We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

He did all he could to make the night special for us. All of the staff shared personal stories and tidbits of information throughout the night.Everything was meticulously crafted, plated, and presented to us with pride, joy, and love. The tiniest details made the largest impact on creating an overall completeness to each dish.It was breathtaking, palate pleasing, borderline overfilling, and will be a lasting memory and true highlight of our trip.If you are debating visiting this location, do it. The room is dark and swanky with great artwork of politicians from both sides of the aisle, upscale bar snacks come with your table, and you’ll pay $35 for an ounce of Woodford - but you may spot a member of Congress, too. The ambiance felt artsy and people were dressed casually but the food was fancy and expensive. My partner and I got the duck feast and everything was tasty, particularly the duck. We are duck lovers who eat duck a lot especially from Chinese restaurants and this duck was so tender and the skin was crispy the way I like it. We also had the mint ice cream bar for dessert which was super unique, almost savory and wrapped in an edible covering but I couldn't place what the covering was made out of (maybe white chocolate)? “"I love this bar; the ambiance is great! It's cozy and comfortable with seating both downstairs and upstairs (overlooking the downstairs). The service is great too. I let our server know I preferred gin and he was happy to have me name a drink or create one based on my preferences. Would recommend and enjoy returning!"“

“Nice bookstore slash restaurant Cafe. Plenty of space to work and eat or both. Strong wifi as well. The art decorations are amassing. It's almost like being in a gallery. Service is chill, mostly younger with a chill, friendly demeanor - I like it.I ordered the creole shrimp which was sad in terms of portion. It was $18 for a scoop of rice, several pieces of shrimp and vegetable tomato sauce. Want really good nor really bad just meh. I felt it was overpriced. Plus the shrimp could've been cooked more. But the presentation was beautiful. All in all it's a nice cafe. And I'd recommend coming here to read our but books, drink a coffee and work, but not the food. A bit overpriced for what you get.“

“Miko, my server was excellent. As a solo vacationer and I was there they during off hours he was kind enough to engage in casual conversation, very pleasant. This location was perfect for outside dining where there the foot traffic was not distracting. The burger was cooked to perfection as ordered and the shoestring fries were delicious as well. Highly recommended.“

“We enjoyed Dovetail very much! The food was all delicious. We actually went twice - once for the happy hour and the next night for dinner. The happy hour small bites were fabulous. $2 oysters, a nice charcuterie board, and amazing crab deviled eggs. The dinner was equally delicious- I had a delightful tagliatelle with clams and artichokes. Service was excellent - shout out to Yusuf, who was our waiter both times.“

“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“

“Really enjoyed the tuna, squid, quail and pineapple as the dessert. The tuna is my favourite as it was well balanced with aroma of fruit and nuts (roasted banana, orange and sunflower seeds). Crispy crust with juicy tender inside fish. The touch of lemon grass made the dish so memorable and distinct from other restaurant. They rotate their menu with the season.“

“This cozy restaurant has left the best impression! Hospitable hosts and staff, delicious dishes (the salmon, cod and short ribs are to die for! and definitely get the Brussel sprouts and beet salad as a starter and order all the desserts and share with friends because they’re all so good you’re going to want to try them all- the crème brûlée is so so so good!), the beer list is extensive and alway changing. I’ll definitely be back again and again because there seems to always be something new to try. I am so happy it’s reopened. Definitely go upstairs to Churchkey for after dinner drinks. It won’t disappoint“

“Festive meal with friends at Ted's Bulletin. This restaurant does not pretend to be high-sophistication food, but everything we ordered was plentiful and flavorful. This ranged from breakfast food to burgers to carrot cake and milk shakes. For a fun restaurant with tasty food and no pretense, highly recommend.“
