“This is hands down my favorite place in Andover. I have been going there for a couple of years, about once a month, and never been disappointed. Their daily crudo is always exceptional, so are the daily soups (I crave the cheddar soup that they took off the menu a while back). The charcuterie board is another great choice. The ambiance is laid back but chic, the service is impeccable, discreet and efficient. I can't wait to go back.“

The only thing I was not the biggest fan of was the tamale was okay, not enough pork in it and a little mushy. I ended up eating them along with my chips for the perfect crunch. The bed was a 10 firm yet with a down topper which we also bought. They brought us some champagne which was highly unexpected. The red stone literally 25 ft from the entrance was off the charts. The food was excellent - much better than expected and I thought it was better than Po**aris in Woburn. This is a small, unassuming place but definitely worth a visit. I had the Chicken Parm and others had veal, seafood medley and another chicken dish. All of us were pleased with the meals, portions and price. 6 meals, 9 adult beverages, espresso / cappachino / coffee was just under $350 that included a 20% gratuity.“

Jimmy and the waitresses make you feel right at home and treat you like family. This place is no frills and has a super relaxed, small town bar vibe. The cocktails are great and reasonably priced and they have a wide selection of beers on tap. Culpeppers has quickly become our go-to spot for watching games, relaxed date nights, or a much needed midweek pick me up.“

What I appreciated which may have been a minor gesture for the staff was that they offered complimentary bread to take home with my food. The service was very friendly (they had a really beautiful, nice girl tending the bar so I'm partial) and although it reminded me of a similar style bar in Everett down the street that pissed me off (I'm not naming names) it was much quieter and seemed to cater to the younger crowd rather than just in your face townies with their whiskey and cigarette breath. I would return and seeing as I can walk there from my house I will do so soon.“
