“Stephanie was an exceptional bartender—easily one of the best servers we've ever had. She was incredibly knowledgeable about gluten-free options, which made a huge difference for us. Her attention to detail was impressive, from promptly changing out silverware between courses to keeping our drinks filled without us ever needing to ask. The food was outstanding! The carpaccio was the best we’ve had, and the gluten-free s’mores dessert was absolutely delicious—a perfect ending to the meal. The atmosphere had a great vibe with stunning views, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!“

“My adult daughters and I stayed down the street for a week so were able to visit The back eddy a couple of times. The food and service were great. The second time I really wanted a lobster so spent the $45!! However, for that price I’m surprised they can’t throw in fries and coleslaw!!! Ridiculous“

“We were here visiting and found this little place outside Newport and it was amazing! We had two lobsters and steamers the servers were great. It's very laid-back fun atmosphere.!! Definitely five stars!!“

“This is a great place to grab a drink and listen to live music. Not a place I would grab food again. I’ve given it a couple of tries and the food both times has taken a long time to come out. First time we had a large group (place was empty) but we decided to give it another try recently. We didn’t have elaborate meals - 3 meals for takeout. Salad, chicken and chips, and grilled tenders and cucumber salad. My allergy free salad had a crouton in it the first time I ate there and the chicken has dark black grill marks. The second time I ordered it with the house dressing and beef tips - it was told to me it was gluten and dairy free. Once I got the salad home, I realized they had packed blue cheese instead. The beef tips on it were terrible as well. The manager/owner comes out to discuss allergens but it doesn’t appear that anyone checks the orders like at other restaurants I have been to. I’m aware it’s always a risk going out but that shows they didn’t put attention to my gluten allergy free order either time. The cucumber salad was soggy and disgusting, not prepared that day. It’s an awesome place to check out for a drink and music but the food (at least options we selected) were not great regardless of the allergy vs non allergy items. Definitely check out for a drink and the music, great atmosphere for that.“

“Absolutely adore The Sail Loft. The restaurant is full of natural light and a harbor view. Clean, airy, serene. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional. The management team and owners are visible and greet us whenever they see us. The food is outstanding. My significant other and I always go with a ceasar salad, with house made croutons, lemon dressing and crispy chicken. It hits the spot everytime. We've also had the brownie sundae - our little guilty pleasure. We have been three times and each time everything has been top notch. The surrounding shops are also darling and worth a visit. Highly recommend Sail Loft.“

“Oh my goodness, we had the BEST experience at this restaurant. The restaurant has a comfortable, family like feel. You can tell most of the people are regulars. The food was excellent seafood, fresh and well prepared. Each dish our large group got was thoroughly enjoyed. But, the BEST part of the experience was our waitress, Joyelle. She was the only waitress in the room, which she took control of with ease, and she was so funny. My dad's a jokester, and she gave it right back. We had a lot of fun and we laughed and laughed. She took great care of us. So, couple divine food with an amazing personality taking care of us - you get perfection.“

“I loved everything at Barcellos! I went last night to have dinner with a friend. I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo, it was delicious. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted and made to feel genuinely welcome. The service was supreme and the food was perfection. I definitely recommend checking it out. “We went in to celebrate my Birthday. Janelle, the manager, greeted us, as soon as we were seated. The meals that we had, exceeded our expectations. Remains, our favorite place. Our server, Savannah, accompanied by her Trainee, Ella, were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient.“

“Just excellent really..the same as it's been since the 70s! The stuffed shells were cooked to a perfect al dente, with plenty of their delicious tomato sauce...and the garlic bread was perfect too. I didn't have pizza this time but it's also excellent!“
