“The Elkridge Furnace Inn has a lovely historic ambience and provides a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The wait staff was exceptional and extremely attentive. It's always such a pleasure and privilege to have the owner, Chef Dan, visit each table/guest to inquire about their experience and discuss the cuisine. As always, the food was extraordinary with flavors blending well and highlighting seasonal produce sourced locally. We were truly delighted with our experience and will continue us to return for our next encounter with Chef Dan's unique cuisine.“

“Truly the nicest human running this ice cream shop. And the ice cream is so tasty!! We walked in in a Sunday afternoon and no one else was in the cozy store, so we asked if we could taste every flavor. I'm vegan and from seattle, so felt like this might be my only chance. All their ice cream is vegan (cashew based), soy free, gluten free, and in an effort to keep sugars low, sweetened with dates. They obliged, and as we were tasting another customer walked in who joined in on the tasting party. Soon there were a handful more people. The baklava flavor was my favorite, the chunky monkey flavor had the perfect amount of banana flavor ("because we use real banana"), and the kulfi was a cardamom treat. The sweet potato pie was really impressive (because his son challenged him to make it into an ice cream flavor) and the horchata was the first flavor because his son had food intolerances as a baby. There were three or four flavors of cones you could get, and little premade ice cream sandwiches. If you can't make it to the scoop shop, this ice cream is available in Whole Foods in the wider area, and will be available for nationwide shipping in just a few weeks! I'm going to go into my local store and request that they carry it. Really cute shop, great ice cream, lovey humans. Would recommend!“

“Thursday 3/14/2024 Found this spot while searching for the best ice cream in Baltimore through yelp. The customer service was friendly and informative. I got a triple scoop cup of 1x brownie & 2x moo moo cows ($8.50) and a cup soft serve of Cinnamon Toast Crunch ($4.50). The brownie ice cream was pretty good but the moo moo cows (aka cookies n cream) was easily my favorite. I was excited to try the unique Cinnamon Toast Crunch soft serve after the worker hyped it up but it was not as good as I expected (still decent tho). Overall, it's a Solid ice cream spot that I'd recommend.“

“omg what a local GEM!!! I found this place on Yelp as I was craving juice and they had so many other great reviews. (I had tried to go to another juice spot in the city the day prior but they were closed even during opening hours and my juice craving persisted so here I came) Corner Juice Bar is located in Canton on a corner super close to Patterson Park! Street parking was super easy for me and the decor both inside and out of this shop is soooooo cute. I ordered 2 juices and spoke with the owners for a bit while my drinks were being prepared. First off, the juice is FRESH and they blend it right there and then for you, there's no premade juices. Secondly, I was offered (and took!) some ginger tea while I waited for my juices to be made (which took less than 5 mins they're super fast) and the ginger tea was indeed, quite gingery as I like so this was an unexpected happy surprise. They also gave me my 2 drinks with a plastic drink carrier! Fresh Start Juice 5/5 - a green juice that tastes healthy and refreshing Nature's Rx Juice w/ blueberry and kiwi additions 5/5 - a green juice that tastes a little more sweet than Fresh Start but still super enjoyable and refreshing Definitely recommend coming by and checking them out!!“

“First off, the food is amazing. I recommend trying a few of the small plates and tapas and see if you want to just keep ordering those first before you commit to the entrees. The entrees are large portions you can easily share with another person so I'd go that route so you can try several of the smaller plates. Cuchara offers several staple tapas and small plates which are just as good as I've had in Spain. The service is some of the best I've had. The servers were super friendly and attentive and the food came out so fast. We were honestly surprised how quickly it came out. I can't recommend La Cuchara enough.“

“I am remiss in writing this review. I was completely dying for Chinese food last weekend and I came across Cisu. Vegan, Chinese, and close to me -win! Located in Ridgeview Plaza by the Food Lion on 175 this spot is very bright and clean. The staff are so nice and helpful. The menu is great with a mix of vegan "meats", tofu, and vegetables to pick from. I got the Kung Pao Tofu. It was so delicious and flavorful. And there was a ton of it. I ate it for three meals. My picky meat eating husband was really happy with his pineapple fried rice and spring rolls. The prices were great as well. Cisu is definitely going into regular rotation.“

“We stopped by on a recent Saturday eve, foolishly hadn’t made reservations, and the place was packed. The awesome Host that night was kind enough to take pity & got us a table within oh, 15 minutes or less, and apologized to us for the “wait!” Food was fantastic (Bauernwurst & Falafel and of course potato pancakes) and the beers matched the food. Our server was great as well, for a busy night we never had to flag her down for refills or anything else’s. Cant wait to go back & try some other dishes!“

