“We found the Buttonwood by accident but are so glad we did! Across SS from the Walters Art Museum, the food and service was excellent. We had lunch on a super hot day in Baltimore. the Buttonwood was cool and relaxed. Prices were excellent. The beef bulgogi sandwich was tasty!“

“I have been to Pho Bac several times and it is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the Baltimore area. There are many places that serve great pho, and Pho Bac does this as well, but Pho Bac is one of the only places to find Bun Cha, which is absolutely delicious. I also love their combination stir fry (Mì Xào Giòn) with crispy egg noodles and Saigon Golden Crepe. I love this place and want to keep coming back and try other dishes.“

“Tried this place for lunch and had a delicious Bun ga nuong (chicken with vermicelli noodles). Good price for a large portion. Also had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was tasty and strong. The service was quick and friendly. Only downside is it’s in an old and unpleasant food court. Great food great price!“

“We LOVE Vietnamese food. The best place for Vietnamese food we’ve ever been (outside of Vietnam, of course) is not Paris or New York but Houston. By far. And Indochine in Baltimore stands up to many Houston spots. It’s that good. The vegan options are limited, but you’ll be so happy with the banh mi, the pho, and the rolls that you won’t care. The bread for the sandwich, in particular, was exquisite, and the vegan broth for the soup was tasty. Go!“

“Pho, the traditional Vietnamese noodle soup, has gained international popularity for its rich, aromatic broth and fresh ingredients. Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at a local pho restaurant that far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked through the door to the final spoonful of broth, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made this restaurant truly unforgettable.
As I entered the restaurant, the scent of simmering broth and fresh herbs immediately awakened my appetite. The space was clean, cozy, and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful Vietnamese decor that set a calm and pleasant tone. I was greeted right away by a smiling host who seated me quickly and handed me a menu filled with a wide variety of dishes—not only different types of pho, but also traditional appetizers, rice plates, and beverages.
The service throughout the meal was outstanding. The waitstaff were attentive without being overbearing, always ready to answer questions or make recommendations. My server was patient and helpful when I asked about the difference between rare beef pho and brisket pho, even suggesting I try a combination of both. My drink arrived within minutes, and the steaming bowl of pho followed shortly after. The speed and efficiency of the service impressed me, especially during a busy lunch hour.
But what truly stood out was the quality of the food. The pho was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve ever had. The broth was rich and flavorful, clearly made from bones and spices that had simmered for hours. The noodles were perfectly cooked, soft yet firm, and the beef was tender and juicy. Fresh basil, lime, bean sprouts, and jalapeños were served on the side, allowing me to customize the dish to my taste. Every bite was comforting, flavorful, and authentic.
What also made this experience memorable was the attention to detail. The utensils were clean, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for such high-quality food. Even small things, like the server checking in to ask if I wanted more napkins or offering to pack my leftovers, added to the sense that the restaurant truly cared about its customers.
In conclusion, this pho restaurant left a lasting impression on me. It combined exceptional food with top-notch service and a comfortable atmosphere, making it the kind of place I would recommend to anyone. Whether you’re a longtime pho lover or someone trying it for the first time, this restaurant is sure to offer a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.“

“Authentic and flavorful! Got the Bun Bo Hue and sis got the Pho Dac Biet … broth was the right flavor and clean! (Not oily or leftover meat residue from cooking the broth). Loads of meat and noodles… the right size portion for classic Viet soup bowl, which is already a lot! Wish the eggrolls were a tad bigger/a bit more filling but it was good overall… maybe a bit saltier for my liking. Overall I’d keep a coming back here for my Viet food fix!
Don’t recommend the Thai tea though… too much milk and the sweetness is a bit off from a classic Thai tea. Not bad … they have real thai tea not powder or anything… just not exactly the Thai tea portion of tea, sweetener and milk.“

“I went to Pho Saigon Hanoi today with a friend. I LOVE this place. Tucked away in Carney Village next to Weiss Market. WOW. Looks like a typical eat-in take-out Asian eatery, but looks can be deceiving. Not just the quantity but the quality of the food is top notch!! Pho was ready in a flash but tastes like it simmered all day long. The rare steak was sliced thin and cooked in the delicious broth. The meatballs were not the typical frozen ones but were authentic and delicious. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place for a change of pace, then you will be hooked. 5 STARS from me, I will be returning with friends.“

“Pho Miss Saigon was a spontaneous choice due to road closures that sent us a different route, but I am glad we visited.
My SO and I enjoyed pho with the works and bun cha gio with grilled pork. The pho broth was fantastic from the first to last sip. ❤️❤️❤️ The bun cha was fine, but service was slow enough that some of the fresh veg seemed like it was slightly dried out. The marinated, grilled pork was so, so, so good though that I didn't end up caring too much. ?? The thai tea was good, but not better than my homemade stuff, so I probs wouldn't get it again.
I will ?% return for the pho and anything that includes their grilled pork.“

“I got the pho with steak and brisket and it was incredible. The broth had such a good mix of flavors and perfect amount of spice. We also got the spring rolls and they were so hot and fresh and had the best tasting filling.
Very large portions, couldn’t finish the entire bowl but I definitely tried.“

“I'm giving service and atmosphere 3 stars. IYKYK. Family joint with delicious food. Got the cucumber salad, Bangkok noodles with pork and Black Pepper beef ribs. All were delicious. Curry on noodles good with the slippery noodles. The salad that came with it was fresh and a good balance to have. The cucumber salad has vinegar that was refreshing with the richness of the ribs and curry. I will definitely be back.
BTW. The service was friendly and exactly what I would expect from a small family restaurant.“

“Very very basic. Nothing interesting as far as flavors. Barely any chicken and a TON of noodles. Only taste is sweet. Disappointed and won’t return“
