“First and foremost, the food is good. I highly recommend getting the bowl every time. You get the biggest bang out of your buck if you do. I always double the veggies. The carnitas and chicken taste great. They could stand to give people more meat though. One time I only had a scoop of carnitas (shredded pork of sorts). Had to scoop through my bowl to find it.Though idk if other Chipotles are like this, if a customer is ordering something that requires waiting (whether it's more of a certain meat or vegetable that they ran out of), please assist the other people in line. The last time I went, the line didn't move for about 20 minutes. That's my second critique even though the service is typically good. It's almost always busy. In the mornings it's not as bad. I like this place. Definitely one of the better Chipotles in the area“
“Best Mexican food in the area!! Gourmet tastes/vibes for completely reasonable prices. The atmosphere is also awesome, with beautiful lighting, tons of space, and good acoustics for talking.Parking: The parking lot can only hold 6 or so cars, but the large parking lot nearby can hold much more“
“Fun place with great food! You wouldn't think eating ants would work but it does!Get the Gorditas or the ceviche to start and then the tacos. Al pastor and the Chicatanas are outstanding. The ants don't add much flavor. Just a satisfying crunch“
“The food here was delicious!! Such bold flavors, not overbearing, just present in the right amounts. Perfectly balanced and fresh. Dax was our server. Very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. FTI: At the moment there's construction happening that obscures the location a bit. We definitely recommend.“
“My family and I celebrated my sister's birthday at El Aguila this weekend and we had so much fun! The food was delicious and cooked perfectly, the workers were organized and served the food to 64 guests quickly and without any problems. I would recommend El Aguila to those looking to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant has plenty of space for events large or small. Guadalupe really did a great job communicating from the beginning of the reservation to the end. “I ordered the 3 beef tacos (tacos de Birria) that came with a consommé. Amazing. Service was fast and friendly. They are doing some facade changes out front, landlord? My husband had the chicken enchiladas and he really liked them. They give a green sauce with the chips that was very tasty. I would definitely come here again.“
“Although it was mostly empty when we visited on a weekday evening, the venue and convenient location are appealing. Friendly staff and fair prices, what's not to like. Being first time here, and not knowing the regular portions and size of the chicken, we ordered the whole chicken family meal with 3 sides. It was much more than we could handle. The chicken was good. I think he gave us an extra piece (leftover?) and perhaps that's why we had so much. The Brussels Sprouts was the star of the place - sweet and savory, delicious. 5 stars! We changed our mind at the last minute, and decided to eat in. Can't say it's the cold temperature, but the chicken was cold to the touch for some reason. Maybe it was the extra piece we got. Regardless, it's worth a trip, and will visit again when I have a craving for Peruvian cuisine.“
“Oliva's Kitchen: The Go-To Spot for Latin Cuisine Aficionados! ?Oliva's Kitchen stands out as a prime choice for those craving authentic Latin flavors. Chef Emilio consistently knocks it out of the park with dishes that pack a punch in terms of taste and presentation.Top Picks to Try:Carne Asada: Easily one of the tastiest around. The meat is grilled to perfection, oozing with flavors that are rich and satisfying.Blackened Chicken Sandwich: A stellar reinterpretation of a familiar favorite. The blackened spices bring a robust and tantalizing flavor profile.Torta Milanese Sandwich: Hits the mark every time! It’s a hearty choice brimming with taste.“
“I have been a long time customer of the truck but live in Kensington, and am thrilled they have opened! Their food is always amazing, they never disappoint!Vegetarian options: My favorite vegetarian option is the mushroom tacos! Soooooo good! ?“
“Consistently fantastic! This Latin restaurant never disappoints with its delicious and authentic cuisine. From mouthwatering empanadas to flavorful arroz con pollo, every dish is a winner. The ambiance is inviting, the service is excellent, and the flavors always hit the spot. A must-visit for any food lover! 15+ years and still DELICIOUS“
“Stopped in on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. We ordered chicken flautas and a quesabirria. The food was incredibly delicious and now I have three flautas left for lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu!“
