“We went for a pre-holiday meal with family and we were all so delighted. The beverages were all great (coffee martini, cucumber spritz, Turkish mule.) we had a couple of appetizers (spinach pie and Turkish pizza with ground lamb), again both delicious. Trying to leave room for the generous servings was difficult; especially since we wanted to try dessert!! The lamb and chicken were both tender and cooked to perfection whether it was on a kebab or in the mixed grill. I won't say much about dessert as we were too full and took it home and enjoyed it the next day. It seems pricey but the food and service are outstanding and the food is heavenly. Enjoy!!“

“We have been to TaiPei Tokyo Cafe several times and have enjoyed the meal and the service from Flora and Kylie. They and the way our food was prepared and served always makes the visit enjoyable. I have tried many items on their menu and never disappointed. We will certainly go back. John“
“I was excited to try this new dumpling spot since I heard it just opened. I tried to make a reservation ahead of time since it was the weekend, but there seemed to be an issue with their system and it wouldn’t go through. So I had to just show up and ended up waiting a long time to get seated.
However, once we got in, the food was actually really good and everything came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. The reservation issue and the wait weren’t great, but the dumplings were tasty enough that I’d go back again.“

“The Chongqing Spicy Chicken is fantastic every time. If you have never had it before this is the place to get it. All of the dishes I've tried are very fresh and aromatic, especially regarding the oils and sauces. It is very apparent that all the ingredients are of good quality. “I love this place for the vibe and the fact that it stays open until 2:00 a.m. is a huge bonus. Sometimes I’m just so hungry late at night and there’s nowhere else open. Weekends are especially fun when other diners get into the karaoke. It creates such a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
On my first visit, our server was named Vicky (or Vicki) she was super sweet, very attentive, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Overall, just a great server!
The food was decent, and I’ll definitely be coming back, mostly for the awesome late-night energy and fun vibe.“

“Came here with a colleague and had the fried oyster appetizer and fried pork chop rice noodle in tomato broth. Both were excellent! Returned the next day with my hubby and had the fried jumbo shrimp appetizer and the beef flank rice noodle in tomato broth. Both were amazing! The name “Shi Miao Dao” or in Chinese “十秒到” means “arrive in 10 seconds”. In both my visits, the dishes indeed did arrive swiftly
, steaming hot and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!!“

“Classic! Went for a quick lunch, but definitely will be back to taste more!
Edit — been back twice now. Really good food. My only suggestion is to get the timing right, because there can be quite a wait, but that speaks to the quality!“

“Stepping into this place felt like I’d been teleported straight into Hong Kong—no plane ticket, no jet lag, just pure dim sum magic. The décor? Authentic down to the teapots. The air buzzes with people chatting in Chinese, which immediately told me: I’d stumbled into the real deal.
The dim sum came out piping hot, the tea never stopped flowing, and the service had that endearing “mom energy” where they ask what you want before you even know yourself. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and dangerously good.
Final verdict: five stars. So good I forgot to take photos—too busy living my best Hong Kong food fantasy right here at home.“

“This is probably of the best Chinese food in a while, I’ve stopped eating Chinese food for years and decided to try this place randomly It’s surprisingly really good I got a simple beef and broccoli. The rice was perfect not mushy not dry nor over seasoned. The beef taste like beef and the broccoli didn’t taste Like broccoli, majority of Chinese food spots! This one is a good spot. In my opinion“

It's actually better than Ledo's . Very fast service. Was ready in 15 minutes. The staff is very courteous and just a wonderful family run place pick up food from. Give them a try they are really Great Americans as well!!“

“This restaurant has been in business for many years, which proves the quality of the food is very good. I always take my grandmother here to eat because they have many vegetarian dishes. The interior and atmosphere aren't very appealing, but be polite because all the staff are elderly.“

“Since discovering this local restaurant a few months ago, I've ordered from here around a dozen times. This is partly due to the fact that my partner considers the moo shu chicken at this place the best she's had. I have liked everything I've tried thus far. And the prices can't be beat.“

“I ordered beef hofun and personally found the taste quite good. However, what I really like is their hofun. I've tried hofun at many places, and this restaurant's hifun are not sticky. The flavor is mild for me, but I think it's a bit strong. After all, everyone has different taste preferences. Overall, I think it's pretty good.“

“Returning after 30 years, I was amazed to find the same owners at Peking Chef. While the world outside has transformed, the heart of this place hasn't changed. They still serve food made with integrity and warmth.
It’s especially commendable in today's economy. Despite rampant inflation, they haven't compromised on what matters: fresh, high-quality ingredients (and no MSG!), generous portions, and incredibly fair prices. The food is as delicious as I remember.
My visit was a perfect blend of nostalgia and a truly great meal. Thank you for the consistency and excellence.“

