Everything tasted delicious, but for me the pumpkin seed gnocchi with the mushroom ragout really stands out on the menu. The folks at this restaurant really care about sustainability (like having plates made out of pressed used wine bottles). I also recommend the wine pairing. Service is top notch. This is a restaurant you should not miss when visiting Washington DC.“

We were lucky to get seated pretty quickly on a Monday evening, and the waiter took great care of us. I had a nice gluten-free lamb bolognese, and the others at our table really enjoyed their dishes as well. The waiter was even able to bring out gluten-free bread for me. Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“

“We popped in to the Hawk n Dove after a busy morning touring the Capitol Building. We were greeted at the door in a reasonable amount of time. It looked like the restaurant was full, but they were able to get us a table near the kitchen - which is always fun since you can watch the buzz of the kitchen and wait staff hustling out all of the food orders. There is a lot going on here - busy bar, sports, news and trivia televised on screens above the bar. Witty T-shirts and memorabilia hanging on the walls. Generous portions, and upscale healthy food options in addition to the normal pub grub. We noticed that other tables had opted for salads and flatbreads so we did too. The personal sized flatbread was the perfect amount for one person. Nice combination of toppings and a warm soft crust. Salads were perfectly seasoned and dressed. Everyone in my party was happy with their lunches. Definitely would recommend.“

The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. “Rober (Robert) makes the best breakfast sandwich on the planet!As an airline employee, I find myself eating in airports regularly.I tried the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit at Timber Pizza for the first time ever and I must say that it was incredible. The freshly baked biscuit was fluffy on the inside and toasty on the outside. The chopped bacon mixed and melted perfectly with the egg and cheese and the sandwich was served hot, fresh and delicious. Timber's breakfast sandwich might be slightly more expensive than the other options at DCA but not only was it hot, fresh and delicious but it was very hearty! When Robert handed me the sandwich, I immediately noticed how heavy it was.
