“Their mumbo sauce chicken and fried rice reminds me of my childhood. I was born and raised in dc. Grew eating the sweet red mumbo sauce that will stain your fingers. I stumbled upon this place and enjoyed my food. The only thing I would inform you to do is to ask for the mumbo to be added to your chicken and rice if you'd like and to have them add extra.“

“This is the best Chinese takeout we have found in the area - we drive here from Waldorf to pick it up because it really is better than any other place we have found. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata but this is still preferred. My husband loves their General Tso chicken and I'm a big fan of their Egg Foo Young. Portion sizes are large so we always have leftovers! Worth the drive to Manokeek!“

“Best decision I made today was reconnecting to Chinese food again thanks to Eastern!! Not only are the deals and service amazing but the quality and taste of the food is phenomenal not to mention the quantity of the food is just mind blowing. I generally just take it to go so I can't say what the dining in experience is like but I havent had an order messed up or missing from them and it has always been hot and delicious. I typically get the Crab Rangoon also and those are pretty good.“

“The tasty food is one thing BUT one thing which stood out for me is their great customer service. Jane and her other colleague were all smiles, kind and attentive. You can tell they love the job that they do. This is the kind of service you wanna comeback for more. I also appreciate that they're wearing a transparent mouth shield as it looks more neat than a regular mask. They offer free soup and coffee on top of your regular order which is great since it's winter around this time. The trinket I bought wasn't expensive. There's a free parking lot that wasn't too full. The restaurant seems to be run by a dad who both cooks the food and mans the register/phone. His kids were there too (not disruptive or anything though). He seemed to be a dad putting in a lot of work to make ends meet. I hope his restaurant continues to be successful. “I always come eat here on my days when I have to come into the office for work. I’ve been a regular for two years. My recommendation is the kung pao chicken, chicken with broccoli or shrimp with broccoli. The egg rolls and spring rolls are good too. Excellent and always fresh!“

The service is efficient, fast and served hot even if you ordered by telephone, online, or in- person. I’ve been coming here for over ten years and Mae(sp) has been a constant staple here and helps to prepare your order. Perhaps this helps with the consistency of their product.

The atmosphere lacks welcoming. Although clean, there are no inviting pictures or artifacts anywhere. The only pictures are of what seemingly look like faded black/white representations of some of the dishes they serve. This would look so much better colorized. There are no tables anywhere to either sit down at or to acquire menus, condiments, or napkins. You have to ask for these through the plexiglass barrier. Five chairs are aligned against the window/wall for seating while you wait. The only other items within are bubble gum machines and a fan. So, although this atmosphere is not conducive to hanging around, the food more than makes up for everything else it lacks.“

“We usually stop by when we are traveling from out of town. We always get the Hot & Sour Soup which is usually Hot & Spicy great with the fried won tons. They use prepackaged won tons now which are better. The Singapore Noodles are always delicious with plenty of Curry, Shrimp & Chicken. The Pork or Chicken Moo Shu are both very good. You get 4 pancakes so ask for extra pancakes because there is plenty of ingredients. It comes with a pint of rice so very filling and plum sauce! They deliver as well. We usually call in when we are 10 minutes away and pick up right away when we get there. The steak subs are very good as well as the wings. You get the whole wing here not a drumette or the other piece so when it says 3 wings you get 3 whole wings which is 6 pieces plus 3 points at the other places.“
