“Authentic Latin American food truck. It looks like your basic gas station taco truck, but it is run by a nice elder lady who does all the cooking and it is FREAKING DELICIOUS! An amazing surprise and consistently good (I've been back to try more things and make sure the repeat food was just as good and it was!). I honestly was shocked by how good it was and brought dinner home for my family the second time. It was also inexpensive, but CASH ONLY! Don't miss that step, cash only, but inexpensive and delicious!!! I would be willing to pay 50% more. And the food itself is delicious. I've had the steak burrito spicy, highly reccomend it, and the chicken quesadilla (also highly reccomend but the burrito is my favorite so far). Note, the photos I've posted are mostly eaten, I couldn't help myself and didn't think about it!“

“The food was absolutely amazing! I had beef fajitas, my aunt had the salmon with a wine sauce, my grandma had the carne assada, and my husband had a beef milanesa. I tried everyone’s food and loved all the plates. The meat was so juicy and tender! I have eaten at numerous latin restaurants over the years and this is definitely on top of my list. We received a tres leches cake for my grandma’s birthday and I can say it was the best one I’ve ever had. Just perfect 😍“

“I had the pleasure of dining at The Hitching Post DC. I ordered the grilled lamb chops, mac & cheese, collard greens. The lamb chops are in my top 2 of the best I've ever tasted. I don't normally order mac & cheese when I go out to a restaurant, but this order was perfect as well. The collard greens could use a little vinegar, however, they were still delicious. “My work splurged on us a lunch for us consisting of the Rasa Tantori Tasting Bundle. This meal is advertised as feeding 10 people, I think they are underselling just how much food you get. Were 10 extremely hungry people and then we were 10 very satisfied and perhaps overly full people a few minutes later, with food to spare! Nothing was particularly spicy, there was a little heat on one of the dishes, but nothing crazy. The variety of food is well balanced. Chicken, tofu, saffron rice, Greens, salads, chickpeas and curry with 2 chutneys, even dessert cookies! I recommend this meal if you are looking for an easy way to order a variety of food in one go that can feed 10 hungry, or 14 less hungry people. Especially if any of them are cautious about trying Indian. It was delicious well made. Not to mention conveniently delivered.“

“Food was really good and the staff were very friendly. Curries were very good! My dad went three times last year and then returned twice this summer as he loved it so much.
Curry spice is done as as you like it.
Meals are very filling and worth the money.
Convenient as it is right beside the metro station and open 11am to 10pm.“

“I came here when they first opened in 2020, and I came again recently (2026). The flavor and quality remains great, although the line these days is really long and their opening hours don't make it easy for those outside of DC to stop in for a taste. I would recommend coming to give this place a try if you haven't been before, but it's not really worth the 1-hour or more line for a second visit.

Also, for their vegetable-only toppings, the portobello slices are decent, but for $21 base price for a smaller, more shallow bowl of ramen I would love a serving of heartier, tastier grilled maitake or king oysters. But with the higher costs, taxes, and fees of operating in DC, I could understand how the economics of that might not work well.“

“Finding a hidden gem after a long day of touring is always a win, and Quarry House Tavern delivered exactly what we needed. It is a fantastic, relaxed basement dive bar with a great, chilled-out vibe. The bartender was friendly, and the regular prices are very reasonable—but if you hit their happy hour, the prices are absolutely incredible. The food is also decent and hits the spot. Just keep your eyes open when looking for it, as it is on the side of the building and you have to walk down some steps into the basement. If you are in the area, it is absolutely worth a stop!“
