“My adult daughters and I stayed down the street for a week so were able to visit The back eddy a couple of times. The food and service were great. The second time I really wanted a lobster so spent the $45!! However, for that price I’m surprised they can’t throw in fries and coleslaw!!! Ridiculous“

Seafood chowder, Quahog chowder, Shrimp tacos, seafood enchilada, lobster rolls (some with butter and some with mayo), Indian pudding and key lime pie for dessert. EVERYTHING was delicious. The service was awesome and we loved all the food and the comfortable casual atmosphere.“

My first time having their food I had no clue how good it was going to be, the flavor was incredible and the food was freshly prepared and properly cooked!! The place is clean, and the staff are very friendly and kind and hardworking people! They make all their food cooked to order and guarantee that it is freshly made! “Yesterday my mom, son and I went to eat at the sail loft. The food and service was absolutely amazing. I had ordered a to go dinner for my husband and when I got it home to him, his chicken seemed raw. I called them just to let them know what had happened. They offered to replace the meal and deliver it to us! They were so accommodating and even gave us a gift card to come back. AMAZING service that you don’t always get these days. “This is a great place to grab a drink and listen to live music. Not a place I would grab food again. I’ve given it a couple of tries and the food both times has taken a long time to come out. First time we had a large group (place was empty) but we decided to give it another try recently. We didn’t have elaborate meals - 3 meals for takeout. Salad, chicken and chips, and grilled tenders and cucumber salad. My allergy free salad had a crouton in it the first time I ate there and the chicken has dark black grill marks. The second time I ordered it with the house dressing and beef tips - it was told to me it was gluten and dairy free. Once I got the salad home, I realized they had packed blue cheese instead. The beef tips on it were terrible as well. The manager/owner comes out to discuss allergens but it doesn’t appear that anyone checks the orders like at other restaurants I have been to. I’m aware it’s always a risk going out but that shows they didn’t put attention to my gluten allergy free order either time. The cucumber salad was soggy and disgusting, not prepared that day. It’s an awesome place to check out for a drink and music but the food (at least options we selected) were not great regardless of the allergy vs non allergy items. Definitely check out for a drink and the music, great atmosphere for that.“

“My boyfriend and I order from here almost every week! We love this place so much. I always get the same thing just because it’s that good! The chicken kabob dinner plate the chicken is always so so juicy and flavorful and paired with the rice and onion and peppers so yummy! My boyfriend gets the chicken tender dinner or sometimes he gets a steak and cheese calzone. The service is amazing and the lady is such a sweetheart ! “Oh my goodness, we had the BEST experience at this restaurant. The restaurant has a comfortable, family like feel. You can tell most of the people are regulars. The food was excellent seafood, fresh and well prepared. Each dish our large group got was thoroughly enjoyed. But, the BEST part of the experience was our waitress, Joyelle. She was the only waitress in the room, which she took control of with ease, and she was so funny. My dad's a jokester, and she gave it right back. We had a lot of fun and we laughed and laughed. Our last few visits, although spaced apart by a couple months, we were lucky enough to be waited on by Valerie. No matter how much time passes, she remembers our faces and always makes us feel right at home! Valerie is an exemplary server, who never misses a beat during service and provides the perfect touch of humor, personality, and charm to enhance our experience. Everything about Joe’s is top notch, but the service provided by Valerie truly makes us feel like family every time.“

Today, I truly believe my family and I met an angel.

We had dinner at Mikey B’s in New Bedford, and our server was a young lady named Felicity. I can’t even begin to explain the impact she had on us. In a world where people are always rushing and kindness sometimes feels rare, she was an absolute breath of fresh air.

Her smile, her kindness, her positive energy, and the way she genuinely connected with us made our entire day. What started as a simple meal turned into one of those moments you’ll never forget.

To Felicity’s mom and dad: congratulations. You raised an incredible, respectful, caring, and truly remarkable young woman. You should be incredibly proud.

And to everyone reading this, do yourself a favor. Go grab a meal, enjoy the great food, and if you’re lucky enough to meet Felicity, take a few minutes to have a conversation with her. I promise you’ll leave with a smile on your face and a little more faith in humanity.

God puts people in our path for a reason, and today I’m thankful He put Felicity in ours.
