My go to is an iced cafe latte with vanilla and it was so delicious. Gentleman recommended the tiramisu to us which was also wonderful and we took to finish at home. “I’m fairly new to road biking and had just bought a new to me road bike from FB Marketplace. I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!“

“What a welcoming little Ethiopian coffee shop! Once a market, Dire Coffee opened in 2020. Family-owned, Dire Coffee serves Ethiopian coffee beans in all different ways- black coffee, lattes, and more. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It came out hot and strong. The woman behind the register, who's the wife of the owner, asked how sweet I wanted my latte. She was very kind!

To eat, they have a variety of food. I ordered one sambusa and it was filled with lentils. It hit the spot!

The space itself is small, but comes with many places to sit. There's a small parking lot out front.“

“We had a great time last night! I had a party of 13 and the two managers I talked to were super friendly and accommodating. We sat outside, it was really lovely and the food was great! Plus they have QR codes on all the tables which made it super easy for our large party to order individually.

“The café is ideally located between I-95 and Highway 200, tucked within a quiet residential neighborhood and away from busy commercial areas. It’s a charming, cozy spot with an exceptionally clean interior. The pastries and coffee are delicious, and the staff is warm and welcoming. I met someone there, and it turned out to be the perfect place for a peaceful, uninterrupted conversation. I highly recommend this café.“

“Literally so cute and the food/drinks were SO GOOD! The owners were very sweet. I got a hot chocolate and a Nutella and banana crepe and both were absolutely amazing. The hot chocolate was creamy and chocolatey and it was also the perfect temperature. I recommend adding whip cream as it really elevated the flavor with the contrasting temperatures. My friend got a turkey and cheese crepe and a caramel Frappuccino, both of which were very tasty. The savory crepe was super yummy and the caramel Frappuccino was sweet and frozen/creamy. Overall 10/10 and I definitely want to come back in the future.“

“I love Vigilante Coffee! Best coffee shop in College Park, really close to UMD's campus which is so convenient. The inside is pretty cute, there's a good amount of seating both inside and outside, but it does get busy so seating is not completely guaranteed. Their coffee is pretty good, I tried one of their lavender vanilla lattes I think it was, it was really good. The baristas are very helpful, and the wait time was really short. Prices aren't too bad either!“

“What a great spot! I was traveling through and just barely found this incredible locations and was greeted with a wide variety of delicious drinks. I wanted to come back but didn’t think I ever would be lo and behold I was back three days later. The girls taking orders and making drinks were highly accommodating for my obnoxious needs. I loved the Matcha Latte. I also LOVED the iced Jasmine. So freaking good.“

“I was surprised that there weren't more people here honestly! I love the quiet vibes with the bookshelf in the corner well stocked with books of all genres. There is a $5 minimum for credit/debit cards, but I got a large coffee and it turned out great! Unfortunately, they close at 2pm today rather than 3pm, which was stated by the sign outside as well as the google maps location. Otherwise, definitely worth checking in!“