“I brought my brother in before he goes overseas. He said, and I quote "this might be the best fried chicken I've ever had". To be honest, I've never really had it myself but I have had the meatloaf, the chili cheese dog, and a few other things, and I have always been very satisfied with both the size of the meals and the taste. The sauces that they have are also pretty good. If you're looking for something different to eat or just want something that will likely be good, this place should be one of your options.“

“The neighborhood bird is the star menu item at this restaurant. The chicken sandwich is full of flavor, the sauce adds even more depth to the sandwich and the steamed bun brings everything together. The tempura broccoli is one of the best I’ve had. The rice and beans are also a great side for the sandwich. We also got the pork ancho chile bun and a side of pickles, which was also good. Not sure I would pay for the pickles again, they were quick expensive but enough for 2-3 people to share. The restaurant is a bit small and pretty busy on weekends, so if you’re a large party you may need to eat elsewhere. All in all, all the staff were friendly. I will definitely keep returning here.“

“Food was fresh and delicious. The chicken was slightly salty but that wasn’t an issue when paired with the taziki sauce. The pork gyro was amazing. The owner was incredibly kind to me and my kids. We wandered in at 10:59 and she was so excited to see us despite the fact that she was still setting up. She checked in with me while cooking to adjust spices and explain things so my boys could palate each item which was kind. She was hoping we would eat in the restaurant since she wanted to “host us”. She said she gets hundreds of online orders but everyone is such in a rush all the time. I felt badly for taking the food to go! Next time we will stay. I have no doubt she will join us at the table.“

“Got the cookie dough hard serve and it was tasty - thought it could use more cookie dough pieces though. My boyfriend got amaretto soft serve and it was a generous amount - tasted like vanilla with an amaretto after taste. Was super nice so we waited in the outdoor line, and got to see all the excited dogs waiting for their own pup cups.“

“I booked a reservation for 8 o'clock for my boyfriend's birthday and we sat at the bar for one drink and then got seated. The hostess sat us right by in front of the stage. We enjoyed the beautiful music of jazz band. The service and food were a definite 10/10. We had the gnocchi and escargot appetizers and they were wonderful. The gnocchi was the best. My boyfriend had the burger and I had the steak au poivre for our main meals and both were excellent! The burlesque performances began close to 10 o'clock and were very entertaining! Would definitely come back!“

“Probably my favorite restaurant in the city, of course they make excellent greek food but its the people and location that really do it for me. The owner is always on the grill cooking up heat, but he constantly stops to say hello to the neighborhood regulars who all know each other. The servers have clearly all been working here for a long time, testament to the type of place the owner is running and theyre all the sweetest people. I only ever go when im in the area, by no means a regular and still i feel like a part of the neighborhood every time i go. As far as the food goes, ill just say that ive never been inside and not heard people speaking greek to each other- id wager a big portion of their customers are greek immigrants who know what good greek food is and this is where they eat.Samos is a true Baltimore gem, i love the food and place but i really love the people behind the food.“

“Liquid Earth is best place on Earth that I have ever eaten; and I have eaten a lot in restaurants all over. The family that runs the place is extremely gracious and kind, and they recognized me instantaneously when I visited them after a gap of almost 9 years. It was a great moment. The food is filled with love and just to beat it, they packed me a special free lunch for my travel back to NYC. If you live in the Baltimore, make it a point to eat there more often and if you are visiting, please stop by for a meal at this hidden gem!“

“What a find! When in Baltimore’s Little Italy be sure to stop in at the Ovenbird Bakery! They are super friendly & helpful and their bread is delicious! I’d recommend the olive sourdough bread. I’ve been toasting mine and eating it with a variety of toppings. Yum!They have sandwiches and other bread choices... Be aware that the deli closes at 3:00 and that discounts on some purchases occur after 2:00. There is also “day old” bread that you can purchase. If it isn’t sold, they donate it. Isn’t that wonderful?! I myself, love to make homemade croutons or bruschetta.Street parking availability depends on the day & time.I’d suggest making a day of your visit to Little Italy.Parking: Free street parking during the day not far from the bakery.“

