was difficult to have a table conversation for most of our time. The bar is right next to the tables and the crowd noise just bounces off the ceilings.Menu selections are great - some steak, chicken and lots of fish options. Often paired with rice, pasta and a flavorful veggie. Food comes out remarkably quick and hot.Service was a little slow otherwise but I will definitely come back.“