“Authentic Mexican food, but small portions for the price. Came to taqueria habanero with some friends because we've been looking for good, authentic Mexican food in DC. Surprisingly, it's been more difficult to find than we thought! I ordered the huarache with steak and I also shared the guac and chips with my table. I was excited to see huaraches on the menu because it's not available everywhere. When my plate came, it looked and tasted delicious, but I felt that the portion was quite small for $15. I know Mexican food in DC is pricy either way, but where I'm from, I would be able to get a huarache triple the size for the same price. I also am someone who gets full pretty easily, but this meal did not fill me up. Still looking for my go-to spot in DC and this is definitely a contender, but the portion size really is a factor for me.“
“Nicest staff here and the food was incredible!!!I’m from California where the MEXICAN FOOD IS FOR REAL. And this is THE ONLY PLACE AS GOOD AS CALI MEX!!!! I’ve been to like 20 Mexican spots and been disappointed every time mumbling after “Not as good as Cali but still love Mexican so it’s ok.”Not here!THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! Best Mexican in the area hands downnnnnnnnnnn~~~~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~~“
“Always a treat to come to this place, the food is always excellent as well as their service.Parking: A bit of an issue turning coming from north of 355 uou may have to make a u turn during rush hour, but coming from south 355 its easyWheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible.“
“Solid food really good quesadillas. The wait was not too bad after ordering, only about 15 minutes. Very friendly and kind. The truck is located by a gas station with plenty of parking which is nice. The truck has cool lights and the menu is on the truck and on little paper sheets by the window.“
“Great food! A little pricy... But there's a reason why it gets so busy. Not only do they have tamale de elote, but you can get it fried and it tastes amazing! Love the plantains. The grilled meats are flavorful. And the taco salad comes in a really yummy edible bowl ?“
“The food at this place is out of this world and probably one of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. The service was impeccable. Our server Flora could not be more attentive and sweet. We will definitively come back next time we visit our son in college.“
“This place is a little hard to find but definitely worth the effort. Great Mexican food and fantastic service. The servings are huge, I think the queso dip could serve 8 people. Margaritas were okay but beers from the giant cooler of beer were cold and refreshing.“
“Great portion size, definitely worth the price. We got a burrito bowl and one of each of the meat tacos, both with all the toppings. I would say my favorite taco was the Suadero (shredded beef rib), followed by the Steak and the Chorizo. The only one I didn't like that much was the Lengua (beef tongue), so for me it wasn't worth the $2 extra. They were very generous with the amount of toppings but it ended up causing a bit of overflow and was pretty messy to eat. We will definitely come back but will be more selective on the topping choices.I wasn't expecting or requiring much service, but I felt the guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful. He let us know what everything was and what toppings they had. He also offered us bottles of the different salsas they had.Happy to have been recommended this place, and can now recommend it to others.“
“The interior decoration is amazing, creating an exotic and lovely dining experience. The waiters were super helpful. We were a bit overwhelmed by the menu, and told him what we’re looking for. All the recommendations we got are amazing!Absolutely love the Mole Bueno - the special Mexican sauce is just yummy! Also love their salsa sauce that goes with the chips - we prob have way too much chips than we should.Caramelized bananas are a very nice touch to end the meal.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Inexpensive, authentic, and delicious Latin American food. The pupusas and tacos are great. There are other things on the menu but I’ve never tried them, because once you’ve tried the pupusas and tacos it’s hard to order anything else.“