“Definitely old-school bougie (white table cloths, sommelier with a 50+ page wine list, cheese cart, and 4-6 course tasting menus), but don't get me wrong, I won't turn my nose up at a fancy fine-dining experience. Especially since you often get to taste flavors and try fare that you wouldn't normally be able to find at just any establishment. And for the most part, Charleston didn't disappoint. The scallop course was cooked to perfection, the breaded oysters were amazing - fried on the outside and creamy on the inside - it is RARE to get oysters that perfectly fried. My favorite dish was probably the duck. I am a fan of duck in all its forms... greasy over rice, fried and slathered in a bbq sauce... but this was on the scale of a dish I had in DC, where the duck was so tender it was like eating a seared, well-rested steak. Honest, perfection.I was a little disappointed in the white truffle fettuccini and their desserts. They had no wow factor like the rest of the meal and the pasta dish didn't even have real truffles. At over $200 per person for 5 courses, I would have expected a few shavings on the miniscule portion. But, 6 out of 8 of our party loved that dish, so maybe I am being too picky :)The restaurant itself is intimate and upscale, but still approachable. Most guests were dressed up, so it is definitely FANCY, but there is no specific dress code, or at least not one that is enforced from what I could tell. Our party of 8 was seated back in what I am going to call the wine room, where we were surrounded by dimly lit shelves of wine - it was old world and romantic and we had a delightful time.Their wine list is overwhelming - I am not kidding when I said it was over 50 pages! I asked for a Brunello and the Sommelier told me to turn to page 57... 57!!!! So, if you don't know what you are looking for or what might pair well with your upcoming courses, I would suggest asking for a recommendation.I also think our party-size was a little overwhelming for the staff. I am not sure they are used to serving that many people at once. There were times that the food didn't come out all at once, which is awkward for the pacing when you are eating a coursed meal, and one dessert came out a full 5 minutes after the rest of the table's. I know this is nit-picky, but it's an expensive meal at one of the premier restaurants in Baltimore, I would have just thought it would have been a little better coordinated. But, like I said, we had a big group. A smaller group may not have the same experience. Despite that though, the waiters and staff were friendly and helpful, explaining the dishes and the wine-pairings that came with them.<3 All-in-all, I would recommend. It was a fun experience, very enjoyable meal, made all the better with a group of friends <3“

“La Barrera is a hidden gem! If you haven’t been here yet, do not hesitate, it’s fantastic!!! Authentic Argentinean cuisine that reminds me of my mother’s cooking. The service was very high quality, Claudio our server was exceptional and even though this restaurant is casual, he provided a level of service that made my family and I feel like we were at a fine dining establishment. Now, the food, WOW, the empanadas were scrumptious, the spinach, chicken and beef are all amazing so I would go with the Trio option and see if you end up with a favorite but trust me it will be a difficult decision. The steaks were cooked to perfection and Oh My God, the Chimichurri is in incredible, so authentic. I could drink that stuff! We had the parrillada x2, the Filet and the Vacio…all of it was incredibly delicious!!! And the murcilla was amazing as well. Don’t forget about their desserts, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Go to dinner here, you will not regret it. The owner, Sebastian, stopped by and chatted with us, joked around with our family and was an absolute pleasure. You can tell this is more than a restaurant to him and his employees, it’s an experience. River Plate or Boca Juniors, it doesn’t matter, if you want authentic Argentina in the heart of Baltimore…this is it!!!“

“Shop is in a “hole in the wall” ?Once you walk in, it’s a warm climate with warm, dim lighting. You can sit in a half outdoor section as well, however we held off since it was a bit chilly.Service was good. The floral lemonade was strong, tart and a bit sweet. Good, nonetheless. 7/10They give you a bottle of water to distribute via glass for the table. The chicken that comes in the curry ramen and can also be ordered as a side order is good. Great crisp on the breading, juicy and tender chicken. The curry ramen was creamy, flavorful and delicious. 8.5/10Chicken wings were a unique seasoning and sauce. Nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. 7/10Shrimp dish comes out as 3 jumbo shrimp on a bed of spicy mayo. I prefer my sauce on the side, so it’s not overpowering, but it wasn’t a big deal. 7/10The pork belly in the pork belly mazeman is AMAZING. 10/10The Brussels sprouts were tossed in a great sauce. There is a window that you order from and there is one cashier to take the order. The customer service was great. I was able to try the ice cone flavors. There were so many flavors and combination of flavors to choose from. They also had other treats like benigets, brownies, and cakes. They had Takhara brothers ice cream and I'm a huge fan of their ice cream, so I was excited to get the key lime, but it head run out. The clerk offered me other options and told me about the mango, guava, pineapple ice topped with fruit, so I decided to try it. I am so glad that I did. It was really flavorful and refreshing. There was cute outdoor seating that was well maintained. I will most definitely come back here.“
