“Authentic Latin American food truck. It looks like your basic gas station taco truck, but it is run by a nice elder lady who does all the cooking and it is FREAKING DELICIOUS! An amazing surprise and consistently good (I've been back to try more things and make sure the repeat food was just as good and it was!). I honestly was shocked by how good it was and brought dinner home for my family the second time. It was also inexpensive, but CASH ONLY! Don't miss that step, cash only, but inexpensive and delicious!!! I would be willing to pay 50% more. And the food itself is delicious. I've had the steak burrito spicy, highly reccomend it, and the chicken quesadilla (also highly reccomend but the burrito is my favorite so far). Note, the photos I've posted are mostly eaten, I couldn't help myself and didn't think about it!“

“The food was absolutely amazing! I had beef fajitas, my aunt had the salmon with a wine sauce, my grandma had the carne assada, and my husband had a beef milanesa. I tried everyone’s food and loved all the plates. The meat was so juicy and tender! I have eaten at numerous latin restaurants over the years and this is definitely on top of my list. We received a tres leches cake for my grandma’s birthday and I can say it was the best one I’ve ever had. Just perfect 😍“

They open at 5 pm but people start living up at 430 pm ish and they are packed the entire day. Kale is much better than what normally comes on a taco, and the flavor doesn’t overwhelm as kale is known to do. From the sauces, there is a good heat which was a nice surprise the first time. “I had the pleasure of dining at The Hitching Post DC. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, mac & cheese, collard greens. The lamb chops are in my top 2 of the best I've ever tasted. I don't normally order mac & cheese when I go out to a restaurant, but this order was perfect as well. The collard greens could use a little vinegar, however, they were still delicious. We got there on a Saturday morning and ran into a pretty decent line, but the staff were super friendly and it moved along quickly. Everything was super fresh, flavorful, dynamic without being overly salty or sweet, just delicious and interesting and well balanced. I can’t recommend it enough. The cherry on top is that it’s also super reasonable. Parking is a little dicey in that area but if you look in the residential neighborhoods, you’ll eventually find something. “The night before the Marine Corps Marathon, we celebrated our anniversary dinner with family and relatives at Satay Club, a cozy Malaysian restaurant tucked in the heart of Washington DC. I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors — and this place truly impressed us with every bite.

We started our feast with their signature Satay — both chicken and lamb. Perfectly grilled with smoky charred edges, the skewers were tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the rich, nutty peanut sauce. It felt like a taste of Kuala Lumpur in DC!

Next came the salted fish fried rice, aromatic and full of wok hei (that irresistible smoky aroma). The balance of savory salted fish, soft egg, and crisp vegetables made it comfort food at its best. The calamari dish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with colorful bell peppers and crunchy shallots — a delightful mix of texture and spice.

We also loved the tofu and eggplant stir-fry, which came in a deliciously savory sauce — rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. To end the evening, we indulged in ice chendol and fried banana, a sweet and refreshing finish that brought nostalgic memories of Southeast Asia.