“In the hallowed halls of gastronomy,Where tweed-clad scholars gather,Amidst oak-paneled walls and leather-bound books,Lies a secret whispered among the cognoscenti.Behold, the burrito—an enigma wrapped in parchment,A culinary symphony of maize and meat,Its savory notes resonate through ivy-covered quads,As if Hemingway himself had penned its recipe. The tortilla, a golden diploma unfurled,Cradles the treasures within—a calculus of flavors,Black beans, like ancient runes, inscribed with spice,Avocado, the verdant promise of summer's yield. And there, nestled in the folds, the pièce de résistance:Carnitas, slow-cooked to perfection,Their tender confessions echoing across generations,A clandestine rendezvous of taste and tradition. As the clock chimes midnight in the dining hall,We raise our silver forks to this scholarly feast,For the burrito, my dear companions,Is the thesis of sustenance—a dissertation of delight.“
“I've been coming here for what 3? 5? 6 years now? I always get the same thing and it's always perfect. There's one thing can be said for amazing food, it's a completely different thing when talking about amazing consistency. I've never, ever had a steak quesadilla or sangria as amazing as they make them here. It's simple, steak, cheese, and tortilla. It's so simple, but the flavors and taste are simply unmatched. Perfection. Service is just AMAZING. I think the phrase comfort food gets thrown around quite a bit, but I make a point to come 2-4 times a month because as I described to my partner, the food just evokes emotion. Reassurance, acceptance, warmth, winning, and just contentment, when I get a steak quesadilla from Guapos on Wisconsin Ave, I just know whatever is going on in my life, it's going to be okay. The sangria is unmatched. I tried various sangrias around D.C. and this is definitely my number 1. Their Tres Leches cake is also a treat when I'm in the mood for dessert.“
“Great spot for a large party, amazing service and delicious food. Wine by the bottle is very reasonable and cocktails are well made. The sense of humor is delightful as demonstrated with the photo hung in the bathroom in a place that is sore to catch your eye ?“
“Excellent mole- will definitely be back for it. Had the birria tacos which were perfect, fried and crunchy but not greasy- which is incredible given the generous amount of meat and Oaxaca cheese in the tacos. The service was very attentive and kind.“
“This place is good simple Mexican restaurant. It's not expensive but a very good experienceVegetarian options: Beans Burittos rice soup quesadillaDietary restrictions: Accommodation for gluten intoleranceParking: There is ample parking right next to the restaurant“
“We picked this place because we were really hungry and it was close to the route we'd chosen to take north from DC (a less hectic and more scenic alternative to Interstate 95).For once Google reviews didn't fail us -- the raves are spot on. The food is made in house (even salsas, which are good enough to be bottled and sold in upscale stores.) Watching meals being prepared is inspiring; the care taken to assemble each order is impressive. (The guacamole is made fresh for each one.)But it's worth the short wait -- the food is delicious. Our burritos were massive and stuffed not with filler but things you really want to eat. We lived in California for years; it could be the best we've ever eaten. It may be in a gas station but there's a table right there if you want to eat in (as we did) and a clean rest room close by. Who cares about atmo when you're on a long drive?Next time we'll pick the route so we can eat there again!“
“Uno Más is an authentic Mexican Kitchen. The service, food, prices, and hospitality is superb. The food is true, authentic, Mexican cuisine. While the atmosphere is not that of a 5 star restaurant the food, and drinks surely makes up for it all. 10/10 I recommend anyone who love Mexican cuisine to try Uno Más!!“
“I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. Will be returning soon with local family!“
“We love Guapo’s and come here often. Wait times are long but sometimes you get lucky. The drinks and food are delicious. However I had my first bad experience with a waiter this weekend. I paid the bill with my card and was going to leave a cash tip, the lady saw me select “no tip” and told me “tip is not included” …. I know how tipping works and it should never be excepted but appreciated. It left a sour taste. Especially given we always TIP well. Made me not want to leave anything at all. Very unprofessional!“
“The salmon birria tacos are a must try. The accompanying consomé is rich and flavorful. It tastes like homemade seafood stock with a little cream. They could sell that alone with a little shellfish and be straight. I found the tacos to be small, and the salmon was overcooked which was a bummer. But, I like that you can order everything as singles, and I love that they offer consomé without having to order three daggone tacos! I thought the other offerings were just aight, but will return for these. Very warm, kind staff. When you encounter helpful, smiling faces, you feel welcome and appreciated. Thanks ladies.“