“This is a takeout place. I ordered delivery, which was expensive. With delivery fee, convenience fee, tax, and tip, the cost was more than double for the food.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I ordered two lunches. You get a choice of appetizers. The wonton soup is much tastier than at most restaurants. The egg roll was pretty good.
I ordered shrimp with vegetables, which comes in a white sauce. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were crisp. For under $3 extra, you can get plain lo mein instead of rice. It was tasty.
I also ordered Szechuan pork. It's supposed to be spicy. I found it mildly spicy. It comes with broccoli, carrots, and onions. They give you plenty of pork, and the sauce has a nice flavor.
I will get their food again, but not with delivery.“

“First off, the waitress was so kind and attentive! Also, the portions are huge; the photo doesn’t even do it justice! I had the pork pan fried dumplings which were some of the best I’ve ever had and the Sichuan beef noodle soup which was good, but nothing spectacular. The broth was super flavorful but the noodles and beef itself were quite average. I probably won’t return for the soups, just out of personal preference towards bigger noodles, but the dumplings were delicious!“

“First-time customer- I got steamed pork dumplings and hot crispy chicken. The dumplings and sauce were so delicious that I ate all of them before eating my entree (which was good also!) The fortune cookie was still warm-- they must make it themselves! Comparing to other Chinese restaurants, the prices were great.“

“We visited this spot for lunch or dinner while working around the Wharton area. Since moving to Philly, we make it a point to return every year for lunch. Their Watercrest Stir Fry is a must-try, thanks to its tempting garlic aroma and crunchy Watercress. We particularly enjoy their deep-fried Silver Fish and Pork Chop—absolutely tasty. The pork intestines are also outstanding. If you love authentic cuisine, this is a place you should definitely visit.“

“Our go to affordable Chinese takeout. They don’t skimp on the food and always fill it to the brim. We always order their pork fried rice, chefs delight, and fried dumplings.
This time we ordered their crispy beef and salt & pepper fish.
Crispy beef - It is thinly sliced and the beef is dry. However, we like to order it because of the crunchy texture and the sweet and spicy flavor.
Salt & pepper fish- Well fried and not oily. It has a very good mild jalapeño flavor.
My interaction with the lady has always been congenial on the phone and in-person. I’ve“

“Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Crab rangoons were a bit sweet but very enjoyable. Highly recommend the happy family dish if you have trouble making decisions since it comes with a variety of meats. Also the mixed vegetables with the veggie lo mein was a big hit with my parents. All in all good food and great service. Very quick and friendly staff.“

“Rating vegetarian food - not sure about anything else.
They have a good selection, and the vegetables seem fresh.
I like to make sure there is no meat/ chicken/ or fish, broth, or otherwise, in the sauce (restaurants don't always think of that), so you'll want to ask if needed. I hope they don't have any chicken or meat broth in the vegetable dishes!
The vegetarian sushi is yummy, made to order.“

“They were pretty fast w my food, probably only 15-20 mins. I ordered an egg drop soup and 3 orders of 3 wings w fries. The food were really good, a pretty clean place. Good customer service. Plus my daughter knew one of the kids working there. Great place. I would recommend it for any people who loves Chinese food or trying it!“
“Asia Cafe serves delicious Chinese and Maylasian food. Ingredients are fresh and tasty, sauces are delicious. We like the vegetables included with the meat/fish & vegetables dishes, lots of them, all the regulars plus zucchini and other unusual choices. Their hot & sour soup, a bellwether for us is quite good. Prices are low end. The store is a mess. It’s really a takeout operation.“
“We arrived at 11am on a weekend and there was no line outside the restaurant. The restaurant was quite comfortable and they did not have a lot of ‘dimsum kart’ in the restaurant so it might take some time for you to get the food. The selection of food was of a limited range - which was quite disappointing. The quality of food was fine - not the best dimsum but fair enough. The price was also quite cheap compared to the other similar restaurants in the region.“

“Had a delicious lunch today from Lee’s! The Hot and Sour soup was delicious (I like mushrooms in it but understand that each chef customizes their recipe). The Szechuan Beef combo was spicy, but not too spicy. Came with a yummy egg roll! It’s been a while since I stopped by and I’m glad that I did.“

“I have nothing but good things to say about Gourmet Asian Bistro (7224 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). It offers Chinese, Thai, and sushi. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been excellent every time and affordable! The vegetable tofu soup ($2.95) is huge, satisfying, and full of veggies. The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.“

“The Peking Duck and the Seafood with Sizzling Rice Soup are definitely the highlights here. Whenever I crave Peking Duck, this is the place I come to.
