“My fiancé and I moved to Weymouth a few months ago and one of the first places we went to eat was Johnny Kono's. At first, we were thrown off by how few tables there were, but once we settled in and the food started coming, it has become one of our favorite places to eat. The El Chapo wings are some of the best we've ever had, great spice and flavor with a some acidity to tie it all together. The burgers are incredible, even the Louis lunch burger, which although very simple, always is delicious. They really live up to their claim of being a "Five Star Dive Bar." We're excited to keep coming back and trying more menu items.“

“Went for the first time last night. Really reminded me of the Pubs I frequented while in Ireland. (Served a proper pour of Guinness, not usual for most bars in the area. ). “I have heard people at my workplace talk about how this place is political and they don't feel welcome with the Blue Lives Matter flag, but I have never seen any of the staff be nasty here and for me I don't judge by what others say I judge it by my own experience with the food, service, and the atmosphere. There was one time some guy let his kids take our scratch tickets but it didn't have to do with the restaurant just a couple bad apples in town. “Driving up, my first impression was that the place was closed; the windows were dark and it was difficult to figure out which door was the entrance. The signage was confusing and had two business names including "O'Leary's Pub." We went in and the place was neat and well organized although somewhat dated and a bit worn down and old (sort of like most of the patrons the average age of which was probably 75). There was also an unused stage--damned shame since I love live music. BUT... To me, the food and the service matter the most since that's what we were there for! The server was very friendly and prompt, and we ordered a tuna melt and pot roast--both were delicious! So I'm giving this one 5 stars.“
“Does Joe's really need an introduction? It's been the same small coffee/breakfast joint for like 60 years, there must be a reason. The owners are basically your grandparents, except they can cook better than them. (Even if you don't want to admit it.) They are super friendly and won't hesitate to tell you their story.