“A Mexican restaurant with some surprises. One of us got cajun jambalaya. Not Mexican. Not bad. I wasn't looking for a touch of New Orleans, but they nailed the sauce, with chicken and shrimp cooked just right. Our other dishes were traditional: shrimp fajitas and chicken fajitas. Again properly cooked and seasoned. Plenty of components to add into the tortilla wrapper. We finished with tres leches dessert. Moist and sweet as it was designed. Is 4 stars harsh? I based it on other Mexican restaurants that are on this level. For 5 stars, I needed them to be a cut above.“
“From the moment I stepped into DC Corazon, I knew I was in for a treat. Nestled in the vibrant Petworth neighborhood, this Mexican restaurant is a true culinary gem. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dinners and fun gatherings with friends. The menu, oh the menu! It's a delightful journey through authentic Mexican flavors. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and authenticity. The tacos are a must-try – they're packed with flavor and the tortillas are clearly homemade. And don't get me started on the nachos. Talk. About. Yum.Service at DC Corazon is top-notch. Especially J.R. and Edgar. The staff are not only friendly but also passionate about their cuisine, eager to share recommendations and insights about the dishes. Their warm and welcoming attitude adds to the overall delightful experience. Music is hype and fits the energy perfectly. 10/10 would recommend, bruh!“
“We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Beautiful decoration, which transports us to our countries of origin. Delicious food and first-class service. Denise was very attentive and made very good suggestions.I definitely recommend Restaurante Acajutla and we hope to come again.“
“We have ordered to go a couple of times the service is fast and awesome! The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and how things are prepared! The food is phenomenal! It's so good and there is so much to try! We are definitely going to be long time customers!!!“
“This is a hidden gem! Stopped by for happy hour. The menu offered a good variety of food. The seafood nachos were amazing! Flavorful and cheesy with the right amount of heat. The margarita I ordered was perfect (not too sour, not too sweet). The only downside was the service. It took about 30 minutes to receive my food, in an empty restaurant. When it was time to pay, it took about 30 minutes. After waiting the first 15 minutes, I had to ask the waitress what was the issue. At that time she informed me that their card machine wasn’t working. I waited another 15 minutes for them to continue attempting to troubleshoot. After waiting for so long, I went to an atm to pay them in cash. I would recommend coming here if you don’t have plans afterwards.“
“My experience at Taqueria Habanero Food Truck was a very pleasant surprise. I was invited by a friend who knew the College Park area well, where the restaurant is located. He was participating in an entrepreneurship program at the University of Maryland in the same place where I was carrying out similar activities and took me to try the authentic Mexican food there.Upon arrival, we were greeted with delicious and flavorful tacos that truly captured the essence of Mexican cuisine. As a Brazilian, it was interesting to observe the differences in the way of serving and flavors, and I particularly appreciated the traditional spicy touch of Mexican food. The experience was so good that I would certainly have come back more often if I hadn't been so busy with other activities during my stay in the region.“
“We love the food here. There are many good options although we often go back to same ones because they are so good - Montaditos, Buey al Jerez, patatas bravas, esparragos, chuleta, veiras, to name just a few. With the great choices even the younger members of the family find food they love. And the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We've eaten here for many years and will continue to do so!“
