“Me and my hubby came by today and let me just say the food is phenomenal. My husband got the whiting fish with hot sauce and he tore it up lol. He said "some of the best fish I've ever had." I got a smash burger plain with just ketchup but it was perfect. Seasoned amazingly. Very friendly lady and guy working hubby didn't catch their names but they were very helping and kind. Definitely will be returning. Only paid $20 for both mine and his food. Great quality and prices. Thank you guys for the excellent service.“

“This is by far the best chicken and fish place in Baltimore. The fastest selling item is the macaroni and cheese. People are coming in and ordering just macaroni and cheese sometimes and they're ordering extra on the side with their meal. And the cabbage is to die for oh my god I don't know what he puts in the cabbage but it's great. If you're looking for a place to get some good soul food this is it!“

“We had a truly wonderful experience with Chey Roes wonderful food. We were celebrating a special event at the last minute and Chef Roe was able to accommodate 35 colleagues and myself. The steaks were PHENOMENAL and cooked to perfection. The scallops were pan seared to Gordon Ramsey standards and the brussel sprouts were bursting with flavor! If you are looking for a one of a kind chef who uses quality ingredients AND who will cater to your needs at the last minute THIS IS YOUR GUY! This was our first time using his catering services but certainly will not be our last. Chef Roe’s Plates/Caterer is ABSOLUTELY worth it and definitely one of the best around!“

“I am new to creole food and the food was very good. Loved the spices! We sat downstairs, they have an upstairs dining room that must open when they're busier. We got the last table before having to wait to be seated. Food was great, service fast and the drinks were well-made. I would come back! I should point out the sodas are not complimentary refills. Somehow my friend had $14 in sodas. Kinda weird and when we asked, they pour Cocola from a can. I prefer fountain when dining out. But still, $14. +tax+gratuity. I didn't take off a star for this. It's a solid 4 star (not fine dining) experience.“

I got the smothered turkey wings, cabbage and sweet potatoes (oh can't forget about the pound cake) ?. My entire dish was delicious, more importantly the customer service was AWESOME!! “They really know what they doing here. I was in Baltimore for the weekend and decided to check them out. I was not disappointed. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area again. Everything we had was top tier. We had pineapple chili salmon tenders, maple jerk wings, Mac and cheese, greens, rice, and yams. The platters were hefty and worth the price“

“The service and atmosphere overall was okay. I gave them a three because the couple behind me was offered samples because it was their first time however I didnt receive the same hospitality as it was my first time as well. I ordered the vegan crab cake wrap, chick pea burger, vegan Mac and cheese, greens and chocolate chip cookies. The crab cake was flavorful, the sauce complimented the wrap and tastes just like crabmeat! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they used dark green vibrant lettuce on the wraps instead of non-nutritional iceberg lettuce. I would order every time! On the other hand the chick pea burger was okay although I must be upfront I ate it a day and a half later. The mac and cheese was okay, needed a little more seasoning and taste like nutrients yeast and macaroni noodles, nothing to write home about. A little bit of spice would have taken it to another level. The greens were basic with an after taste that I couldn't quite but my finger on, same for the cookies. They lacked moisture and taste like your average off brand cookie. The crab cake will call you back every time and for that they get a 4...it's that damn good!!!“

“I had a taste for soul food today and came across Ebony's Kitchen during a Google search and decided to give this a try. I called and Ebony and Tina answered my inquiries fully. My husband, son and me truly enjoyed experiencing all these flavorful foods. It was delicious and delightful. We ordered the chicken dinners with sides mac n cheese, candied yams and collards. “To start, the food was delicious. I order catfish, make and Green Day’s ago while visiting Baltimore and just remembered to leave this place a review because not only was the food great but the customer service was as well. Staff was very attentive and professional. The owner let me order a dinner plate at 10am (there’s nowhere else I could’ve gotten that) and I love dinner for breakfast sometimes. Place is definitely 10/10 I’ll probably get another platter from them today.“

“I’m a southern girl— moved to Baltimore last year for school. Nothing has made me feel more at home than the food here. Absolutely delicious!! My dad and I both got the catfish bites (mine hot honey glazed, his honey Old Bay) with greens and mac and cheese. Catfish was crispy and well-seasoned. Greens were soft and full of flavor. Mac and cheese was baked with plenty of broiled cheese bits. Fruit Punch tasted homemade and absolutely scrumptious. If you are craving real-tasting homegrown SOULFUL soul food, do not miss this place!! “Every time I order, the team members, no matter who is there, are always polite. I usually order the same thing so I’m pretty satisfied with my order. If I veer off to something else, I usually like it. if I don’t, I just don’t order it again. Customer service is always A1 though.“

“Finally had enough food from here to give it a review. Usually get the fried chicken, which is always on point. Tastes like a grandmother made it with love, and is always consistently good. Have had the fish and that’s good, and they give you a lot for the money. Decided to try the turkey wings yesterday and that’s what made me finally decide to write a review. “GREAT food! Beautiful presentation, seasoned well, Salmon (Platter) grilled PERFECTLY. Top 5 Mac and Cheese ever (both the entree Build Your Own Mac & Cheese and the side), and the Collard greens are Top 3. Will *definitely* be ordering from here again. “Took the toddler grands for lunch. We got A LOT of food for our money. The mac and cheese alone is worth the visit. Chicken was as good as I've had. I got the breast quarter plate. I wanna probably get a leg quarter next time. Sweet potato and muffin combine to make a serious sweet potato pie in your mouth. Owner and staff were great. Relaxed vibe Small place, two booths and counter seating. We took home leftovers, and they went quick!“
