“This specific location was by far my favorite experience EVER! The staff was smiling from the moment my son and I walked into the building. We were greeted with positive attitudes, and taken care of as if we were the only customers there. Which by the way, the shop filled up immediately during a lunch rush and the vibe stayed 100% perfect. Richard went out of his way to show how easy it is to spread joy! I was super impressed with the fresh food and the joy that my son and I both received while watching this particular staff work! Thank you so much for making our day SUPER!!! “This place rocks. The person who took my order was so nice, and the place smells great, is comfortable and clean. Our takeout for breakfast (pancakes and bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagel) was delicious and satisfying, and the bagel was great (way better than I expect for a bagel from a place that's not focused on them).

Nice soft roll ,steak NOT chopped to oblivious gravel like other shops. This spot IS the spot for a steak and cheese . I'm gonna go back and try all the ol standards again done right. Kudos. Can't wait to try a simple hit dog. Believe it or not, people screw that up . But according to the reviews I've seen, they're done just right. “What a great hole in the wall spot!! Went here on a whim and I was NOT disappointed. $7.50 is really reasonable especially in Boston for a good banh mi! Tons of customers while I ate, which is a huge good sign. Service was super fast, bread was crisp and the pickled veggies were delicious. I liked that you can customize how much of each ingredient is in your sandwich. I got the pork belly banh mi, there were some chewy bits (fat, maybe?) I picked out- regardless, overall delicious. The shrimp rolls with peanut sauce are also amazing! I do wish more bottled drink options were available, but the sandwich was my main focus for the visit. Will be coming back again for an affordable and delicious meal :)“

“Review: A Confusing Experience on a Rainy Day

On a rainy day, I recently visited a local place called "Toasted Flats" with high hopes for a cozy meal, a warm drink, and a bit of respite from the dreary weather. While the coffee I ordered was soothing, my experience quickly became puzzling and frustrating.

I had ordered a toasted flatbread, something I was really looking forward to. However, to my surprise, the woman serving me informed me that I wasn’t allowed to eat my flatbread. I could drink my coffee, but apparently, eating my meal was not permitted. She mentioned that the establishment had been open for eight years, which made me wonder how a place could be licensed to sell food but somehow not allow customers to eat it.

At first I thought she was joking with me, quickly realized she was not.

The whole situation left me confused, as it seemed like a bizarre, contradictory policy. How can a place sell food, but then restrict your ability to consume it? It felt like a strange contradiction.

While I can appreciate a business's need for rules and regulations and licensing, this experience left me scratching my head. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon, and it certainly didn't leave me with the warm, welcoming feeling that a rainy day meal should. Maybe next time, I'll do more research and find a place that will let me eat my food in peace, rain or shine.“

“I honestly can’t recommend this place anymore. They have a frequent customer punch card which once completed grants you a free sandwich. I went and redeemed my card and purchased 2 bags of chips and a Diet Coke. When I get to work I check my account and he charged me $11.77. I assume he forgot to give me my free sandwich and go back. He then goes on to tell me that the bags of chips are $2.50 each, he charged me another $2.50 because I asked for hot peppers on my sandwich. He then says the 20oz soda is $4.25… I know he arbitrarily made up these prices on the fly as I was obviously a frequent customer and none of this matches up to my previous purchases. If you don’t want people to get a free sandwich don’t have the card.“

Reasonably priced at $13.50 for a large (bigger than a foot long) . Pay attention, they close early (around 3) and stop making hot subs a little before that.“
