“I had an incredible experience trying both the empanadas and the burgers here! The empanadas were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, with a savory, deeply flavorful, and juicy filling that tasted completely authentic. The burger was equally impressive—perfectly seared, incredibly juicy, and served on a fresh, soft bun with top-tier toppings. It is rare to find a spot that excels at two completely different specialties, but this place knocks both out of the park. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Ahi tuna was superb, as were the ribs. The big surprise was how good the wedge salad was - lots of blue cheese and the candied bacon was delicious. Wife said it was the best bite of bacon she ever had. The manager checked in on us, as did the head chef! This will become a go-to spot for us.“

“I have been going to Tom and Rays since the old location. What makes them stand out is the cost conscience menu, fresh tasting food, and a staff mostly local high school kids that are professional with can do attitude. Right now I’m raving about something as simple as stewed tomatoes as a complementary side dish. Their breakfast foods including creamed chipped beef fresh. Their lunch and dinner foods bring you back, especially the open faced beef sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy, to a simpler time. Check out their menu and ask them about their pies.“

We’ve been to Bench so many times and we were always very happy with the food and service . This is a hidden gem in Rio. While other restaurants are crowded and noisy, this one has a classy and quiet atmosphere. The food’s delicious and flavorful. We appreciate the chef and the hosts- they get busy with a small staff but they are still very hospitable and attentive.
