“I came here during my lunch break on a weekday. All the pizza options were available and I got the buffalo chicken slice. I don't make that much $, but the pricing was totally worth it. ($6 I believe) The pictures don't do it justice, but if you like NY style thin crust with that grease drip, you'll love this. The crust had that dough bubble that I love, and you could hear the crunch echo throughout the cafeteria. I would love to see some gluten-light offerings in the future but for now? A quick bite for good quality? You won't be disappointed.“

“This is, hands-down, the best pizza you’ll get in Washington DC. Being originally from Connecticut, it has been difficult to find really good pizza in Washington DC however over the last few years the options have gotten much better. This pizza joint blows all of them out of the water. To me, their Macharoni Is the best bite of pizza you can get in the entire DMV. It is also really difficult to find a good buffalo chicken pizza in this area, and this one is absolutely phenomenal. They’re dough holds up incredibly well, their pies are always perfectly cooked and never rushed even when they’re busy like some other places, and ingredients are a superb quality and really shine through. I have friends who come to visit once a year from Florida and New Jersey and each year they always request to go back to Bogey and Peele. Their pizzas deliver well with the green ingredients holding up through the delivery process. Their wings are solid and a good choice. The Caesar salad is always perfectly seasoned and dressed and also delivers well. I highly recommend eating there in person, it has such a great vibe, especially when you sit at the Counter in front of the kitchen. Also, don’t sleep on the Reuben.“

The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. The ambience was beautiful, with all the pictures and artwork of Asmara adding such a warm and authentic touch, truly making me feel like I was back home. “My best friend and I were visiting DC from Texas and we loved our experience here! From the DELICIOUS food, fantastic service, to the games and Photobooth downstairs - we really enjoyed ourselves! “A very inviting corner restaurant, great for people watching and cocktails. The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was lux. We went on a Saturday and it just felt like they needed a manager around. Felt like they were really understaffed and not ready for the crowds. There were some people who had worked there longer and were directing others, and the food did come out of the kitchen timely. But there wasn't a sense of table service really, you just catch them when you can, know the candle won't get lit even after you asked and teach the server how to swipe the card. I wish they had someone tending to things, but maybe when it's slower it will be better. The pizza was good, and lots of pepperoni. I wished it wasn't quite as soggy in the middle but it tasted good. And the burrata had no flavor, no nice olive oil or pepper, very bland, but it was a hearty portion. Can't complain about the drinks. I can sense when there's no service concept so I hope they get it together.“

“I have loved many pizza places. None of them has been as consistently amazing as Martha Dear. The guanciale and arugula pie I had last night is another utterly stunning iteration. I will think about this one in my sleep. I will crave it. As much as I will stand on a soapbox telling anyone who will listen that Martha Dear is not just THE best pizza in the DMV, but one of the best restaurants in the area, it is the conspicuously kind service that is the first thing I will mention. “We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

“I'm a regular at Angelo's almost every Tuesday during the fall middle school and spring high school softball seasons. I stop there between the game I umpire and teaching religious education around the corner at St. Patrick's. I will say that the quality at Angelo's is outstanding. I usually do a combination cheeseburger sub or steak and cheese. They are excellent. Plus, the fries are real fries that come out of the deep frier nice and crispy. I often will treat my religious education class to pizzas from Angelo's and they always tell me it's good pizza. Finally, they have Little Gina's pizzels. They're an Italian cookie my Italian mom would make and they are exactly like she would cook them. So, if you want some great pizza or sub plus some really crispy fries, I highly recommend Angelo's. Maybe I'll see you there some Tuesday!“
