“Pho VN One in Laurel is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants around. The pho is incredibly flavorful rich broth, tender meat, and perfectly cooked noodles every single time. Their portions are generous, and everything tastes so fresh.
The staff is always welcoming and attentive, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. I also love their spring rolls and iced coffee they’re the perfect combo!
Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for dinner with family, this place never disappoints. Definitely a hidden gem in Laurel highly recommend!“

It’s a small, no-frills spot with plenty of tables, but the star is the broth, liquid gold, pure comfort, the kind of flavor that makes you close your eyes for a second bite. There are pho places closer to my house, but my taste buds refuse to settle for anything less, so we make the trip every time.

“We visited DC this weekend from NC. I went to DC Vegan with my non-vegan husband. Two days later he's still raving about the chick'n cutlet club. He said it was the best "chicken" sandwich he ever had and I can't convince him it was actually vegan 😆 Well done friends 👏👏 I had the artichoke bowl which was fantastic and the cheesecake is to die for! Wish we could have stayed in DC longer as I would have loved to try the other menu items.“

The ambience is very sleek and modern (great for a date night) the bar is well-stocked and there are a ton of different vegetable-centered food options that are done really well. My wife also has a gluten allergy and they went through the menu with her to discuss what options were safest for her. We’ll be back for sure.“

Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“I was so sad when Planta Queen Ft Lauderdale closed down. Imagine my glee when I found a Planta Queen around the corner from my hotel in Washington D.C.!!! Just as I remembered, amazing sushi and menu of course, gorgeous decor, chic ambience and welcoming staff. They even had a kids menu and a “happy hour” drinks and sushi menu! Lots of GF options which I appreciate! I will obviously be dining there every night I’m here lol“

“Went to Kitchen +Kocktails for the first time last night. The decor was very nice, and the music was good and not obnoxious. Our server Ally was terrific! I’m not a drinker, so when I asked her if there were any cocktails that didn’t taste like alcohol, I thought she would look at me like I was crazy, but she didn’t! She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and immediately had a couple of suggestions. I went with the mixed berry lemon drop and it was perfect for me. “My friends who live nearby rave about this place. Maintaining a top rating on Yelp and Google, I had to go. A friend and I showed up around 1:30pm on a Friday for lunch. The owner greeted us and quickly took our orders.

The Deluxe Meat Combo generously fed two men. Every dish on the injera was tasty, but our favorites were the Shewa Doro Tibs, Shewa Alicha Wot, Shewa Doro Wot, and Shewa Bozena Shiro. The portions are generous that we had to ask for more injera.

The space is no-frills, but comes with a few small tables. Street parking is nearby.“

“First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

I love the selection on the menu, always something new to try with the daily specials. La Tomate has great staff and an excellent location. “I am elated to have lunched in NAKED LUNCH! My three meals were scrumptious! The prices were great; therefore, I ordered three meals so that I could eat for the evening and the next day! The young lady who prepared my food was lovely, and the older gentleman was a delight. My green juice was absolutely amazing. I vlogged my experience for my YouTube channel.
