“I can't speak highly enough about this place. The food is always hot, fresh and ready to pick up when ordered. The service is awesome as our "special orders" have led the owner to know us when we walk in. I would not order chinese food from ANY other restaurant.“

“This is the best Chinese takeout we have found in the area - we drive here from Waldorf to pick it up because it really is better than any other place we have found. The only one that comes close is Hunan Star in La Plata but this is still preferred. My husband loves their General Tso chicken and I'm a big fan of their Egg Foo Young. Portion sizes are large so we always have leftovers! Worth the drive to Manokeek!“

“Our search may finally be over. Today we sampled the cuisine here and were not disappointed. The reviews I have read do not paint a detailed picture, so I figured I’d give you an update.

The restaurant is off of the highway making it convenient on your way to/from work. The parking lot and building are somewhat stashed behind other shops though, slightly confusing.

The service was good, though they still have the glass window and speaker system architecture in place. (Somewhat hard to hear him speak) I suspect a remaining circumstance of COVID.

I ordered the Mongolian beef w/white rice, General Tso’s Chicken w/white rice and the General Tso’s chicken wings w/fried rice. The entree flavors were all delicious and the white rice was average as expected. The chicken wings were small, but I ordered 10 and it actually came with 12. (I suspect to compensate for the size)

The only bad note I have for the food is regarding the “fried rice”. It is in fact a yellow rice, likely steamed, and tossed with bean sprouts and onions. It lacks all flavor, and definitely missed the mark for “fried rice”. I will not be ordering this item again.

Otherwise all three dishes were ready in 15 minutes, and I got a free shrimp egg roll for ordering over a certain amount. (Egg roll was average, needed duck sauce) My total was $42.

“Absolutely one of my favorite spots. I order from them regularly (Cameron Station). The Pork Belly and Sesame Tofu are to die for! the Lamb Dumplings also are very good. The Kale Chaat is excellent, and the Lamb Biryani was spicy. delicious and enough for luch the next day after 3 people ate off of it! Will definitely be checking out their $12 bowls! the Indochen in Old Town was too nice! Lamb Josh Rogan was good but I'll stick to the Biryani or try the Vindaloo next!“

“Good food. The homemade veggie dumplings were also tasty, and the wrappers were not too thick, so I liked them. I love that they use thin noodles for the noodle soup - - so good. It's always helpful to know the types of noodles in a dish. The duck skin was yummy! The gyoza was fried to a nice crisp. The veggie ones were a little spicy and were orangey.. Maybe pumpkin? “The food here is always hot, fresh and delicious. "Mr. Simon," "Ms. Bernice" and "Ms. Season" always provide great customer service especially Simon and Bernice. They are always friendly, polite and professional. This is my favorite carry out in the area!! The Singapore noodles, shrimp egg foo young, steak and cheese, broccoli and garlic sauce, honey wings and chicken with mumbo sauce are all my favorites!

Vegetarian options: The Broccoli with Garlic Sauce is my favorite vegetarian option.“

“Best decision I made today was reconnecting to Chinese food again thanks to Eastern!! Not only are the deals and service amazing but the quality and taste of the food is phenomenal not to mention the quantity of the food is just mind blowing. I went for lunch and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was, I mean spick and span. As I walked up to pick up my food I was greeted with such kindness. “I've lived off of Richmond Hwy my whole 46yrs and have only had good Chinese food from 2 establishments in the area until now! My friend tagged me in her pic and I had to try it on my own. Well she didn't tell a lie! The shrimp fried rice was the BEST EVER!! I couldn't stop thinking about it and went back 3days later..same order but add shrimp egg foo young! Amazing!!! You have to try them!!!“

“I ordered for delivery from their website and was pleasantly surprised. The driver was their own staff and not a third party so that’s a plus. The driver was nice. It took about an hour for delivery which the website did give me a fair warning. The food was hot and fresh. The eggplant with garlic sauce was my favorite. The chicken cashew was good too. The fried rice and lomein were tasty. Nothing was too salty which was good since some places make everything overly salty. Overall, good food and good portions.“

“Placed a delivery order for lunch. Ordered 3 lunch specials; chicken cashew, sesame chicken and beef w/vegetables. So delicious! With the lunch specials you get an egg roll and soup. Ordered 2 egg drop and a hot and sour. The egg rolls were light and tasty, and the soups were just right!

“Growing up in the area this place has been a treat for our family. Good memories here. Years ago, pre-pandemmy when the dining room was open, I used to go here with my pops on occasion. If you get your chicken hot and fresh it's CRISPY and nothing has ever come close to how good it is. The lady who helps you when you pick up a carry-out order is so sweet. Please tip her!! If you like General Tsos but want to branch out, get the sesame beef. It's my favorite dish. Panda Xpress' crab rangoons do not stand a CHANCE against Golden Star's cheese wontons. Thanks for being a staple of my childhood <3 I'm moving out soon and will miss you!“

“We usually stop by when we are traveling from out of town. We always get the Hot & Sour Soup which is usually Hot & Spicy great with the fried won tons. They use prepackaged won tons now which are better. The Singapore Noodles are always delicious with plenty of Curry, Shrimp & Chicken. The Pork or Chicken Moo Shu are both very good. You get 4 pancakes so ask for extra pancakes because there is plenty of ingredients. It comes with a pint of rice so very filling and plum sauce! They deliver as well. We usually call in when we are 10 minutes away and pick up right away when we get there. The steak subs are very good as well as the wings. You get the whole wing here not a drumette or the other piece so when it says 3 wings you get 3 whole wings which is 6 pieces plus 3 points at the other places.“