“Taqueria Ajua is one of the few food trucks you'll find in the large parking lot, by the Unique thrift store. You can't miss it, as it's silver in color and is the only one with the long lines! The menu is simple, offering tacos, tortas, quesdillas, burritos, platters, and various specials, such as the birria). We came here for lunch, and we ordered:+a pollo taco - this tasted much better than it looked, but the chicken could have been more flavorful+a carne asada taco - wasn't really a fan of the flavors of the carne asada, as it was bland+birria - comes as a set of 3 or 4; probably one of the best birrias we've had on the east coast! These were crispy, and the filling of the birria was super generous, flavorful, and even heightened when dipping in the consommé +barbacoa de res - comes as a set of 3 or 4; these were generously filled with the shredded beef; definitely better when dipped in the birria's consommé +and, horchata - wasn't a fan of this drink, as it had an off-putting floral note to it; didn't like this rendition of itService was super friendly and welcoming! There's also a table with a handful of chairs if you'd like to enjoy your food; most seem to call ahead or get their orders to go.Definitely would come back for their birria!Plenty of parking in the large lot.+delicious birrias!+friendly service!+plenty of parking“
“This is our third visit to El Azteca. We had a great dining experience each time. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food selection is extensive and delicious. With a reservation they easily accommodated our group of eight. Fantastic margarita selection too!“
“Amazing food , the staff are very friendly and attentive , manager Edith is the best he is always at from checking everything making the customers special , my orders always are correct and food always are very delicious!Thank you Eddy and team!! District taco is the best !!! ?♥️Kid-friendliness: Great staff“
“We were having dinner with friends in Bethesda, but got there early so we decided to stop by this place for a margarita before going to the dinner. We had some spicy skinny margaritas and chips and salsa. Both the margaritas and the chips were great. We cannot speak to the rest of the menu, but will likely come back to try it out.“
“We showed up because we heard alot of good things about this new addition to the old town of Kensington, at adds a little more flavor and spice to the historic area. Very nice staff, smiley, helpful and quick service with a smile! The area has a lot of nice little shops and small walk in places to check out the relaxed atmosphere will lure you in but don't Ben fooled they are BUSY!!!“
“This my Second time there and I must say HANDS DOWNN !!!! The best taco place in Bethesda no one has came close everything was well seasoned and just every bite just magnificent!!! very affordable as well and thanks to the cute guy behind the register he was very nice and “
“This place is great, it has many options and the food is very delicious. I tried the quesabirra this time and I think I prefer they regular tacos instead. Specially their Al pastor and carnita tacos which are very flavorful! But overall their quesabirra was still delicious. The staff is friendly and the environment is very welcoming. I recommend trying this place out and coming back to try multiple things on their menu, because they have a lot of delicious options. Overall I highly recommend.“
“The sauces are yummy & I love that you can still get a high quality fast casual meal in Potomac for under $15. Corn tasted super fresh, steak was cooked perfectly tender. The rice bowls were very filling. I would definitely stop by again.“
“Only negative, really, was that the service was a little slow, but it was Monday. Still, no mistakes on what we ordered and everything came out quickly, hot, or cold as appropriate, and looked nice too.I haven't had enchiladas in years, and gave theirs a shot. Ordered the Cozumel Enchiladas and they were very good. Nicely caramelized cheese on the plate and the beans and rice were also very good. Excellent Mai Tai and a full pour on my beer. This place is large and has a sports bar vibe but the food a drinks are above average so don't worry about getting your money's worth here.10/10 would enchilada again“
“A bigger nicer patio after they renovated it. The indoor spacing is also pretty big and nice. The food was amazing, the cheese quesadilla was really good along with the fajitas which were also awesome. They have the best tortilla chips and salsa I've ever had. The service is always friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, this is your place.“
“I am home sick and just needed something tasty as comfort food. I had been craving nachos and looked up options for delivery. Lo and behold, J & J has nachos that don't break the bank and are tasty. I'm a fan of keeping simple food simple but they managed to do that while making very tasty nachos. It also included three sauces which kicked up the flavor. The delivery arrived super quick and was accurate so 10/10 for service.“
“We just came back from Azucar and had a great meal, great service in a great atmosphere! Carlos was so attentive and pleasant. All the tables were set perfectly and the glasses just shined like diamonds. Everything is so clean and welcoming. We can't wait to go back. We felt so welcomed and like family...what a great meal! Thank you so much!“
