“We walked in late last night because I noticed they had gluten free (GF) and vegan pizza. The owner greeted us when we walked in and was very excited to make my pizza when he found out I was vegan/GF. He was proud of the level of care and compliance they adhere to when making allergy friendly options. He told us TropQ stands for “Ty’s Recipes Zero (0) Preservatives Quality.” The vegan cheese was outstanding - melted like a real cheese pizza! I will say that the thin GF crust was charred on the outside but soft on the inside, so each slice was a bit “floppy” when you picked it up. But it tasted very good. We will definitely be back!“

“Sandwich and coffee for $9. YES. Coffee is WAY better than any Starbucks or Dunkin' and the food is fresh, HOT, and delicious. Highly recommend the Jalapeno Biscuit breakfast sandwich. “I had heard about this from a former coworker. Husband and I tried it for breakfast to go. The pastries looked great. I got the PB&J croissant and my spouse had the almond croissant. His was ready within two minutes. I had to wait on mine. And wait. I asked and was told "We'll call you when it is ready!". After 15 minutes I asked, loudly, where was my order? The staffer said "Oh it's here". It had been there the whole time. Now it was lukewarm. But it was delicious. Thus 4 stars. The staff should not act aloof. You work in a bakery, not Harrods! And take off the AirPods! It's a bad look in customer service. A tweek on service attitude and this place will be perfect ! . This place is open on Sundays.“

“Best bakery (& sandwiches) in area! European quality pastry shop, very fairly priced. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Quality is 100%! Having lived overseas and on the West Coast can say this is one of the best pastry shops ever visited. Annapolis is incredibly fortunate to have them in both Port Annapolis and Edgewater. “This was my first time at this location. Rise makes great coffee with several varieties and flavors available. This location is small and when we got there, the line was out the door. There is only enough room for maybe 4-5 people to stand in line inside, so I'm sure if it was busier, the line would go out through the parking lot. The staff was very friendly and the coffee service is quick. They also sell bags of coffee and apparel options which we took advantage of. There is limited seating inside consisting of 3-4 tables and they were all full. They also have gender neutral bathrooms.Except for the quick serve breakfast sandwiches, the other food items come from a trailer behind the building. The food took a while to come out. There is also limited seating outside which would be really nice if the weather was a little warmer. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, but since it was cold outside, we ate in the car. I would consider ordering ahead if possible unless you don't mind waiting a while for food.“

“I had never been to a place with these types of bowls but always wanted to try it. I put it in my GPS because this particular day I wanted a healthier snack. I was shocked when I got there and saw it was actually a food truck! Didn't bother me so I got out to view the menu. Good options. I didn't know what to choose so I got a Nicoya bowl. It was just OK to me but that was my fault for jumping out there and picking something I knew nothing about. It just wasn't a good mix of fruit/toppings for my taste. However, I will be going back to try other things. The fruit was fresh, bowl was big and well made, friendly service and they even have a cute little setup if you want to sit outside and eat. “Rise Up (and Ceremony) are my go to coffee spots in the Annapolis area. Can get pretty slammed in the morning, so using their online ordering system is the move, especially if you're ordering food. Their coffee is excellent, but don't sleep on the breakfast burritos. I wouldn't say this is a coffee shop you'd want to spend a few hours at reading or studying, the inside has seating, but again it can get pretty hectic. There are a few tables outside that are a better option if you can snag one.“

“Looking for a quick coffee break from all your shopping adventures in downtown Annapolis? Rise Up might be the spot! We visited here for the first time a few days ago as we were traveling through Maryland and stopped in Annapolis for the day and we were pleasantly surprised with both the seasonal maple iced latte and the iced tea we got. I didn’t see until I had already received my drink that they had a supposedly iconic coffee smoothie on their menu. That was probably their best menu item - shame I didn’t get a chance to try it. Next time!! But yeah, this place is located in a little food hall that has several different vendors all in one location. So, you can come here for food from some other places and get your coffee at Rise Up all at the same time! I really enjoyed this place, service was good, our drinks came out fast, and there really were no complaints. I will be trying the coffee smoothie next time I’m in Annapolis and stop by Rise Up!!“

He greeted us with such an upbeat, bright attitude and helped me figure out the Coolatta drink I like after I struggled to name it. Our drinks were out within one minute, which is lightning speed, and they were both delicious.
