“Bocadillos catered my daughter's college graduation party in our home. The food dictated the theme! Year after year, my daughter has followed their "Empanda Truck" at the Snow Port in Boston. Last winter, she insisted that I go too, just so I could taste the empanadas. They were absolutely mouth wateringly delicious!!!! So much so that when it came time to choose who would cater her grad party, the choice was easy! Since Carribean/Latin American food was the menu, we complimented it by hosting a full blown Fiesta with a margarita bar and more for 40 people! We had the food prepared in advance and everything was delicious and piping hot! Our host/chef added to the fastivities with his knowledge of the food, his kindness, and his sense of humor. The cost was very reasonable as well. WARNING: Once you have these empanadas, you will never be able to eat anyone elses again.

Vegetarian options: My favorite empanada is vegetarian!!! And I'm not a vegetarian. My favorite is the corn & cheese, and my second favorite is the black bean.“

The ingredients were well distributed throughout, the dough was absolutely delicious and everything was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is wonderfully intimate and refreshingly quiet, do not expect a large space or many tables, but do expect a warm and inviting setting that makes every visit feel special. The menu is thoughtfully curated and the portions are perfectly sized. Do not expect oversized plates. expect perfectly crafted dishes that are completely satisfying. We ordered several and every single one was an absolute standout.

“Took my wife for her birthday, along with our daughter. Having been to Peru before and really enjoyed the flavors, we were excited to try this out. And the food certainly didn't disappoint. All of the dishes were very flavorful, including both the mango shrimp ceviche AND the vegetarian ceviche (which was something we didn't get in Peru!). The Causa reminded us of our time in Peru, and both the Peruvian Chinese eggplant and the cilantro lamb stew were very good. The former was a bit milder than we expected, but still delicious, while the latter was superbly seasoned with lamb that melts in your mouth. On the drinks side, we had a passionfruit sour, and the Chica sour and both were delicious. The dessert was their fruit mousse which was also excellent. We were seated outside as it was a nice summer's day, so I can't vouch for the interior. The service was good, though it did seem that one of the waiters wasn't particularly thrilled (either about serving us, or in general). The one who took our orders though, was polite and detailed and pointed out the vegetarian options for my wife and daughter. Keep in mind that this is NOT an inexpensive place. The items range from $17 for an appetizer to the high 30's for the main courses. But for someone craving for something different or just very flavorful food in general, this would be a great choice. I can see why this shows up on many of the lists for best new spots in the city. Highly recommended!“

You want earn more money by having people pay a $40 cover but maybe have people that are inside already pay like a $10 cover to be able to stay and NOT have to wait in line.“

“I ordered my daughters 6th birthday cake from La Casa Del Pandebono and it literally the best experience I’ve ever had with any business. Not only was the custom cake beautiful and delicious, they provided a level of exceptional customer service that I didn’t even know existed. The “Tangled” cake included a beautiful edible gold crown as it’s center piece, and it was packaged separately. Despite my best efforts to handle it carefully, I accidentally broke it the night before the birthday party. I texted the owner asking if he has recommendations for me to reassemble it (knowing it was unlikely, but I was desperate). He immediately responded and asked for my address, letting me know he’d deliver a new one when he closed the store (I live in another town). I was shocked at his generosity and beyond grateful. As an expression of gratitude, a sent him an additional tip which he politely attempted to reject (I wouldn’t allow it…haha). In return, he delivered not only the grown, but an order of birria tacos and an empanada (which I was admiring when I went to pick up the cake) - literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. I cannot emphasize how touched I was by this experience. La Casa Del Pandebono is a rare gem - baked goods that are truly a work of art, and incredible food that is only surpassed by the unbelievable customer service. I will be a customer for life.“

“I am not the person to be writing or giving an opinion on anything in any store but they never arrive. I write this not to offend or anything. I write it in a way so that they are aware and do not steal. For you, .15 cents is nothing, nor for me, but for someone else it may mean something.

My experience and what is happening with this business. They cook very delicious, I am clear about that, the flavor in the food is very good. The problem is that the first time I asked for the receipt and with itemized prices and I see that they charge me .15 for the bag, I said, that's fine because I need it and in some places they charge it. Came in for breakfast this past weekend. Out of all the Mexican and South American spots on Broadway, this probably isn’t the one most people go for, but it was one of the few open for a full breakfast service. Most of the locals were grabbing things off the hot food display, but we went with the carne asada plate and the huevos con chorizo.

Everything came grilled to order, tortillas included. The steak and the chorizo scrambled eggs were both just decent and about the quality you’d expect from a basic neighborhood spot. What we liked most was the Mexican rice. They were working a huge pot in the kitchen with what was basically a shovel, and the rice came out loaded with all that broth and tomato flavor cooked into it.

Worth a stop if you want an early savory breakfast that fills you up.“

Below is the bowl I ordered minus a bite. For 20+ dollars for a bowl I do not expect to be served onion butts as seen in my photo. The garbanzo beans weren’t seasoned or marinated, the lime vinaigrette while nice was barely present. The quinoa, chicken, avocado were all very fresh and tasted great. The salsa was pretty good. Overall I was disappointed by the serving size, lack of flavor, and lack of attention to detail by serving the butt of an onion. Their customer service was great and I enjoyed the ambiance so I would give it another try but I am hesitant to return just because of the lack of value compared to other places that serve bowls.“
